Well I dont think Beth or Robin will ever be back. I actually want Aneesa to win once.
Robin has changed her tune and wants to come back. LOL. SHe, Cameran, BRad and Randy were supposed to be on Battle of the seasons, but then Randy backed out last second.
Did he say why? Rsndy, Brad, and Robin would have made that season so much better, and that means Brad'll come back still!! I thought he was done for good.
Watching older Beth and then watching her earlier seasons effects how I view her I'm sure. I'm still scratching my head as to why Ruthie picked reverse tug of war with Beth. As much as I like Ruthie she has made some weird and bad decisions on the challenges.
Ruthie was straight up not very good. She made it to the end on one challenge back in the days when it was "How many jumping jacks can you do?" and was average looking and arrogant. Not a big fan.
I never felt she was arrogant, and I think she's beautiful. To each their own I guess though.
That's what I'm saying, coming from my own experience/being young on top of it, it doesn't change your personality. It messes with/heighten your emotions. You are who you are, you should just own it and if every now and then you have mean girl moments so be it, it's really not that big of a deal. And I agree she has shown other sides to her previously before Rivals 2 that weren't really that great and she always has excuses/semi-owns up to it, but still has an excuse. I'm not hating on the girl I'm just saying yes she was going through something emotionally due to changes in her body, but at the same time that's not the sole reason for the behavior that took place. And I was also trying to make a point and was agreeing with someone else's comment about how cast members always blame their edit when they get a bad one, when really the producers can only work with what they are given. I'm sure their are good moments that were shown with Johnny, but at the same time if 80% of them were bad and 20% were good, then the producers are most likely going to show more of the bad then the good. And I was also using the Diem situation as another example, because that's a more recent situation.
I think what Diem was upset about was not just that she was portrayed as crazy but that she was never shown on the show giving herself shots or talking about her medication or menopause. I think if the show had shown her melting down that one night (still kept that in) but also showed other scenes explaining her medication situation then Diem would not have been as upset. I predict she probably still would have felt embarrassed by the edit of her looking crazy, even with a scene or two of her taking medication being in the show, but perhaps she would not have felt such a sense of betrayal by producers. I personally think even if more of Diem's perspective had been show that Diem was still just ready to be done after this challenge anyway, just a feeling that I have...I think she was already leaning in that direction and the producers actions this season just solidified it for her. Now you can say well other people on the show had their bad nights as well (such as Zach) and the other side wasn't always shown for them, but I wonder if Zach went to producers ahead of time to state he had some sort of special issue and was worried about how he would be edited to look this season....HIGHLY UNLIKELY, lol. The fact is, yes Diem did agree to go on the show even with her health situation and so she has to own the fact that she probably did put herself in a compromised position emotionally but at the same time I don't think the producers can get off entirely scot free. I mean producers did nothing illegal to Diem but at the same time you can act in a legal manner and still not have the best ethics in the world. Those are 2 different things if that makes sense. Diem did go and talk to them and let them know her concerns and they promised her that viewers would understand the special situation she was in and that they supported and loved her. Now obviously none of us are privy to what exactly was said in those talks. Maybe producers said a whole bunch of rosy things to Diem and she took that to mean that she would not be edited in an unfavorable light when producers never said those words to Diem exactly but Diem just assumed that is what they meant by "we will take care of you." Reading between the lines, what the producers probably meant was we will still edit our show how we want to but on a personal level just know that we care about you and we will make sure your safe while your here and this is just business, not personal. We have a television show to produce. I also think at that point Trishelle had already left, Sarah was forced home and Anastasia was thinking of leaving before Diem talked her into staying, lol, and so producers probably fudged a little bit with Diem and said some things she wanted to hear to get her to stay so no one else would go home and F up their show. If I were Diem, I would have perhaps tried to get some assurances of certain things in writing, I would not have entirely trusted the production company, but most likely if Diem asked for those things they would have said no on that and she would not have been allowed on the show. Like for example, I would have tried to get them to put into writing, I, Diem, have no control over the edit when it comes to storyline but I would like at least a few scenes in the show educating the viewers on cancer and menopause. Of course I can see how Diem would have had a hard time getting those assurances since no other cast member would probably get that type of assurance when it comes to featuring something in their background....they would have had to treat Diem like a special case. They did use some footage of when Diem shaved her head and they showed her dancing in the club triumphantly, so maybe from MTV's perspective they did feature the story in that way. To me though they focused a lot more on the CT/Diem romance (which I have no complaints about, lol) and I think Diem would have probably preferred they spent more of that time on the cause she was there to promote. I do think the shows are changing since Diem was first on in Fresh Meat. I was watching some old challenge episodes on MTV.com the other night and I noticed the episodes used to be 20 minutes long when you take out commercials and they used to focus more on the challenges themselves and a little less on the personal drama in the house. Now though, the episodes are 40 minutes long and there is a lot more focus given to the drama in the house (fights, hookups, etc). I think Diem has wanted to go back to the challenges because the challenges provide a way for her to get out of the hospital and forget about the fact that she has cancer for awhile. The challenges in the past have helped with her depression but I now think with how the format of the challenges is changing (with less of the focus being on the challenges themselves) that these challenges are probably not the best thing for someone who is recovering from cancer. I mean Johnny said it himself on the reunion show....that these shows are hard enough on the healthy competitors mentally, much less someone who is recovering from cancer. I do hope Diem finds other forums on TV to continue to promote the cause though because I think her message is a good one to get out there, but let's face it, MTV is interested in showing the physical challenges and the drama in the house. They are not particularly concerned with a social message. They might have been in the early days of the Real World with Pedro on season 3 but it's been a long time since those early days and there is a lot more competition now and a lot more reality shows. The Challenge has been close to being cancelled in the past and so I'm sure producers figure that the ratings must stay up high and to get high ratings people want to see the hookups, fights, etc.

