The Real World 30 - Casting

These castings aren't working as they'll just cats models anyway.

I need to be 21 so I can try out. Hopefully the real world is still aring by then.

Ive heard of people already getting emails to make tapes. I just hope that this casting process hits Florida and at least 10 other areas.

Hey guys...Is a VIP pass common? i remember some people saying that they dont even matter and you cant skip the line?

I would love for someone to reply to this but how do the VIP work? My buddy filled an app out onine and everyone says that they always get a pass, but he still hasn't got one and its been a month. Would they usually email you back the week of where the city closest to you is or what?

Sometimes if they like you after reading your bio they send a "VIP" pass but im hearing the passes dont really signify anything.

I've auditioned in the past. A few times actually. Two of those times I made it far in the process. This time, for a long time, I haven't sent in any information. Now I've received an email with a long application, one you fill out after the first round of casting in the groups of 10 at each casting call... I find it funny, that the times I thought I really wanted it, it didn't work out. Now, I'm not even trying and they send me this email. I don't think it was by mistake as I'm sure they enjoyed me, but watching past seasons makes sense why I didn't get casted. For example, Explosion was the opposite of my relationship status. What do you all think about it? I'm trying to decide on investing my time filling this out again. lol

I tried out for DC and San Diego and made it to the 3rd round both times. Didn't apply for season 28 and got the same email for the long application. Made it to semi-finals. Do it. You never know. They already have a twist in mind, so if they're sending you an email to try out again, it's probably because you fit what that twist. Good luck man!

Casting and BMP don't like people associated with Vevmo and it could really hurt your chances.

Just got the follow up email as well and filled it out for the **** of it (took me forever btw).Hope it wasn't too big a waste of time.

I went to a casting call over the weekend and I thought I'd share a little info from what was said by my Casting Director. Next season will not involve the Exes again. They basically said there was no possible way of doing it without people in the casting process catching on. The Casting Director also mentioned the show would be going back to it's old roots but I honestly feel they was trying to throw us off from whatever twist is being planned.

Its basically a follow up email they sent to me after I went on MTV and filled out my bio information and a picture. It consisted of 50 questions just about your personal life, friends, your fears, past conflicts you may have been in, etc. Along with 4 to 5 current pictures of yourself. Apparently its not uncommon to get this email though and many people do. I'll know in 4-6 weeks if anything happens.

[/QUOTE] I seriously doubt after the resurgence of Real World's "popularity" anybody seriously thought they were going to do another season in the same vein as Ex-Plosion. That's way to easy and obvious. As for the casting call good luck and hopefully it works out for you guys auditioning. You'll get partying and drama from me but at the casting call and I wanted to show them what defines me and they clearly wasn't interested. Our casting director was more interested in the people who were going on the show while in relationships which is basically the equivalent of obvious drama similar to what you've seen the last few seasons.

Someone I know made it through to the next round of casting, which obviously he is still a far shot away, but it would be really cool if he actually made it on the show.

Did anyone go to the casting call in DC?

So my buddy went to the casting call said he got picked to fill out another 50 questionnaire and told me that they said they would call him if they want him to come back again for an on camera interview. They did not do so he said unfortunately. Does this mean that he is for sure out or could he still possibly get an email for a Skype interview or something?

I went to the casting call in Houston, TX. It was pretty fun I got there pretty early while the line was short as ****. You fill out the little short application and then they pick 7 random people and they talk to you all. They did not give me a call back so I guess I did bad.
