The Challenge Rivals: Revenge Is a Dish Best Not Serve
With regards to Theresa, I'd love to see her on a non-partner challenge to see what she can do, but she was pretty stupid this challenge. Like many competitors, she takes things too personally. Instead of focussing on Diem/Aneesa, her best bet was to rally votes against Cooke/Cara Marie. First, it is more difficult to rally votes against Diem/Aneesa. Second, if Jordan/Marlon voted in Diem/Aneesa and they come back, Jordan/Marlon would become more of a target than if Cooke/Cara Marie went in and came back.
Not necessarily, at this point in the game the makeshift alliance would have had the numbers in the house. Let's say Marlon/Jordan did vote Anessa/Diem in, that guaranteed the Diem/Camilla/Emily/Paula alliance would have been down to 2 votes as oppose to the 3 they now have. Whereas on the flip side Theresa/Jas/Cooke/Cara alliance would also have 2 votes. And this would have left Nany/Jonna as the deciding vote and they likely would side with Marlon/Jordan. Now the way this likely plays out is Marlon/Jordan are 4th on Diems priority list and it'll probably come to pass soon enough.
LOL @ Paula & Emily having something to worry about
Agreed! More people should "like" your post. ;)
Anyone else think Jordan & Marlon kind of royally screwed up by NOT picking Diem & Aneesa? With Jordan making a deal previously with Theresa & Jasmine, and then going back on it - it makes him look completely untrustworthy. You can't trust someone who says they're going to do something in this game and then at the last moment, flips the switch on them. Not only that, but let's explore the scenario if Jordan & Marlon picked Diem & Aneesa. Neither Jemmye/Camila nor Diem/Aneesa have Jordan/Marlon on their finals radar, in fact, as we get closer to the end - considering the threat that the two have been to the veteran teams, chances are Johnny/Frank & CT/Wes will inform their respective team mates to lower the boom on them and send them into eliminations. By picking Diem/Aneesa, it would've ensured that one of the teams voting against them went home and they would've kept Theresa/Jasmine who could've potentially had their back. I also suspect that Diem/Aneesa wouldn't have done as well in that type of elimination. Nehemiah, who discussed last night's episode, made a good point that the Rookies seem to bury themselves by playing their role - which is beneath the veterans. The Rookies in this game actually have the numbers and this decision could've flipped the game just a bit, instead of this game always dwindling down to the same people in the end.
Best part of this episode was the mid-season trailer at the end of the episode. I thought for an MTV reality television show featuring D list celebrities, the comic editing was pretty good at the end, where CT and Wes are discussing staying "cool calm and collected", followed immediately by them going ape **** on Johnny with CT throwing in a "U MAD BRO?!" at the very end of it. Classic crazy CT. That's why I'm thrilled they keep bringing him back to these Challenges. When it comes down to it, there is a lot of time to fill between challenges, and if they can fill that time with crazy and unintentionally hilarious moments like that, then I feel less like I have wasted 40 minutes of my life, and more like I have productively deduced some novel new insight in human behavior. At least that's what I tell myself before I fall asleep at night. Onward to the episode. There wasn't much that happened that was particularly remarkable, was it? Even the crazy was somewhat forgettable. The theme of this episode was "10 minutes." Jordan went back on his word, and he was not concerned because, sure enough, 10 minutes later in TV time, Theresa and Jasmine were gone. As far as the Challenge itself, it was... cute. Emily and Paula rebound after there first challenge loss with a win. This is the most stacked pair in challenge history. And that's not taking into account their physical advantages. Between the both of them, Emily and Paula have enough brains to overheat the rest of the chicks on this show until there's nothing but smoldering ash in their skulls. Someone mentioned after Camilla and Jemmye won the elimination that, HOLY ****, Paula and Emily have some LEGIT ******* COMPETITION. ARE YOU FEELING THE HEAT, EMILY AND PAULA? ARE YOU? GREEN TEAM IS HOT ON YOUR TRAIL, AND THEM *****ES GONNA ROLL ON YOU LIKE A ******* AVALANCHE. I think it was Ty who said that, which was a momentous occasion in it of itself. For one, Ty spoke for the first time that I can ******* remember this season. I was hoping he would be crazier, but it seems that Leroy has made him cool as a cucumber. In addition, it is remarkable because Ty used all three of his brain cells to talk. Granted what he said was wildly stupid and straight out of What-The-****-Are-You-Saying Junction, but it remains an impressive feat in my eyes. Being that I'm a giver, I can't help but grant credit where it is due. Grats bro. I thought there was gonna be more repercussions from the "who is the most fake person still left in the house?" question, but none of that drama made it back to the house. I was looking forward to another Jemmye going ape-**** moment in this challenge... Alas, the ketchup incident seemed to burn her out for now. There was a brief tiff between Marlon and Johnny Bananas at the workout station. Johnny chimed in with his opinion with regards to Jordan and Marlon's team strategy, because if nothing else Johnny Bananas loves hearing Johnny Bananas chime in about anything. God bless Johnny Bananas. Marlon continues his rampage of overcompensating for being a rookie by antagonizing and trying to intimidate veteran challengers by exuding the aura of I'm-a-hairs'-breadth-away-from-*******-kicking-your-dick-in. After Marlon jumped into the pool in the first episode to show that he was more hardcore than CT, the editors tried to curry sympathy for