To be fair, dude does have a Masters and a JD. Monica was fairly unmemorable from that season though so maybe he's the reason why they were cast.
Didn't they want him in the first place before her?

I do like this twist for the very reason being discussed. When you win, you can lose your family member. It's an interesting component.
Very good point from Marissa.
Sucks for Marissa
And the first "**** you" of the season goes to...
Sucks for Marissa
It's probably not fair for her as an individual, but they were looking for a reason and one was easy to grasp.

So it was Gervase's fault she's being voted out. We'll see how he takes that next episode.
I feel bad now she has to deal with ruppert.
Hopefully Candice does everyone a favor and knocks him out.
Hopefully Candice does everyone a favor and knocks him out.
I'm hoping for that to happen.
Oh yay, the old Colton. Does this mean they're going to do 3 way duels the whole season?
Oh look at colton after he said he has changed. Big surprise.
Just watched the episode. Can't stand Brad. Caleb and Colton is the biggest example of "opposites attract" ever. Rupert needs to go.
The three way duels are just not necessaru. Obvious ploy for producers to keep around who they want. Its a shame to take a good concept and throw that in, it lessens the win (tribe) and lose (family) aspect.

I just want wonder how long it'll be before loved ones end up facing each other on Redemption Island!
Guys. This season is gonna be ******* EPIC. Just picture it. Laura B., John, and Gervase all sitting in agony as they watch their loved one struggling in the duel. I just can't. I just-seriously. No, I can not. This cast is great. I don't think I've ever looked forward to Wednesday nights as I am now. Redemption island was a great idea. Way better for drama than showing up to the next challenge an your loved one isnt there. Then it's like "Aw ****.... Ok let's move on." They really brought it this season. I might go purchase a DVR box for the sole purpose of recording this show. This is my rant for the day.... Also, "I am a changed man. I hope everyone gets to see a different side of me.-- Shut up and ******* paddle! Before I hit you with this ******* PADDLE!"
