Why couldn't production just keep the format quiet and get all the people they wanted and then reveal what it's going to be so there wouldn't be no backing out (Cory's exes, Averey, etc...)

2 of cory "exes" doesn't really want to extend tehir contract with MTV for another year, while the other is not interesting in doing Reality TV.
They kept the format quiet But like the first Rival, First Exes and Seasons 2 the format was to obvious.
It is kind of annoying that the cast already knows who they are going to be paired with but with theme challenges like Rivals/Exes/Seasons it is easy to firgure out.
This would have been the last perfect chance for them to do an Old School VS New School challenge with a lot of great veterans and a lot of fresh faces.

Darrell, Mark Long, Derrick, Brad, CT, Bananas, and then fillers for the rest of the guys like Dunbar and Tyler.
These stupid pair formats are turning away great potential (Averey) and excluding many great competitors because they don't really have an ex on the show (Brad, Mark, etc)
Then we got people like Joi who can't do this challenge because they don't have a challenge ex and people like Cory who want to do this challenge but all their exes declined.

Derrick wife doesn't want him to do more show or even talk about it...That's he doesn't do podcast or have a twitter no more.
I agree with you on the second part, except for the Joi part because she is going to keep being a alternate or just not get call at all. The same is going to end happening to Averey if she decline, with new season of real world filming/airing their chances of getting calls diminished.

It's an old school vs new school I can definitely see a chance of Derick coming back.
And you see Averey would not have been an alternate or even decline this season if this season was an Old School VS New School format.
BMP basically shot themselves in the foot with this. Especially if they're going to keep showing Real World before the Challenge and not have anyone from that Real World season on the challenge because they filmed around the same time.

I disagree--she'll probably be with Jordan as Leroy-Theresa is pretty much a given IMO. Unless they put Theresa with Wes. Theresa will almost definitely be on the next season.