Marlon by telling me that he was a ********. Here's the thing, I'm a progressive ******* thinker. I give no ****s who ****s what and where and in what position unless I am directly involved and conscious while that **** is happening. In this PC culture, we are told that being a ****** bag to anyone who has faced prejudice is on par with a hate crime. Some people are just ****** bags to everyone, regardless of gender, sexuality, race, or religion. That doesn't make 'em skin heads. So no, MTV, you're not going to make me think that Marlon is simply a spunky firecracker of a ********. He's a blowhard whose only form of expression is masking his insecurities by trying to bark louder than the other dogs in the yard. At least that's what I'm gleaning from this show. I'm sure he's a wonderful human being outside of this show. Then again, I don't care. After Johnny and Marlon's little spat, we have the vote. Now Jordan and Marlon supposedly had Theresa and Jasmine's backs in this vote. So it should come as no surprise that Jordan and Marlon voted them in. It was OBVIOUSLY a throwaway vote, like how Theresa and Jasmine threw away their vote last week when they voted in Leroy and Ty (sarcasm). HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE THAT THERESA? Alas, Jordan said some things about breaking his word and the like... If I was Jordan, I would have just said "Throwaway vote. WAIT, WAIT. TAKE BACKSIES TEEJ, TAKE BACKSIES! Awwwwwww, ****. I did bad, didn't I? I did a bad thing. ****." Theresa says somethings about how Jordan is an evil human being, and how she has a low opinion of him now, but she leaves out the crux of her issues with this game: her lack of insight with regards to how these competitors play this game leads her to damnation, and when she leads herself to damnation, she gets really butthurt. Which I totally get. I've been to damnation before, and that place ******* SUCKS. But I didn't blame that **** on Jordan or Diem or anyone. After all, the only thing to blame is an irredeemable and vengeful God that laughs at our mortality and tickles our sphincters and insides in such away that in our dying moments we evacuate our bowels. That is who Theresa should be ****** at. Or she should just accept that it's a game and she may have made bad calls and in life ya win some, ya lose some. Unless you're Johnny Bananas, where winning is routine. But if there was no Johnny Bananas, then the rest of us would have no one to compare our ****ty lives to. GOD BLESS JOHNNY BANANAS. But seriously, don't. Jemmye and Camila win this elimination, and for a moment the world stops and looks, before returning to not giving a **** because Emily and Paula have that victory LOCKED IN. I would say take that to the bank, but banks have had a habit of losing our money lately... So take it home and bury it in your backyard instead, since it is likely safer there.
Agreed! More people should "like" your post. ;)
Lol, I actually forgot to. I can't remember a pair dominating like this in any previous season.
Mind Riot, you have left me speechless! LOL!! That was funny.....whether I agree or disagree...that made me laugh! Thanks! :highly_amused:
Lol, I actually forgot to. I can't remember a pair dominating like this in any previous season.
Haha. I don't really care about people "liking" things usually, but Lex and I are on a team in the Vevmo Revenge competition, and that was this week's mission, to get as many likes as possible. It's over now though! <3 But yeah, Emily and Paula are the best. It feels so... uneven. I wish it was just a little bit more of a competition between the girls' teams.
Yeah that's what I didn't get about Jordan and Marlon's decision. If they would have voted Aneesa and Diem they could have changed the game with at least one of the female vet teams going home which then would lead to them having the numbers on guys days.
It's not strange at all since the episode would not air until months later and whatever was said about the bombing by any cast member would hardly been well informed or timely. That's an easy decision from a production standpoint.
I don't post often but I noticed the Boston Strong thing so was curious if either Camila or Jemmye were from/lived in Boston. All I remember about the spring break "special" Camila was in is her eating peppers and crying I think? and I didn't watch Jemmye's season. Now that I know this was filmed around the same time that happened it makes more sense.( Although it was a little strange to see it written along with phrases like I love your Mom, but I'm assuming the thought behind it all was good and that's what matters. I also get why they wouldn't really include anything about it in the episode, especially just based on the type of show it is. Maybe this sounds strange but it just doesn't seem to "fit" if that makes sense? If a season of Real World had been filming I would understand them including it more, especially if they brought in tv's for them to watch coverage or anything(pretty sure thats only ever happened with 9/11 though). Also I guess I don't follow all the info etc a ton but I thought that people on the show were pretty restricted from tv,internet, many phone calls etc so I was a little surprised that'd know the "phrase" if that's what you want to call it or mantra maybe? I dunno of Boston Strong but I guess maybe someone heard it from someone on the phone or something or maybe they do have more access? And I know I have now put waaay to much thought into this but it caught my eye when I saw it during the elimination round and it definitely effected my family and I so I found it interesting.
Yeah that's what I didn't get about Jordan and Marlon's decision. If they would have voted Aneesa and Diem they could have changed the game with at least one of the female vet teams going home which then would lead to them having the numbers on guys days.
That's assuming that the female rookies would have voted for them.

