Not insensitive or rude--just a good observation
I still think it is Lily Rady's character...Misty I think
No one else really make sense but you never know with this show
If that is the necromancer/healer/hippie chick(love her!!) I think (just a theory) that she has a different storyline.
Here's my theory, hear me out.
This season is supposed to be all about witches vs. voodoo. Evidence suggests that they are all witches, just belonging to different "tribes." Salem Witches vs. Voodoo Witches, really. The Necromancer/Healer/Hippie/Misty(?) keeps talking about "finding her group/where she belongs." I think that she will, Wiccans. She definitely fits into that category. She was talking about herbal remedies and is totally Wicca-esque.
This still leaves the question, who is the next supreme? Nan and Emma Roberts are out (Nan isn't confirmed to be out of the running, I just don't see it being her.) I've narrowed it down to either Violet(whatever her name is) or the neighbor boy. I know that's out there, but it's just a theory. I mean, ****, it's probably queenie. (Although I'm sure the artery damage may be considered un-shining health.)
Lily Rabe gets better ever season
Strongly Disagree. Her performance last season is light years better than what she is doing this season and what she did in Season 1.

Well, he did say she gets better every season-- obviously her Asylum character would be better than season 1. This Lily Rabe character is my personal favorite, she did more in Asylum, but her scenes this season are just spectacular. Her acting diversity is something special.

Correct--she had more to work with in season 2 but, as an actor, I think she's constantly getting better and better. Even little subtle things this year

And she's so young, as well. Sky is the limit for her, truly.
This would be my top 5 for Coven, thus far: Jessica, Angela, Kathy, Frances, Lily
Madison's been a great surprise though.
I really do like this season, but no way I can see it topping Murder House. The cast is fantastic and with better writing, could easily be the best season, but there are far too many characters and the writing (especially with the voodoo tribe) has been poor. Still like this season, though.

I just saw this! This year's story sounds interesting...last season was my favorite so far. I LOVE this show!
Hopefully it will be better than Coven....weakest season so far IMO.
I agree, Coven started with soooo much potential, but it went downhill fast. Asylum still remains my favorite
Murder House was really good, but Asylum was in another level IMO. Sarah Paulson's performance was fantastic and Lily Rabe as Mary Eunice was beyond impressive.
American Horror Story: Freak Show begins its tale in the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida. The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience.
American Horror Story is a very rare show that is both smart and scary. It legit gives me the chills. Coven wasn't scary, but the first 2 seasons were scary as ****, but amazing. The stories and acting are exceptional!

I am the ONLY one here that really liked "Coven", apparently!

No I enjoyed Coven. It had a lot of things going for it. Especially the actors. Season 2 freaked me out because of the hospital and the entire setting was dark.
Coven was a great season, just not so scary. It had more humor to it than the previous 2.
A lot of people disliked season 2 a lot.
I love this show! I can't believe it's almost time for another season. Wow :)
I heard this season is going to be a mix between Asylum and Coven. It really is a great show.

I really hope the only similarities this season shares with Coven.. is about the cast, since we have a lot of those guys returning. I didn't "hate" Coven... it just had so much potential going... and then it all completely fell apart... Storylines were all over the place... there was no sense of direction. I hated how Madame LaLaurie was killed off.. it just didn't work for me. Too much comedy.. and not much "Horror". I really hope their promise of it being the "darkest season yet" to be true... Asylum was amazing! I'd love a mix between Murder House and Asylum.
Coven was funny and I liked that. Plus, the cast was AMAZING! Many cast members from Coven will return this season so already that's good. However, I want some Asylum darkness this season. Asylum story wise was flawless. Every episode led to something even bigger and crazier. Plus, the ending was good too. The Coven ending was kinda flat. Some dark humor would be nice as well though. A good in between, but more horror! It is a Freak Show.
Coven just was a mess which is unfortunate as it had an amazing cast and the early parts had potential to easily top the first two seasons.
Looking forward to Freak Show! Hope Lange is at her best as this will be it for her. :(

I haven't watched since season 1, but the premise for Freak Show has me really excited and ready to jump right back in!

You should watch Asylum (season 2)! I would love to know what you think

Will do! I've got about a million shows I'm watching/needing to watch!

Don't worry. If you don't get around to it, I'll just pester you about it. :eagerness:

I just spoke to a friend who only watched seasons 1 and 3 and not Asylum. I said are you crazy? Asylum is right up your ally. It's Dark, scary and crazy. I liked it because they didn't feel the need to add any humor. Which I think some people might have not liked, hence the switch up for Coven. It was just a dark masterful part of an anthology.
Coven did have an amazing cast.
But I did like Dylan Mcdermott and Connie Britton from Murder House a lot.

I'll definitely watch Asylum and Coven when I get the chance. I love the idea of an anthology approach, it so much better than some of the ridiculous, drawn-out stories we see season after season on some shows!
Murder House was perfect because it was unexpected...ended a little soft
Asylum was just all over the place IMO but still good
Coven started strong but faded fast and never recovered IMO