She made it to the end on one challenge back in the days when it was "How many jumping jacks can you do?" and was average looking and arrogant. Not a big fan.
Ruthie put on one of the greatest performances on a challenge. You need to rewatch that challenge because there were some tough competitions like the harness one where she beat out everyone including the guys to win the mission and cars for the girls.
Ruthie is actually a good competitor. She has a lot of heart and performs well, 9 times out of 10. SHe isn't much on alliances and stuff, which is what usually gets her.
Ruthie was straight up not very good. She made it to the end on one challenge back in the days when it was "How many jumping jacks can you do?" and was average looking and arrogant. Not a big fan.
This tells me that you never watched ALL of the first Battle of the Sexes. Ruthie was the clear leader point-wise throughout all of the challenges. She performed consistently and often lead the girls emotionally and physically. Please re-watch that challenge, especially with what TheCloser pointed out in the harness challenge where she was able to hook it in the right place faster than everyone else. Even Colin pointed out that he was incredibly proud at Ruthie for being able to prove herself as a competitor and to shine! I suppose the 'arrogant' thing is a personal opinion between each of us. I would disagree, but we all have our moments where we will eventually disagree with someone. Just please make sure that everyone stays respectful (Not specifically you Rockstar, just a general note for everyone). We have our disagreements, but let's do our best to make sure that there's a sufficient amount of respect towards others here. Though more importantly, I wonder how this topic is even being talked about in a spoiler thread for the new challenge. *shrug*
Yeah it would be great to see Julie back but she wouldn't know anyone there
she knows CT very well...watch 4:50 RR/RW Inferno: Reunion Part 2 - YouTube
Is there any thread to just post a probable cast n format without spoilers?
Is there any thread to just post a probable cast n format without spoilers?
It didn't happen last season so probably not. This thread is basically like that right now anyway so...
Is there any thread to just post a probable cast n format without spoilers?
Might as well post it here. Heck, even things not pertaining to this challenge has been posted here. I think the mods have given up on controlling this site because it's gotten out of hand, at times.
I think that this is a Ruins 2 or Cutthroat 2
Ty is so strange. I don't even know why they cast him because apparently he doesn't cooperative in the interviews. Apparently he just says all one word answers and says he doesn't care and his interview last like 20 mintues while everyone elses last a couple of hours.
1. He threw his roommate over a balcony 2. He flipped a bunk bed on his ex girlfriend 3. He got into fights with practically the entire house on his first two challenges 4. His Cutthroat challenge/elimination performances 5. Hooked up with Paula and Aneesa 6. Got into fights with CT 2 out of the 3 challenges they've done together. Why not put them on the same team? 7. And as you said, He's "strange". Don't really know what you're gonna get with him. I think they'd take that gamble, especially if they already have drama queens like Jemmye, Nia, Dustin, Frank, Emilee, Johnny R., Jasmine, and CT on. If Ty pulls another "Rivals 2", they're covered. 8. An ally for Johnny B. Again, it's not even for sure he's on this challenge. He was just a guess based on the assumption this is Vets vs Rookies and we can't rule him out without social media.

I don't think they thought too highly of his fights with CT if they were never even shown on the actual episodes. Don't think they care too much if you hook up either.
Yeah it would be great to see Julie back but she wouldn't know anyone there
Jo hello. Lol. I don't thimk it would matter if she does or not tbh.

I still like him though even though hi OG season got boring at times. Aneesa/Ty? According to who?

I think TY is better then people give him credit for I mean he beat Abram who is a beast
cutthroat. Paula has been calm since She won rivals.
No that was BOTExes. Paula was crying/having a mental breakdown at the reunion, because she made out with Ty, which was cheating on her boyfriend at the time.
No that was BOTExes. Paula was crying/having a mental breakdown at the reunion, because she made out with Ty, which was cheating on her boyfriend at the time.
She did everything with TY not just made out, but yeh that's why she was crying.
Good point. I still like him though even though hi OG season got boring at times. Aneesa/Ty? According to who?
the ***** they should have shown for Rivals II
Aneesa has hooked up with a lot of the guys--at least a decent amount.
Good point. I still like him though even though hi OG season got boring at times. Aneesa/Ty? According to who?
To one of those little clips they show during commercials, Aneesa was giving him a "massage" under the covers lol
there is a generic thread...

I don't want to read elimination spoilers, but I am pretty sure Eric isn't on it but Molds hasn't updated her cast list. If anyone knows the right guy will you pm it to me?
9. He seriously wanted [strike]Brandon[/strike] Luke to suck his wiener.
For real? Lol. Is Luke even gay?
so is cohutta a rookie? if so.. that doesnt make any sense
He did 2 so he shouldn't be imo.
He did 2 so he shouldn't be imo.
Well according to the "new rookie rules" he would be. Based on the new rules of the 14 we know are on, there are 8 rookies and 6 veterans. Add on Preston and you have 9 "rookies". Based on old rules you have 11 veterans and 3 rookies, add Preston there and it's 12 veterans 3 rookies for the guy side. ...and this is why I don't think it's veterans vs rookies themed.
