Based on what Trey said on Afterbuzz about the first time they did this elimination, it looks to me like Camila and Jemmeye cheated

The preview on insidetv showed jemmye lifting the rope to camila so she can reach it but not with her hands but using the saw underneath to raise the rope so is that not allowed?
The preview on insidetv showed jemmye lifting the rope to camila so she can reach it but not with her hands but using the saw underneath to raise the rope so is that not allowed?
It is allowed because they did not DQ them for it. The rules are vague and the producers can enforce them however they want.
O nice observation , I just noticed it too, Jemmy is holding and pulling the rope for Camila with the saw itself, she isn't actually grabbing onto the rope with her hands. This is great strategy and maybe that was the whole point of this elimination round was to help each other.
Last year would have been better to have a "The **** They Shouldn't Have Shown" and just aired a marathon of the whole season
Meh Seasons > everything else I'll take Team Las Vegas drama over any Diem or Camila drama
Unless there really something we don't see coming like a 3rd place elim. round and only 2 teams from each gender go to the true final? I'm kinda fine with it because I just love this show so more is okay. Just surprised that they that much. Often the Final has only taken 1/2 an episode. Now it's potentially 1 1/2 episodes.
I'm giving myself a slight pat on the back. I kinda predicted the 3rd place elimination although it was a very wild guess to account for how long the Final was going to be. Also I enjoyed the double twist they did. I personally wouldn't have been happy with them doing some sort of Amazing Race style Final. I like Amazing Race, but it would have been a bit too out of left field.
Still no footage of the overly hyped CT vs Ty?
Still no footage of the overly hyped CT vs Ty?
Hyped? I completely forgot about that until now.
Hyped? I completely forgot about that until now.
It certainly was once that trailer came out. There were other events in the trailer that were false advertisement that people anticipated for. No big deal though but still...

Wes is saying on twitter they had 1.5 hr lead
Holy crap I don't know if this is something to be excited about but Cara maria just retweeted my tweet with the picture I attached of her, Cooke, and Wes and CT on the yacht together, woo hooo :P EDIT: Here's the tweet I put out https://twitter.com/RatedRudy/status...117632/photo/1 Next on my bucket list IS a retweet or tweet from WesMTV :p
like I already said last week why not wait for the actual episode before making claims that one team cheated? It was clearly not the case....:shame:
This would have been a perfect final for Sarah because she's great swimmer and good at puzzles
I'm upset that Marlon and Jordon don't even see a real final. I feel for these 3rd placed teams.
I'm upset that Marlon and Jordon don't even see a real final. I feel for these 3rd placed teams.
Yep. I hate these "Last team to arrive part 1, will be eliminated" type of things especially after this weak first round that wasn't really that hard or extraordinary like the previous finals. Give them at least the experience of a final after they work hard for six weeks and reached the finals.
Do we know for certain that they do not make it? Bananas/Frank capsized and Marlon/Jordan were not that far behind them.
It was frank and bananas who tipped?
It was frank and bananas who tipped?
Do you think Paula would be that concerned if it was Jordan/Marlon? She would shouting something to Johnny about paddling faster and not saying "I can't believe this."
Do you think Paula would be that concerned if it was Jordan/Marlon? She would shouting something to Johnny about paddling faster and not saying "I can't believe this."
Paula seems to be pretty close friends with both teams now. So I think she would be equally concerned with both teams.

If they were going to do this then I think they should've just made it a Final 2 instead of Final 3.

If you look when she says "ooooh they capsized" she's smiling. I would think she'd be a little more frantic about it if it had been Johnny.
yeah does anyone know anything bout ty and ct?
Yeah I don't like it either. If they were going to do this then I think they should've just made it a Final 2 instead of Final 3.
In all honesty, the two teams that make it on both the guys/girls side were probably the only two teams who had a shot at winning the final anyway
Exclusive interview with Dunbar Merrill - New York Reality TV | Examiner.com Here's a interview Dunbar just conducted and in it he said he threw this challenge, also stated that he makes 5 figures in the challenge wether he lost first week or last week which seems alot has it always been this high Vman or is he just blowing smoke. Cause third place this year splits $15,000
Links to this interview has been poster previously at vevmo. The "rumor" is that the veterans now receive $10,000 to appear on the show. It used to be $5,000. Exact amounts are likely something the cast is precluded from discussing.

But still theres no way people can live off of 5-10k a year. Do you know how much making it to the final is? Besides the prize money is there like a bonus?

I'm just not sure as they are as In demand as they once where.
I would think before. They get paid a decent amount for club scenes and lectures. I'm just not sure as they are as In demand as they once where.
Decent amount? Not for years. When the market became diluted with reality people (about 2008), the top reality people could no longer find good paying clubs gigs. Non-MTV types were undercutting the market and taking as little as $300 - $500 per night, often with no travel expenses. Very, very few people have done well in recent years.

That's why throwing that first challenge is so disreputable.
