I will agree that the editing on the hour-long episodes is usually shoddy, especially this season. It's something I've been trying to pay attention to, and there are so many inconsistencies, mistakes, confusion, and vagueness. It's like they just don't care anymore.
Well if you ask me it's a good thing that Production didn't show what Diem was going through. It led her to retire and that is one less non-castmember on these shows. Now if the can find a way to get rid of the rest of them that keep coming on these shows then THAT would be great.
You are so flipping tactless.

I still maintain they showed the Diem that always existed on these shows. Diem's a fighter and deserves credit for that but (like Susie) she always got a "good edit".
In terms of editing, and don't get me wrong I agree that editing can be a powerful weapon in making a complete character out of nothing, but Frank in BOTS made himself a villain. All the bashing of Sam, the very first night when he got stupid drunk and started on just about everyone, the backing out of the elimination etc etc...
For laughs & hookups, and the cast loves him. I don't think really cares about the competition anymore. I posted previously that he hasn't cared in some time now, and I think it's becoming easier to tell.
How does one not care when they haven't done anything noteworthy whatsoever in 4 seasons?
I think Leroy plays the game perfectly. He is there to make it to the end and isnt about the childish drama. I've noticed this season CT is doing the same thing for the most part. Its been an interesting season thus far. I was definitely happy to see Jordan go. I couldn't stand him since he first opened his mouth back in Portland.
Leroy plays the game like an idiot. He flies under the radar until he gets into an elimination round and then he loses or wins by a technicality. He is a terrible competitor, he has done one memorable thing in 4 seasons, he doesn't want to work hard for a win, he wants everything handed to him, and throughout everyone loving him and not stirring up drama the guy still hasn't got back to a final.
Reunion is filming next week
Um, question to MTV why are you heifers not showing this more sporadically? They did up until the trivia episode but it's not on the schedule until 8 CST wednesday followed by the all new episode. Whats up with that? But yet Rivals 2 is shown all the time on other MTV stations. #******.
You are so flipping tactless.
How so?
I think the reason why I liked Rivals 2 so much was because of the Wes+CT vs Bananas. Bananas and his buddies have screwed over both Wes and CT on other challenges and now it was CT and Wes who had the power.
They didn't have power over Johnny though...the same teams were voting for both of them. I thought it was nice because neither had political power over the other and it was just a game of ability and CT and Wes took that round. It's not like they had Johnny and Frank on the ropes the whole game. They just beat them in a race and you have to tip your cap to the victors. JEK has definitely screwed Wes over in the past (deservedly so) but I wouldn't say they have a history of doing it to CT other than on Rivals and Wes was probably the most vocal on that. That's why I was always so confused about why CT spouted off about how Johnny has screwed him over so many times when the only time was on Rivals 1. They worked together on Exes and CT was the one that screwed Johnny over on Duel 1 and Gauntlet 3.
Reunion is filming next week
Any idea who will be there?
Leroy truly is a horrible, horrible competitor. His big arms are deceiving people.
Any idea who will be there?
No Idea. If I have to guess everyone still in the game and Jordan...No idea about Jonna.
Any idea who will be there?
My guess would be: Guys- Johnny Bananas, Zach, Johnny, Jordan, Leroy, CT, Cohutta Girls- Laurel, Nany, Theresa, Cara Maria, Devyn, Aneesa
How so?
Did you read DA's post? I don't think I need to explain myself.
Cara Maria posted on her facebook page a couple days ago she will be there at the Reunion which is taking place in NY.
Any idea who will be there?
I never understood the Heather Cooke as underdog thing. Here you have a professional soccer player who gets a tough competitor as a partner(Cara Maria)after her original one had to leave. And she's surprised that she's thrown in more often than not? That substitution made her team a much more formidable opponent.
While she was definitely given a favourable edit, I think the "underdog" angle only really started to get played up was when we reached Top 4 girls teams and Cooke and Cara were the only girls not in the vet girls alliance. So when they won the final girls challenge it was an "underdog victory" and forced the other 3 girls teams turn against each other to either avoid elimination or get the more favorable opponents for the last jungle. The other times they were voted in was just the standard "vote in the rookie (Cooke) ****e.

It just looks as though he has the situation figured out. If he doesn't have to go out of his way to advance, then why not keep doing what hes doing? Not everyone will make it to the final every time. His time will eventually come where he gets a win. It's part skill and partly circumstance in these challenges.
I think both views of Leroy are partly true. I don't know if he always has his head in the game... but I like him as the person he portrays on TV, so I tend to see his gameplay (or lack thereof) as strategy rather than... well... just a lack of gameplay. But I've already said I'm biased. Go ROYLEE!

