MTV was playing a show called "party down south" earlier which is basically the jersey Shore of CMT.
same person who produced jersey shore produced party down south except it aired on CMT.
I find it odd they were playing it rather than actual mtv show reruns. They were in SC I think (May have been NC). I wouldn't be surprised if they go there for season 30 either tbh.
First of all, Degrassi is not an MTV show nor are the movies they are showing like 50/50, The House Bunny, Scary Movie 1-3 ETC.
Which reminds me I have PDS on my DVR and MTV was so shady they didn't even have the common courtesy to show episodes 1-2. Today they just jumped right into episode 3.
Yep I'm from New Orleans! I would LOVE to see them come back here, but I think it's been too soon (and I agree with you - I wasn't a big fan of the 2010 edition, haven't seen the earlier one). And I will have to wholeheartedly disagree with you on the assessment that New Orleans is boring... Lol, I'm from the west bank and let me tell you it is boring as all ****. When I lived uptown though, I had so much fun. How could you suggest Baton Rouge or Shreveport if you think Nola is boring?!
Apparently when BGC was here, their house was in Kenner... THAT must've sucked.
yes I have/had fun down here as well my brother but I was just saying that Louisiana as a whole can be a very boring *** place regardless if its party central or not. I have fun where I'm located at but during the downtime there's absolutely nothing to do but sit in air conditioning/work versus somewhere like Cali or NYC.
I still get confused by West Bank and East Bank and overshore and all that mumble jumble. The good think about it is they/we have hot news anchors especially on WDSU nudge-nudge.
LOL at Kenner being the location for BGC NO. It's the same way with Louis Armstrong's airport. Its actually in Kenner...the beginning of Kenner to be exact. Makes me wonder what other places are like that are in the same boat.
Because Baton Rouge is the capital (I dunno maybe I'm being picky) and Shreveport is always off the chain. #DONTJUDGEME

He's foolish. Like who the **** turns down free publicity or money? Other than some universities and I Know What You Did Last Summer both those states are cheesy anyway.
I like lofts waaaaaaaay better. The houses that was last good to me was the original SD.
The Back to New Orleans house was amazing. I dislike the lofts because of the fake walls and the kitchen never looks right.
What exactly was it? Watches or money in the envelop? And why did he say it would've cost him his job if he was already out for years? I couldn't remember if I seen Flora or not in that said episode. Melissa running up the stairs was awesome. lol. And why the **** would she go through his computer?
I think it was some modeling photos or something like that from his job, they didn't want them ruined. Miami for me has been one of the better seasons because the drama wasn't just drunken bull****, they actually hated each other. Okay, maybe not hated each other, but the fights were real and they truly disliked each other. The calmest people were Mike and Cynthia, and that's saying a lot.

I thought the Portland loft was bad until I saw the Ex-Plosion one, it was horrible. My favorite house from the seasons I have seen is definitely the Back to New Orleans one.

The Back to SD house was pretty sick too.
But back on topic....
I am really curious as to what twist BMP/MTV are going with this season.

Hated Mike, esp. on Seasons 1.
For the last flippin time, Las Vegas was NOT that diverse like say Ex-Plosion nor was it the business.
I didn't really watch Explosion but from what I can tell 9/12 people in the house were white and everyone was from either California, Texas, or New York.
On Vegas 4/8 weren't white and no two people were from the same state aside from Nany and Naomi, which should't even count as Buffalo and the Bronx are like two different worlds.

I do agree with you, but other than Arielle nobody else was native from California. One thing is moving another being born and raised there:
1. Arielle: Vallejo, California.
2. Ashley Mitchell: West Virginia, moved to San Francisco 2 years before filming.
3. Cory Wharton: Grand Rapids, Michigan. Moved to LA a year prior filming.
4. Jamie Larson: Pflugerville, Texas that's 2 hours 37 mins from Thomas.
5. Jay Gotti: Bronx , NY.
6. Jenny Delich: Kansas City Missouri, Moved to LA a year prior filming.
7. Thomas Buell: Fort Worth, texas that's 2 hours 37 mins from Jamie .
Then the exes are obviously from the same part as their significant others.
But technically everyone was from different states, the only one from the OGs that where from the same states were Thomas/Jamie but they eave 2.5 hours apart. But I agree that Vegas 2 was more diverse background wise, appealing to the viewers and interesting Ratings don't lie ;)

They do deceive. If Explosion followed NOLA2, and Vegas 2 followed Portland, things may have been a little different.
I think the Real World would be pretty interesting if they cast a 16th or 17th year old.
They could have them being filmed on school and other stuff a teenager would do.
Because the real world has been nothing drinking and sleeping with eachother..
This could be a good twist if they cast someone underage.

I wouldn't mind if they did a "College Hill" type season.

They can't cast people under 18 because minors can't be filmed for more than I think something like 8 hours per day. 24 hour filming would be illegal.
I wish they'd cast people under 21... purely for selfish reasons because I'm not 21, haha. But for real, I really liked when they would cast 18 year olds and they would be able to "go out and see the world" and stuff. It would be an awesome experience. I think Priscilla didn't work out because she already lived in San Diego. Of course, her life was different because she was living in a house with strangers and being filmed, but it's not like she traveled away from her family and home and everything.
Priscilla ruined any minor's chance of being on the show because she was not only boring but she tried to drink the first night which was illegal. She also couldn't get in the clubs which made her useless to production. I used to want them to cast people under 21 but being that I'm legal now I realize you have a lot more fun and experience a lot being over 21.

I'm pretty sure production has turned a blind eye to underage drinking in the past though... Something about Nehemiah is ringing a bell. Maybe I'm remembering wrong? And didn't Cameran use a fake ID? Isn't that illegal too, albeit a lesser offense?
Svetlana black out and she was only 19.

Doubt it Vegas 2 story lines sells and bring ratings to a reality show. The highest episode the season was when everyone discover Dustin gay Past.

The main issue they had was that she couldn't go to certain clubs with the cast which is what the cast of the current seasons do almost every night.
I don't think jenna was 21 when she was cast for explosion.
She wasn't but she was only a part of the cast because of Jay. Whatever he said in his casting process must have been interesting enough for them to not care.

Well, to your standards and personal preferences. like I say ratings don't lie. Until this day MTV still see it as the last successful season The Real World had. Yes New Orleans pick up ratings after DC, but Vegas not only maintain it. It increased ratings way more. If it wasn't an interesting group it would have gone down like San Diego 2/ST.Thomas/Portland and to some extend explosion that after Lauren pregnancy it went down big time. In my opinion Vegas 2 attracted viewers because all of them brought something to the table and it wasn't the same drama for every single episode.

Right....
Well I don't remember the drama. I've watched many seasons and that one I don't really remember.

Svetlana was drunk the entire Key West season. They are just stricter now.
I know casting isn't done but I never really check this thread. Just wondering if it's been mentioned that this chick Kristen Meyers is saying she was casted for the Real World...
take a look at the link ...

I believe shes a model, sounds kind of dumb. She's probably just full of it. This was in April by the way
I heard filming can start next week , it's just a rumor for now. So it can be completely false.
