Before they ruin the memories of the first San Francisco season, I just wanted to remind everyone it's the 5 year anniversary of the last season that actually stood for social change, Brooklyn.
I guess I should've been more specific but where the housemates visit is out of anyone's control but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't set up the house in the middle of a ghetto area.
The cast is only supposed visit approved/cleared locations, unless you were in the cast of the Brooklyn season and sometimes just never showed up at the expected approved location. The NYC subway, I'm told, was great for ditching the camera crews.
The Paula Dean case was thrown out of Federal Count. The judge said the case had no merit, but, of course, her business life is ruined. Where is the justice for Mrs. Dean?
I don't hold any ill will against Ms. Dean for her comments because they all happened thirty years ago. Even if they were made today, it wouldn't be too big of a deal for me. She should never have lost all that she did. I was merely stating that because her ordeal was such a large story to the media, that the Real World Producers should take advantage of the situation.

I get your point, but pardon me for expressing it another way. "The producers should capitalize on Ms Dean's misfortune."

Surprised no one caught on to my cryptic clue, although there wasn't much time between the clue and the city reveal
Just a point of education so we all look smart in front of the TV professionals who read this site... The correct past tense of verb "cast" is "cast," not casted.

Thank you. Maybe now they'll listen.
What they should do for Season 30 is either reveal all the semi-finalist online , they could even do it without revelaling their name or location and give everyone 10 days to vote for their favorite 7 roommates or they could even do that online RW site again except this time the whole entire cast will be chosen that way.
Next if there is a next season it should be the final one , They should post on MTV , Top 10 possible locations and give everyone 10 days to vote .
Why was the MVP thread closed? Sheesh, people can't have their own opinions around here can't they? Everything must be one-sided, members must like the people V1man favors and hate whoever he dislikes.

It's not that. I just don't have time in my day to mediate a **********. Someone will eventually get offended, people will start reporting every other post and then people will get banned. I'll have to spend half an hour removing posts six pages back...

I see now. Yes, it most likely would have caused a ruckus in there.
Just so you know, my comment wasn't meant to attack V1man or anything I just jumped to conclusions thinking the reason behind the closing was because of bias. Sorry.

I totally understand.
I wonder what these people do with their cellphones after they turn them off. Just leave it at home or something? haha
I think production takes them? And they're supposed to get them back afterwards. I heard something once about production losing someone's phones though.

You should take your best shots soon. My clock is ticking down toward zero.

To expand the discussion: Production also takes away cast phones at the final US departure airport and returns them after elimination or after the final day of shooting. I know of a couple of instances where cast members, after giving up their phones, have borrowed one from a recognizing fan at some in an airport bar. In another instance, a cast member asked an obliging Delta customer service agent to send someone text message. Later, of course, the stories about these events become embellished and fun to hear about from other cast members at a post-reunion show wrap party.
It just really amazes me how bad our interests are when it comes to televisions entertainment as a country.I know RW is on its last leg and storylines can be repetitive, but its a show that at least serves a purpose(more so the older seasons before SD2) Shows like Bad Girls Club really serves no purpose just tasteless women and constant fighting week in week out. Eventually that will get boring soon as well.
I honestly think the Bad Girls Club and The Real World both actually serve their purposes to this day. If you watch both shows closely they both still have the same ending affect on the cast members such as their first season. On The Real World we still watch seven strangers (no matter how they were cast) with seven different personalities learning to grow and understand from each other. If you watch the After Shows the growth is present as the cast members talk about how situations in the house could have been avoided which comes from having learned about each other and themselves. With Bad Girls Club we get excessive fighting and immaturity but we also get girls who are able to grow and reflect after going through the process and watching the show. I think most people have a problem seeing that the shows are the same because they don't understand today's generation. It's obvious that someone from Real World: New York isn't going to solve conflict as someone from Real World: Portland because it's two totally different time periods. However, the fact that both people from these completely different time periods can grow and learn is why the show has survived as long as it has.

I agree about the Real World part, idk about BGC because I haven't really seen much of it.
I still think there's something really interesting and unique about putting seven strangers into a house and watching it play out but reality TV has become so oversaturated I think RW is trying to find that balance between inviting new viewers in and keeping old viewers so it'll be interesting to see if they can accomplish that with this upcoming season.
Part of me wants them to do another season where one of the cast members was the publics vote online or something.
However, that didnt turn out too well with Ayiiia and Greg(?) so....
maybe not lol
