The drama and conflict are a result from the competition smart one.
That's not always the case smart one.
The majority watch to see who wins not contrived drama...that's why the fan bases for these shows isn't the same as The Real World or The Bachelor.
Oh really? So you speak for the Majority right? Yeah Okay, You go right on believing that.
The drama and conflict are a result from the competition smart one.
Not necessarily, that what cause the most interesting drama in my OPINION but there is other drama that doesn't have to deal with competition.
Oh really? So you speak for the Majority right? Yeah Okay, You go right on believing that.
See what the fan base consists of...if it was just about drama those that watch The Real World would all be watching this but many of them don't care about competition.
That's not always the case smart one.
It is on these shows. Always. Real World has drama because of different personalities. The Challenge takes that and adds competition which alters that drama since the feeling of competition makes everyone angsty, excited and a little paranoid. Stick to watching the real world debut, for your own sake. You don't seem like a true Challenge fan to me.
The majority watch to see who wins not contrived drama...that's why the fan bases for these shows isn't the same as The Real World or The Bachelor.
I will disagree with this, that's why theme challenge (Exes/Rivals) have bring the highest rating in the last 9 seasons....Because people like the drama they bring to the table not because they want to see who really wins. It's competition, but most than anything it's a reality show on MTV.
I will disagree with this, that's why theme challenge (Exes/Rivals) have bring the highest rating in the last 9 seasons....Because people like the drama they bring to the table not because they want to see who really wins.
See those ratings compared to when the show actually had good ratings based on a solid cast and good competition Exes is still all about CT-Diem not the name IMO...hell, Rivals was all about CT-Adam not the name...again IMO
That back-and-forth Mark conversation was hilarious to read. It was like watching Dumb and Dumber.
See what the fan base consists of...if it was just about drama those that watch The Real World would all be watching this but many of them don't care about competition.
No. That's because they don't want to see the same **** over and over again. These shows are like a Broken record. you can't deny that.
No. That's because they don't want to see the same **** over and over again. These shows are like a Broken record. you can't deny that.
They're not. That's entirely your opinion dude. These shows always bring something new each season which is why I find them more entertaining than any other show on television right now. The Challenge is TV gold for those that like sports and reality tv.
No. That's because they don't want to see the same **** over and over again. These shows are like a Broken record. you can't deny that.
I'm confused...do you just mean because Johnny keeps winning?

Bunim Murray/John Murray and Susanne Daniels will disagree with you big time especially on these era and how reality show have evolved ;) The name bring the casual viewers that don't watch this shows that they need in order for the show to survived. Something The island, The Inferno 3, The Gauntlet 3, Fresh Meat 2, Cutthroat, Seasons 2 and Free Agents were lacking. A challenge named Battle of the Exes and Rivals attract more CASUAL viewers and NEW viewers than a challenge called any of those names that I metioned above.

Casual viewers can't save this show. They screwed long time viewers long ago and these desperate "themes" have only made it worse. Let's be real...the need to promote the show better and not just promote it on MTV.

So Tonya throwing Beth's clothes in the pool was a result of the competition right? Chadwick and Holly Calling Belou a bad mother was a product of competition right? Nany and Camilla fighting each other was a product of the competition right? Backpack calling KellyAnne a dumb ***** was a product of competition right? Nope. NONE of those instances had ANYTHING to do with the competition at all. IF you were to take the competition out of this show there will STILL be drama. And yes I am a real fan of this show. If I wasn't I wouldn't be here. Just because I don't value competition AS MUCH as the Drama doesn't mean I'm not a fan. It's okay to like other things about this show you know.
Let's be real...the need to promote the show better and not just promote it on MTV.
exactly.

It's okay to like other things about this show you know.
You want to throw out examples? Okay, I'll give you a good one. The whole Nany/Derek/Frank/Zito gorefest from BOTS2. What the hell was the result of all this chaos? Well, Nany had enough of everyone aiming for Vegas and letting San Diego's cocky ***** run everything. Derek, who was supposedly Nany's friend, was not backing her up. If it wasn't for the fact that this show was a competition then Derek would have been backing Nany up the whole show. However, the fact that San Diego kept winning and controlling everything obviously made Nany mad and then one thing led to another and you end having a wild Zito getting "street" on Frank. The competition gets to their heads. People become enemies because of the competition. Who's going to vote for who, who's going to nominate who, who's going to target who, who's going to pick who, etc... all this creates drama.
I'm confused...do you just mean because Johnny keeps winning?
Not just that. The same people keep getting cast. Which leads to the same Dynamics and same old allies and same old people get eliminated. I mean how many times are we gonna See Cara Maria Cry about Being an "Outcast"? How many times are we going to watch Backpack walk his way to a win? How many times are we going to see the cast turn the house into a nightclub/Stripjoint? How many times are we going to see rookies voted out first/early? Alot of the same **** keeps happening on these shows and I'm willing to bet that's why some people turned away from this show. I don't get why you can't see that.
Did you guys post the #30-21 Top 50 Most memorable challenge moments? I'm about to watch to wrap up my night.
That's not always the case smart one.
The challenges give it some structure. Otherwise you could just have people partying all day every day and then sending someone home - just a popularity contest. It wouldn't hold up.
I don't really disagree with you. But say the producers came to you and wanted you to cast the next season, what would it look like?
It would look like the end of The Challenge series.

Battle of the Seasons was all rookies all the time.
Rookies getting voted out first is and has always been nonsense

I didn't know that. From what It looked like on the show People just got randomly mad at her because she was going to fight to stay as long as she can. But you're right though the competition does breed drama...but not all the time. And not always And that's my point so it still stands.
Off the topic at hand I guess, but I'm watching old challenges lately because I only started watching them as they aired during the first Rivals. Right now I'm watching Inferno 3, and I just saw the episode where Timmy got eliminated. That guy seems like a class act, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of his seasons (I'm going backwards for some reason). Usually exit speeches are so cheesy, but his kind of warmed my heart and I don't even really know who he is yet lol.
