How about Frank on Seasons? I don't think CT was a villain on Rivals, to me he and Adam got the hero edit along with CM/Laurel and Jonna/Jasmine. JEK were the villains trying to get him out of the house every chance they got. CT had some villainous moments (argument with Wes), but his overall edit was a positive one.
Also on Cutthroat and Ruins. Red team were the obvious villains of the season, and on the Ruins, I remember people were absolutely disheartened and furious that JEKD and Susie were the winners because of how many people they stepped on to get to the end.
My rankings Rivals Seasons Rivals2 Exes Free Agents Cutthroat Fresh Meat 2
as a JEK fan its interesting to me that you ranked Fresh Meat 2 last when it was clearly the Kenny and Wes show!
as a JEK fan its interesting to me that you ranked Fresh Meat 2 last when it was clearly the Kenny and Wes show!
Im surpised people rank free agents so highly. I'm not crazy about this season at all.
I really like this season so far, but I'm almost 100% sure it includes the long awaited (for me) return of Laurel. Otherwise, I think I would be pretty lukewarm about this season as a whole.
While many of the rivalries were a stretch, especially Paula and Emily, I think overall it was better than rivals 1. Rivals 1 was really nothing but JEK vs CT.
Rivals 2 was basically centered around Cara/Cooke as underdogs. It had sloppy editing, see how Diem just randomly hates Cooke, etc. Rivals 1 had CT's comeback, Laurel/CM drama, CM vs the new mean girls, Jasmine^)/Jonna and Leroy/Mike being great rookie teams. All my opinion of course.
I don't hate Free Agents by the way, it had a surprisingly great cast -- especially on the guys side. The girls side didn't bring a lot of competition to the table, especially to Laurel. We're seeing Cara Maria really emerge as the top competitor we all know she is, Theresa's shady moves have drew her some attention, and both Nany/Devyn are somewhat dynamic characters on-and-off the field, but it's essentially a race for second unless Laurel gets hit by a meteor or trips up a flight of stairs. The guys side may be as disappointing too, just because of how much great competition there was. Dustin, Frank and Jordan are all competitors who I believe went home too early, especially since we're at the half-point. All three of those guys had potential to make it to the end, but because of the draw, unforeseen circumstances, and overall stupidity -- they were kicked out within the first seven episodes. They normally say you need a little bit of luck to win, but this game weighs so heavily on luck that it kind of distracts from actual competition. I think in a normal challenge, Preston, Johnny, and Leroy would've already been sent in. The reason I ranked Rivals & Exes the highest were because they had great stories, from top to finish. They managed to use all their footage to create a on-going story that kept me hooked along with the competition. Free Agents is lacking that, especially since the game is so chancy that rivalries can end in an instant. I think that in this second half, the main focus will be on Laurel as the ruthless competitor and Bananas fighting to stick in the game being the odd-man out.
as a JEK fan its interesting to me that you ranked Fresh Meat 2 last when it was clearly the Kenny and Wes show!
I just didn't really like the cast that much and the exiles were boring. I loved seeing Kenny take down Wes/Evelyn's alliance though :)
Diem hated her because ct was giving her attention and Diem felt that Nany/Cooke were the type of girls who slept around and she said she doesn't think women should act like that. She disliked both girls for that reason but i am using less harsh language than diem did haha. Ct's mindset during it imo, was that on exes he realized their was a spark still but Diem said she never woudl get back with him He probably was pretty sure she had a spark for him too and he tried everything else, so he figured the only way to truly show her that she still cared for him and she was basically masking it or putting up a front was to make her jealous. It worked, because boy did she get jealous. People can say it was due to her hormone shots/etc, but i mean look at where they are in real life, so he obviously successfully triggered the old feelings back and do i agree with how he did it, no, but it worked and they seem to truly love each other so good for them. This season has a stacked guy cast and so far they have not battled each other in anything athletically that would show anyoneo being superior which is very disappointing. I wish this cast could do all the duel 1 missions basiclaly like the frog jump thing, the race in the sand, etc. those all were good for this stacked guy cast..Leroy/Zach/CT/Johnny R/Bananas/jordan are all very athletic, yet they barely have been able to show it with this format... The girl cast, i mean it's laurel, than cara a mile away, than the rest...So getting third in these missions is not even that impressive, but none of these missions have been impressive anyway so far like it was a 100 yr log roll in the sand this mission based on what johnny said on afterbuzz..
What's the frog jump? I really wish they would do pinata pit or better yet riot act, that would be sweet to watch
What's the frog jump? I really wish they would do pinata pit or better yet riot act, that would be sweet to watch
I assume the frog jump is when they had to jump back and forth between two platforms suspended in the air, take a flag off of one platform, jump back to the other, and repeat over and over for a couple minutes
Enlighten me rhen, what better storylines were there? We still didn't see anything negative from Cooke whatsoever like Diem made her out to be.
Thats because they gave Diem the ****tiest tv edit in tv history which was stupid considering the fact that she probably would have done at least one more challenge compared to Cooke who got this underdog edit with Cara Maria which is nothing new because Cara Maris gets an underdog edit every season which is annoying IMO. Now they lost a fan favorite who brings ratings Diem to Cooke who is never coming back! The Leroy/Wes/Diem/Theresa storyline Camila/Diem/Paula/Emily storyline when they had to turn on each other. Diem and how bad they made her. Diem/Cooke not liking each other which was made even more evident in that Frenemies mission when Cooke called her fake. CT/Anastasia that led to Ana's massive breakdown. Trishelle's breakdown. They started in episode 2 when they got votes and Sarah asked Trishelle if her heart was in and then she quit next episode. Zach/Bananas/Frank and Zach's meltdown. As always the Wes/CT/Bananas Preston/Knight and how Knight blamed Preston for everything and he pretty much lost it in the end. Paula/Emily's hate for Cara Maria. All the alliances were a story in itself. And of course the CT/Diem madness and everyones opinions on that. Jordan/Marlon's team rookie storyline. Some Rivals teams had storylines of course which is why gimmick themes and partners is working. That brief thing about Marlon's sexuality. The missions were attentive as well and not boring. The cast was a good mix of old and new. Also, CT and his getting girls votes. To me Free Agents storylines are dragging to long. Rivals II had storylines each episode so they made the show interesting each episode to me at least and they were long lasting just a couple episodes or at least one not like 4 lol. I'm bored with this season. My favorite challenge.
I assume the frog jump is when they had to jump back and forth between two platforms suspended in the air, take a flag off of one platform, jump back to the other, and repeat over and over for a couple minutes
Oh duh lol I forgot about the flying leap
Cooke didn't throw tantrum after being vote in... Heather back to Vegas also wrote that Cooke slept with her own father best friend that was married and had kids...so it wouldn't surprised me if she did. What kind of rumors she spread? I don't know why Derek didn't like Alton, but I know why CJ didn't. I used the word Fact because I know and have talk to Jordan/his brother, I was the one that wrote on here on the spoilers thread when he got eliminated back when they were filming. It's fine.
Yeah from interviews people have said that it wasn't just a feud between Bananas/Jordan. It was a feud basically between Jordan and the whole house. A lot of people couldn't stand him this season they just didn't show it.
The things they're choosing not to show this season are confusing to me. Like wouldn't it be more compelling to see more of the whole house not getting along with Jordan? And if they could have had Bananas explaining that him and Laurel are kind of friends outside of challenges and he expected her not to vote him in, his anger later in the episode would have made a lot more sense. Like if I was just watching this show I would have no idea who was working with who so far besides Laurel and Cara & kind of Bananas and Leroy. The house dynamics are kind of hard to get a grip on since they're showing so little of the house.

