still should be interesting to see how this final turns out and what new things get put into play
Yeah I think this challenge is going to be interesting in how it plays out.
MJ was severely overrated because he was a college athlete and he was like 6 feet tall. On paper it seems like he'd crush people when in reality he loses to Frank who is much smaller then him.
I feel like Nia could be the next MJ, she is 6 feet tall and a college athlete so I think she was sent home without getting into a fight.
MJ is 6'3 or 6'4.
Frank is about 6'2.
CT is 6 ft. and frank was an easy 2 inches taller than him when they were arguing on Gauntlet 3.
Hmm, is anyone thinking Nia could have been kicked out for breaking the drugs rule. According to Johnny R, she smoked weed in Portland, and got away with it, because she was the only one bringing a solid storyline. In the challenge where there are so many other entertaining people they might have cracked down.

Her bags (all their bags) would be searched before they entered the house especially if they know she has done drugs on location before , and I doubt Nia knows where to get weed in Uragauy lol.

Didn't Frank mention in his infamous Grantland interview that castmembers get their fix while on a Challenge, anyway?

I'm not sure if it was weed, but I do remember her saying that she did get away with a lot of things because she was the 'star' of the show.
I doubt it. Jasmine is all talk, and has probably never been in a fight in her life. Remember how many times she said she'd fight Jonna on the Cancun season, and she didn't so much as raise her voice at Jonna once. Doubt she'd fight Nia, who's hasn't so much as said a word against her, and I doubt Nia, would throw away money/TV time to fight someone she barely knows.
Jasmine is all talk? The girl punched a mirror, punched Tyrie, and almost fought Theresa.

An inanimate object, a person who wouldn't punch back, and almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

That's one of the reasons that I find it difficult to believe that anyone finds her entertaining. Unless she shows me a different attitude than on her season or the reunion, I found her condescending and egotistical. Like Frank, she will have to show me a different side to her personality. Frank hasn't done anything to change my opinion about him yet.
I'm really interested to see how Zach does this season. Obviously in terms of just brute strength he has to be the best guy there but if you look at his track record in terms of daily challenges that he's won it's not so hot:
BOTS
Oil Change: Thrown to get win...got wrestled to a stalemate by Dustin
Trivia Game: Didn't participate
Raft Race: Had two of the 4 physically strongest guys there and the other good team (Vegas) was penalized
Tire Tube Thing: Strength battle where he had a partner and 3/4 teams were only one person
Rivals II
Catch and Release: Had to catch the smallest guy there
XXX Games: Had to carry the smallest guy there
He's also hasn't performed very well in agility/swimming challenges (The ATV one, Frog Smash). On paper he's a beast but it just seems like he's one of those guys who is gonna be mediocre in the day challenges that aren't strength based, but no one will call him out because he's enormous and the eliminations tend to be strength related.

She's definitely polarizing, but I don't believe she's truly as evil as her character on RW was. Why would someone like Jordan forgive her/be friends with her if she was exactly how she was in Portland? I find her entertaining and hilarious ("real *** ***** with toothpaste on her face" and the whole Kegel ball incident). She was also the person that got the season out of the gate. Jordan vs. everyone would have gotten stale real fast.

Too bad the season sucked even though Nia was supposed to "save the show" lol. I hope SF2 brings in decent ratings just to kick the Portland cast in the balls (particularly Nia).

I actually thought that it was good. The main issue was how non-existent people like Marlon and Jessica were, but that's neither here nor there. I think it could do well, but nothing to do with the cast, but the format.

I find her hilarious, too. I've never been so entertained by one person on a reality tv show. If that isn't the real her, then she's a creative genius for creating this character. Since she posed herself as a villian from the jump, it was hard for me to dislike her. I've felt the same way about most of the "villains" on this show, Trey, Nia, Ty, Adam Royer, Knight, Ayiiia etc.

Adam Royer wasn't a villan on the show though? IRL Drug Kingpin of Maine...lol? On RW the drunk dude who swong at walls and made a mess

Yeah, one person can't carry a season I wish Nia and Jordan were placed on another season like Las Vegas 2 and replaced Naomi and Mike/Leroy. That would have been a perfect season in that case. Portland had too many flops. I mean Johnny, Marlon, Averey, Jessica, Anastasia, are all boring. There should only be one or two people like that per season. It's hard to believe they didn't even cast Nia at first. Whoever did casting on the season needs to be fired. I think if Joi, hadn't left, and Nia didn't come on the show, the season wouldn't have gone to air at all based on sheer lack of footage. Even Johnny and Averey admitted that the show only got interesting once Nia joined the cast. I hope casting does better this season.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree. I can't judge St Thomas because I haven't seen that season. IMO, there hasn't been an interesting season since Las Vegas 2. Because Nia set out to cause upheaval and drama in the house, most of it seemed contrived.

Vegas 2 would of only lasted 2 weeks with them though. Can see it play out pretty simple, Jordan would get Nany ******* Adam off into his drunken rage of bottle breaking and a tasteless hand joke, they fight. Nia would step to Adam like Leroy did except crack him in the head with a brick or something same would go for Nany (or they'd be best friends). Dustin/Heather would be the same lol.

I think Las Vegas 2 had a great cast overall, I actually like Leroy/Mike friendship also Naomi until the episode she went crazy on Cooke.

I loved Naomi and Leroy, and loved Mike until his jealousy of Dustin took over his personality. Regardless, they're probably the most disposable cast members on Las Vegas 2. Ideally there'd only be one "peacekeeper", "filler", "commentator" character per season.

Adam royer was there for only three weeks and he had way more camera time than cooke and some other people. He's tv gold

Yeah, it's crazy when you think about how him, and Joi were in the house for the same amount of time. I had trouble disliking the guy. He was honest to a fault.

But every season need those and not just drama like Nia especially force drama in my opinion.
I feel like Vegas had read drama and animosity...Not just someone trying to pick a fight with the outcast for no reason.
But every season need those and not just drama like Nia especially force drama in my opinion.
On the Portland season, I think Marlon was the only "peacekeeper" necessary. Pick one sane, level-headed person, and pick entertaining dynamic people for the rest of the cast. Jordan, and Nia were amazing casting choices.
The thing with vegas was Adam R was 100% manufactured drama, but the thing about manufactured drama is that it transforms into real drama very quickly, and at that point it's entertaining. He came in there wanting to be like the Jersey Shore kids, and get into fights with randoms, and break ****, and cause drama. But it cycled into Nany cheating on her ex-boyfriend, and ending a 6-year-relationship, and Nany revealing her past with domestic abuse, and all of that was very real.
I do believe Nia targeted Jordan at first to start drama, but I think after the pool table incident Jordan started to hate Nia, which fueled him spreading the idea that she's a prostitute, which I think she was genuinely offended by. I think all of the stuff with the lamp-gate was genuine. After that Jordan was in Johnny and Averey's ear non-stop about how awful Nia was, and of course they hopped on the Jordan train which fueled a lot of the fights later on in the season that were genuine. Drama has like a domino effect.
I mean Nia's instigation brought out a softer/more genuine side to Jordan, and kind of showed Johnny and Averey for who they really are as well. I'd say Nia made everyone "stop being polite and start getting real". We wouldn't get to see everyone's true colors without Nia instigating it, and I think they need to cast more people like that in future sesons who shi*-stir(Emilee was great on Cancun), otherwise you get seasons where people have their guard up the entire time.