With that being said, if he can get to the end/close to the end without winning or stepping on anyone's toes, why not? He knows there are bigger threats (ie Zach, bananas...) and he may not want to put himself higher on the hitlist. He's kind of like Nany; well liked & able to get through the game on their social skills.
The guy is as average as they come, he's not well rounded enough to win a challenge.
What's funny to me is I've been saying this for a while now. And people continue to blame his partners but if you look at each mission he has competed in, he's always been average. Fans kept saying he'll shine in an individual set up but I haven't seen it. And we're 7 missions deep.
I've been there right with you, I always thought he was average.
I agree with you guys. Love him as a person, but he's an average competitor. Not the worst, butdefinitley not the best.
I don't think anyone can disagree with that...
Oh man. Got home late on Thursday and missed Thursday night's episode and the show after the aftershow was the previous episode (what?!). Watched online on Friday. What an episode. What Jordan did was straight up stupid and not a game move, but I have to admire his confidence and his competitive drive. It's been a very long time since we've seen someone embracing the competition for what it is. The personalities don't match, but it has a very strong resemblance to Derrick throughout G2 and the shield mission on Cutthroat imo. If he tones down his personality a little, his competitive spirit straight up will make him one of my favorites. His card flipping scene was awesome, but it is a shame they were talking about it so much before the draw. If he did that without anyone mentioning that, it would have been ******. Even after seeing the wall (arguably the toughest elimination for Jordan), he went with it. The rolling mission was pretty weird, it looks like it incorporates a really weird skill set to do well. Laurel and Cara have been dominate for the girls. This is really the first time the girls got to prove their physical worth by themselves (both were the only ones to pass the rope mission). Jessica surprisingly did very well (although I would assume miles behind Laurel and Cara). I thought it was very odd that Aneesa and Theresa would finish in the top 5 when they knew that Laurel won. From previous episodes, it's obvious that Aneesa and Theresa are the #1 and #2 targets for Laurel. If the girls really want to knock Laurel off, the remaining girls not named Cara really need to band together and keep voting her in and hoping that someone can take Laurel out. It really seems that instead of that, they are just going to try to throw each other the bus, and hope they can squeak by to the final. Devyn showed this last episode when she threw in Theresa over Laurel. Devyn really should have called her bluff, because that would just throw her in the group with Aneesa and Theresa, but that would invovle risking her place with Laurel. Scared, but logical move for Devyn as an individual. Laurel plays a sloppy political game, but it doesn't really matter when you're heads and heads above the competition. For the guys, impressive win by Johnny. Big win for the rookie, when you think about the other big names. Pretty obvious where the alliances stand now. CT Zach Johnny Jordan Preston (?) vs Bananas Leroy Cahutta (I am assuming he is siding with them). The Bananas side don't have the numbers for a vote in a team mission and I have a hard time seeing them coming out of an individual mission with a w. Leroy playing his own game and throwing the mission so he goes into the Draw is commended by me. Pretty much if Bananas ends up in the Draw, Leroy is most likely going to be voted in if he does not win or is not in the draw himself. CT looked very sluggish throughout the mission, but maybe it was just the 50 slowmotion shots they had of CT struggling lol. I liked his slug move in the middle of the grill bars hahahaha. Johnny killed Jordan in the elimination. When Jordan fell off the wall, Johnny was hitting the bell. I kind of wish MTV would upload the unedited elimination rounds to feel how close the eliminations really were. Also would get a better view of what the vibe was like from a spectator standpoint. Maybe not the Cara/Nia elimination lol. I wonder why Bananas was getting mad at Laurel for voting him in. At this point, for all individual and pair missions, there has not been any disagreement with the guy picking who he wants the girl picking who she wants. Apparently Zach was adamant about not voting for Theresa when Devyn voted for her, but it didn't even make the show, so I'm assuming that the guy can pick and the girl can pick and even if there is a disagreement, MTV is just sweeping it under the rug. I really hope Aneesa and Devyn don't make the final. One way or another they're getting by each week through being bad, or winning eliminations, not being picked, or not picking the kill card, but it would be a **** shame if they made the final and they can't even be competitive. I am not including Preston and Jessica yet because they haven't proved that they can't do it, but the same sentiment applies to them.
Did I miss something? Did Bananas and Laurel have an alliance? I can't understand why he was so upset with her at the end of the episode.
