I keep imagining this: Random Girl: Well my mum got cancer and I was picked on my whole entire life, my father is dead and my family is poor and I have anger issues so I want to work on them. Producer: Do you have an ex ? Random Girl: No Producer: sorry you do not make the cut :)
This is exactly how I remember the first round of casting

Okay so I just skimmed about 2 minutes of this show. Is it wrong that I kind of wish Nia was on this season to call a hit on this Ashley *****?
So far between Cory and Brian, I see Cory pushing Brian down in the closet. Then, it looks like Cory is about to start punching Brian in the face in the van... And another one from the very beginning of the premier looks like Cory shoved someone really hard but, I can't tell if its Brian,Jay,Thomas or a local.
Okay so I just skimmed about 2 minutes of this show. Is it wrong that I kind of wish Nia was on this season to call a hit on this Ashley *****?
Please, Nia would be partying it up with Ashley. Not watching her from the sidelines and making comments on her every move.
The ratings come out around noon time eastern right?
Wait a second, I know they're putting emphasis on the fact that this is Real World EX-Plosion but other than their relationship status these kids had no story to tell in this first episode. Like I know NOTHING about these folks except Ashley is a disaster.
I know I feel like this season isn't about what the real world is about. I like the drama to be interesting and about big issues not just relationship drama. All this season is going to focus on is relationship drama. Also do you really think they actually left the day they found out they got on...
It definitely seems odd in a lot of places but I am not going to jump on the "Its fake!" bandwagon just yet. I need to see more before I make any rash judgments. I actually did enjoy the premire when I think about it although not in the normal "these people are interesting" Real World way. We will see where it goes from here. I feel like the editing skips around a lot more than it has in the past.
I don't have a problem with the cast, actually I have a problem with editing. I bet the cast had more deep conversation other than their exes, but since that's the theme for this season they are going to feed that through our throats every episode. I am annoyed by the labels every second, "The house" :night out" lol It's annotying. Anyways MTV told the cast this today before the taping of the after show, I didn't saw anything trending but here:
My thoughts from watching it last night are.. 1. I actually think the casting is pretty good, I think overall they have 7 very different people. It could've been cool to have a non-model girl just to keep things interesting but all of the girls have very different personalities and look different too so it somehow works out fine. 2. I think it's a little rushed and the way they have the "next day" and "that night" thing is kinda stupid but whatever it's not a game changer. 3. My favorites so far are probably Jamie and Jenny so far. 4. I kinda am excited for the ex's to come just because there's obviously going to be more drama but I'm actually glad it won't be for a couple more episodes because honestly I wanna see how this cast interacts with each other first. OVERALL, I'm not crazyy about it, but I do like the cast and I do think it has potential to be good so I'm excited to keep watching..
are they taping the after show today?
Yes, They are taping aftershows for TV. The exes come episode 4-5.
I just can't get over some lines from the show like Jay talking about that he never saw a black female with an afro in the BRONX... and Jamie mind you're business like you knew Ashley for 2 hours and why do you care if she hooks up with Cory, and Cory took the comment "my family will buy you're family blah blah" to another level like chill she is drunk and even if she wasn't ignore it it's not even THAT offensive, and how could Jenny and Cory have sex so fast like what? did he have a condom...seriously. The only people I'm getting mature vibes from is Arielle.
That was so terrible...I'm not sure that I'm gonna be able to make it through the whole season...
Exes come in 3 weeks so episode 4
I know the exes moving in is supposed to be the big thing to look forward to this season but I'm what I'm really interested in is
Jay's phone call. Jay's mom talking about how much she'll miss him... my heart kinda sank. For a season that seems unreal so far, that's gonna be a really serious moment. Probably one of the more serious moments of the entire series.
i bet the last scene in episode 4 is going to be when the ex's come but it will be the episode 4 cliffhanger.. we probably won't be able to see how everyone interacts and everything until episode 5.. also, did anyone hear about how many viewers watched it last night? I'm hoping around 2million but that might be pushing it a little.. usually the challenge and the real world get around 1 million but maybe with this new twist and the good promoting it went up a lot...
Does anyone have the ratings yet?
Does anyone have the ratings yet?

REAL WORLD EX-PLOSION MTV 10:00 PM 0.5 686

At this point.... there's literally nothing that can be done to save the show. It's kind of sad because they seem to be trying but nothing is working.
This is a very different cast and vibe from Portland. I feel like the Portland cast were more serious and bland. This cast seems more wild and crazy, which I like more.

That's not bad compared to Portland who we didn't even have a rating for its premiere. It almost made a million. It will be interesting to see what happens next week, with duck dynasty affecting it
It comes on at a 11 next week.
A little higher than what Portland left us with rating wise, I was expecting at least a 1.2. Anyways! I am the only one that think MTV is stupid? If they are so scared of Duck Dynasty, why not change The Real world Day instead of moving it to 11 next week... Plus, it's an incresement from the Texas show.
What do ya'll mean it's higher than portland? Portland premiered with .72 which isn't much greater but this is like an all time low...
Who does everyone think is pregnant or has the pregnancy scare?
Who does everyone think is pregnant or has the pregnancy scare?
I think it will be no one just a misunderstanding or maybe a shocker and someone is pregnant.
