Exactly. Anyone with an understanding of sports gets this. It's why players in the NBA shouldn't be compared straight across with people from the past and pundits always say that they shouldn't be because the game is so different. I think it's laughable that because a guy could what? Pack a car faster than a bunch of girls or rub paint on a canvas with his body really well, he should be considered comparable to what they make them do today.
Well said, the older challenger cater to different set of skills that the ones today, so is unfair to compare people from the older challenges from people from the current era.
CT outperformed by Johnny in Lupe Me Up, but CT outperformed Johnny in Feel The Burn (Johnny was even impressed by his performance). Johnny was not the best individual male performer on Exes, there isn't enough mission stats to support that. And I can easily say Mark outperformed Johnny in Don't Rock The Boat since had the best strategy out of all of the males.
But who knows what happened to Johnny on either one of those challenges? WHO KNOWS?
But who knows what happened to Johnny on either one of those challenges? WHO KNOWS?
You stated that CT would normally outperform Johnny in Lupe Me Up. Why didn't he? I don't know (he looked lost at the end).
I do not think Zack was better than Bananas at FA finale. But if they had meet at elimination, Zack would have won(doesn't matter which game)
Because all the eliminations catered to the bigger person.
We need to bring in the sabermetricians for in depth challenge analysis and advanced metrics.
You stated that CT would normally outperform Johnny in Lupe Me Up. Why didn't he? I don't know (he looked lost at the end).
I didn't say that. I said that everyone thought that Johnny would lose to CT. But he didn't. Johnny was better, point, blank, period. And it wasn't a fluke...it happened twice. That season Johnny won 3 challenges (one which relied heavily on his individual performance), came in second on 2 (one of which he confirmed he threw to Sarah and Vinny), was in the top quarter on 1 (trivia), and lost once (on a challenge where he a) had to go first and b) his partner was AWFUL). Johnny was the best mission performer on Exes. Nothing you say can convince me of otherwise...and I actually understand sports and competition from a perspective beyond watching other people from my couch.
I can name several missions in the old era that were just as difficult as any mission in the new era.
This will be amusing.. Name them. Guaranteed the new eras missions are much more difficult than the old eras. New times, new technology, new materials to challenge the competitors. But please.. Enlighten us.
This will be amusing.. Name them. Guaranteed the new eras missions are much more difficult than the old eras. Enlighten us.
He'll pull the toughest challenge off of Gauntlet 1 and say that it was tougher than like...the eating one on Battle of the Seasons 2.
The older challenges had better overall male and female competitors, the only thing that's harder in the new era are the final missions.
Missions and eliminations are harder now than they were then. You cannot compare "Don't Toss My Cookies" or "Smell You Later" from Inferno to any of the recent challenge elimination rounds. Or comparing the missions like where they had to eat ice cream or the mission where the had to put bird food into the container with their mouths. You cannot compare these to today's missions or elimination rounds.
Again, you dismissing anything that doesn't fit your argument I love Camila being better than Emily too.
I do not agree with Paul on Bananas being just decent, but Camila was definitely better than Emily that season.
I didn't say that. I said that everyone thought that Johnny would lose to CT. But he didn't. Johnny was better, point, blank, period. And it wasn't a fluke...it happened twice. Camila was the main reason they won Give Me Some Honey, and Camila gave a strong performance in Rolling in the Deep as well. You can only give Johnny Lupe Me Up.
It really doesn't even matter. I witnessed Debut saying how good Bananas is. No other anti-Bananas person's opinion matters to me.
Give me a break!
I do not agree with Paul on Bananas being just decent, but Camila was definitely better than Emily that season.
Johnny is good, not decent. He just isn't a top tier competitor all time like a lot of people seem to think.
I do not agree with Paul on Bananas being just decent, but Camila was definitely better than Emily that season.
To each their own. Put Emily with Bananas and they win every single challenge IMO
To each their own. Put Emily with Bananas and they win every single challenge IMO
Emily was NOT better than Camila on Exes!
So if any competitor performed the best in Lupe Me Up means they get the title of best competitor on Exes right?? It was all about Lupe Me Up....
Not at all. I was just going by your flawed logic. You said all challenges wherein someone had to rely on a partner should be discounted. There was only one challenge on Exes where they competed as individuals. Ergo, by your logic, Lube Me Up should be the only challenge that mattered. Johnny Bananas won the only challenge that mattered, so he was the best competitor, all based on how you "rate" the athletes.
To each their own. Put Emily with Bananas and they win every single challenge IMO
Emily has a lot of potential and she showed that on Exes, but she was at fault for some of her shortcomings in missions as well. I agree if you swap Emily/Camila, Camila wouldn't do well, but that woukd be the case for most.
Emily was NOT better than Camila on Exes!
She appeared to be better to a novice like you because of the strength of her partner.
Not at all. I was just going by your flawed logic. You said all challenges wherein someone had to rely on a partner should be discounted. You don't understand how I rank competitors. I rank based on overall individual performance (from all of the missions).
She appeared to be better to a novice like you because of the strength of her partner.
Oh my gosh....go back and analyze that challenge. Camila was the best performing female.
Only pair missions that shows off the most individual strength matters! You don't understand how I rank competitors. I rank based on overall individual performance (from all of the missions).
How you rank individuals means nothing to any of us. It is so flawed a 2 year old could point that out. And we all understand it...you ignore whatever doesn't allow people to fall in the order that you like them
Oh my gosh....go back and analyze that challenge. Camila was the best performing female.
With Johnny
Wins are irrelevant, he has a very good record of performance. CT, Theo Von and Landon are the best when it comes to individual stats in missions.
How the **** are wins irrelevant when they are 10x tougher than all the missions and eliminations of that challenge combined? Stop being delusional. Its funny how these kids that are huge fans of the old shows think people like Theo, Jamie or Dan S. would fair well in finals that are 10x tougher than anything they've ever done (Rivals, Exes, FA). Challenges back then were easier than the challenges of today. To discredit Bananas's accomplishments is just pure ignorance and idiocracy.
With Johnny
Exchange Johnny with one of the worst females there and what would happen?
Only pair missions that shows off the most individual strength matters! You don't understand how I rank competitors. You talk about Feel the Burn, but it was Johnny's partner that put in a bad performance, not Johnny. But I'm sure if I pointed to Hook Up where Johnny did 85% of the work, his team SMASHED everybody, and he intentionally lost the power couple round, you would say that was a paired challenge and doesn't matter. Your logic makes no sense and is completely based on the eye test, which is all it can be since the show is so heavily edited and times are rarely given. You have no more advanced way of ranking than anyone else.

Theo Von and Dan S were top tier competitors, in their prime, they could definitely excel in todays missions and final missions, don't be disrespectful. Do you think Johnny would of made it to the final three on either Battle of the Sexes challenges?
Exchange Johnny with one of the worst females there and what would happen?
Put anyone in history with one of the worst females what would happen Wes-Casey is the exception to the rule and they still did horrible in every mission and awful in the final
