I always wonder about editing choices and how they decide who to give the "hero" and "villain" edits to. One would think that they would want Laurel, who is on her second challenge at that point and is one of the best to do it, to be happy and to want to keep coming back, versus someone like Eric who allegedly is a real ****** in the house and has only made it past half way one time. What do they really gain from appeasing him? They've obviously learned to a certain extent...they've given Bananas and CT good guy edits for the last few seasons realizing that they drive the show. They probably could've torn CT apart last season if they felt like it with the footage he gave them.
If you think about it, and I'm NOT condoning what she said, it was a real **** move by BMP to give Laurel that "skinny pretty girl bullies the fat kid for no reason" edit...that time was the height of that "It Gets Better" anti bullying thing. Then they let Maria Menounos lay into her during the reunion without being aware of the whole situation. Kinda threw her under the bus.
Skinny pretty girl wasnt really the way i would decribe Laurel in that season. She has cleaned up though these days. I wouldnt be suprised if she was bullied herself in the past because she is so strong and athletic and not a particular girly girl type of person. Girls can be pretty evil in high school. So that's why im so horrified by the personal attacks that she makes about other peoples insecurities. Making hurtfull comments about someones weight, small *****, red hair, being anorexic etc. That is just low to me. It doesnt matter if she was provoked or not. She has showed on multiple occassions that she goes way to far when arguing with someone..
Guess they just skipped out on an audience this season.
What you mean? The guy that does those bus drive route podcast is an audience member he wrote it on twitter.

I would imagine that she has been picked on in the past. Tall, bigger women with a lot of height and a bigger frame don't always do so well in society from my observations. A lot of men and women are intimidated by that type of thing since it's not really seen as feminine.

And that's a completely fair point. My point was just that it wasn't just some chick unleashing on the fat guy solely because he's fat and she's a *****. Doesn't make it okay...it just wasn't something that happened out of left field.
Guess they just skipped out on an audience this season.
Because it isn't live this year, if they had an audience everyone there would find out who won 4 weeks before everyone else. Anyone in the "audience" this time round will be affiliated with the show and have a confidentiality clause thing.

But don't they normally have an audience regardless?

This doesn't make any sense. They always have an audience at the reunion, and it's almost always prerecorded. They just have to sign a confidentiality clause.

Oh fair enough. I assumed they were all live or had no audience.

They always have an audience lol they just have to sign a contract that they are not going to talk about it until it airs. There is an audience there today, a guy that does podcasts is there and someone else wrote on twitter that she is there too.
I give much kudos to Aneesa; she has and will always be a great competitor in my book!
Same here. Anessa is still a beast - and yes she lost but if there is such a thing, a very respectable lost. Same for Laurel had she lost. Good matchup that favored speed and length.
With that, Laurel deserved props for the victory - but clearly she won because of her length. Anessa was just as fast and alot stronger as she pounded Laurel twice ---- however, Laurel was tough enough to take it and long enough to get to the bell first.

They must've just started that, I didn't have to sign jack lol

It looks like he was invited, because normally at the reunion they tell the audience not to touch the cast or even interact with them. They take away your phone during the process as well, and he appears to be snapping pictures.
They normally use Onset Productions for audience members, and it's a pretty hot ticket. But there's nothing in Onset's calendar about a Reunion.
I wonder what everyone's beef with Aneesa is. She said in her elimination round with Jonna that most of the people were cheering against her and we saw again this episode that they were all willing to vote her in.
I actually laughed when Aneesa said "what's the wrath of Laurel, wha' she gonna do?"
It just goes to show you that Nany, Jessica, Devyn, Cara Maria all seem to be Laurel's little worker bees at this point. I can see why it's the smart thing to do, but it's really lame to watch. I really wanted Nany in the elimination round with Aneesa since that is who she is constantly voting for. For some reason, I would think Nany and Aneesa would be two people that would seemingly get along. I wonder what their issue is or if they just didn't click or what.
I also found it hilarious when Nany said that she was worried about making Cohutta look stupid when the entire time I was thinking that she was looking more stupid and worse than anybody else for putting herself out like that. And this is coming from someone that likes Nany.
Aneesa deserves credit for what she did. All the other girls there, Nany/Devyn/Jessica/etc. would go flying if they were even brave enough to attempt running into Laurel like that(and we all know most of these girls would not have the guts to). I just wish Aneesa would have gotten lower, but then again if Aneesa had gotten lower, we would not have seen her put up a fight like that at level range. Even Laurel was surprised with the kind of defense that she put up.
I used to think Aneesa was a lot bigger but seeing the two stand next to each other, it looks as if Laurel has way more overall mass, not just in height, but even her legs, shoulders, everything just seems a lot more significant. Is it the angle or is it really what I'm seeing?

Maybe it's the pic but Laurel looks enormous next to Aneesa, and arguably bigger than both of the guys (a little shorter than Preston, but overall bigger).
Didn't realize how small Cohutta was.
I think Cohutta might look a tad smaller because he is standing furthest away from the camera and you can kind of see that in his feet and how they are lined up a little behind Preston's. Aneesa and Laurel look as if they are standing more or less, right next to each other though, but they still look like they are a little bit closer to the camera compared to the guys, especially Cohutta.
Aneesa is 5"7, Laurel is 5"10-5"11ish and I believe Cohutta is like 5"6 or 5"7. Not too sure about Preston's height.

Cohutta's probably 5'6"
Aneesa's not as big as she used to be--Laurel's thick but that's mostly muscle.
Speaking of Cara, I'm rewatching the episode and this surprised me...

I swear he secretly likes her hahaha that's why he's so mean to her!
This is exactly what I was thinking! I also noticed this little scene of Bananas drinking with Cara. I think he does kind of like like her. He's like a boy in kindergarten who pulls a girl's hair when he likes her.

Or they just did so many challenges together that they have nothing left to argue about.

Or they may play up their rivalry for the camera

I feel like Johnny said he thought Cara was the most attractive girl on the show. It was during an interview or something a couple years ago. I could be completely wrong though.
Or they may play up their rivalry for the camera
This is exactly what I think is going on between Bananas and Cara Maria. C'mon... they're practically friendly to each other when they're not on camera.
Wait what are they still together?
I believe Cara Maria moved to Montana couple of months ago, o I assume they are living together.