I think they didn't show Jordan vs everyone else because they wanted to build up the Bananas/Jordan feud but I wish they showed who else exactly didn't like Jordan.
I didn't think they were friends either really, but Bananas said on Afterbuzz that though they weren't BFFS or anything, they are friend-ish outside the show.
I think Johnny's mentality during the deliberation can best be summed up as: "What?? You're a female and you're NOT kissing my ***? What is this blasphemy?!?!"
I don't think they were best friends like he said on afterbuzz but they've known each other for awhile and have hung out outside the show considering Kenny/Laurel had a thing so he knows her better than a lot of the other girls there.

Her actions against Cooke were embarassing on her part and everyone said it but they did focus on what you forgot to add on your list was Diem overcoming her fear. She didn't want to rely on CT to let her hair out and she didn't. Plus I don't think it was all madness, some of it was cute. The first episode, and they would play scenes from Duel 1 about their first kiss and her letting her hair out. Not all were bad, people choose to ignore the good because it's been overplayed season after seasons (Duel 2 and Exes) so seeing Diem on that true color episode was something different and ofc drama which will entertain people.

It's terrible she got death threats over something so petty. But like I said, I think they did show her some good edits with her taking off her wig without CT but beside that they did her dirty from what I read.
It is sad that viewers can hate someone enough to send them death threats when they don't even know them and it is an editted reality show. Great article, and I wish Diem the best :)
This is why the challenge is going downhill the production team does some of the cast members so dirty like diem that fan favourites like her or people good for tv like frank playing the villain end up refusing to do another challenge. Eventually all they will have leg is people who are so unlikable left that even diehard fans will stop tuning in. They knew what diem was going through with just finishing her chemo and having to take steroids and yet they make her villain and don't even explaining her situation which probably made her feel very betrayed. It sucks if all we get left with is people like jasmine and Preston who you can't root for because all the fan favourites retire due to bad editing and bad conditions.
Well if you ask me it's a good thing that Production didn't show what Diem was going through. It led her to retire and that is one less non-castmember on these shows. Now if the can find a way to get rid of the rest of them that keep coming on these shows then THAT would be great.

Terrible. The "**** they should have shown" ends up being more entertaining. Past challenges were far more exciting.
My sole opinion, is that the production team does a TERRIBLE job of editing hour long episodes. Terrible. The "**** they should have shown" ends up being more entertaining. I think the reason why I liked Rivals 2 so much was because of the Wes+CT vs Bananas. Bananas and his buddies have screwed over both Wes and CT on other challenges and now it was CT and Wes who had the power.

Even on the aftershows this season I'm like "Why didn't they show that". The show has potential to be saved but production needs to do a better job.
And the thing is the challenges used to be 30 minutes long. They did a lot more in that time than they do now in a hour and that's sad.
For once I agree with you :)

Plus he gave himself that title. Threw Jonna in and the Dustin fight. Not all leave because of poor conditions some just don't get the call or like Paula they moved on. People are still willing to do it such as Brad, Mark, and Darrell ect.