If you look back at the first couple of episodes you will see that Diem (and Aneesa) actually made sure that Jordan and Marlon were not send in by the veteran girls. You can clearly see Diem go to Paula, Emily, Camilla and gets them to vote for Robb and Derek 2 episodes in a row. Normally the veterans would be like lets vote in the rookies but they didnt because of the alliance that Diem had with Jordan and Marlon.
Yeah but that was from the beginning I feel like now would be their shot because at this point the vet girls would put them in before Johnny Frank CT and Wes and maybe even the other guys. I mean Camila has already voted for them to go in. I felt like that would have been their best shot to change things up.

I think Jordan made the right move by voting in Theresa/Jasmine because if he voted for Diem he would have ****** a lot of people off. As rookies your goal mainly is to make it as far as possible because you don't have enough control to make power moves. He knew Theresa wasn't going to come back so it was better to **** her off than Diem considering pretty everyone is ****** at Theresa at this point in the game.
Yeah I love that Jonna didn't get sucked in to a stupid fight. She just ignored her. She was being real. She probably saw Jemmye always instigating stuff for attention.
I don't really like Jonna, but I do give her a lot of credit for that, and also for the way she handled it when Jasmine was talking badly about Jordan to her.
But if he wouldn't have voted for Theresa she probably wouldn't have gone in which means she would be there for another week of voting where they would have majority on the girls side.
Knight and Preston surely would have voted for Theresa/Jasmine if Jordan/Marlon had voted Diem/Aneesa or another team. I think Knight said something to the effect that since his vote wasn't necessary...don't quote me, I'm more than paraphrasing here.
Knight and preston would have probably thrown their vote away anyway if jordan and marlon voted for diem and aneessa. Unless if diem and aneessa and knight/preston were close.
I thought Theresa was talking to Knight too when she was talking to Jordan in the room and he said he would do it? That's the only reason why I thought he should have done it cause I thought Knight was sort of in on it too.

I just see Knight as being attached to CT's hip and would vote with him unless it involved Jemmye (sp.?) and even then I don't know what he would do. I think the CT guy club is Knight, Zach, Leroy and Wes by default. I would think Diem's alliance with Wes/CT, Johnny/Frank, Jordan/Marlon is spot on. She picked the right three.

And I only see Knight/Preston and CT/Wes being in a tight alliance and maybe Zach/Trey cause they kept showing Wes/CT/Zach talking about who they should vote for. I didnt see CT look out for Leroy at all, and realistically how could he, you cant align with every team, it seems like CT is just going with what Wes wants atm. Also Leroy said something funny in an interview last week about how he should have let CT hit someone instead of calming him down, he said so then Wes could go home, lol it might also be cause CT was making fun of the voting and laughing about it with Zach and Wes
I wonder what happens if theirs a tie in the votes...
I guess the winning team from that week's challenge makes the final decision to break the tie.

I would suggest to you that at least 3 of the male teams are working together in some fashion just as the three veteran girls teams are. I agree w/you that Wes/CT are not protecting Leroy. I threw him in CT's club for the comic relief he provides (the fake rap, the Leroy/Ty comedy routine, etc.). I like what you referenced about letting CT hit someone. We're not seeing very much of CT the strategist, except when it comes to ******* women in the house. As V1man would say, everyone has their roles to play and CT's appears to be the former. But I can't imagine he's letting Wes drive the car. CT??? No way!
I wonder what happens if theirs a tie in the votes...
That's what I been wondering all season, I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet. Jasmine said on a spreecast that she probably thinks they would do a re-vote or the first place team would decide. I'm also waiting to see what would happened if a team was split on who to vote in, like if Jemmye wanted to vote Knight Preston but Camila wanted to vote Jordan and Marlon, I wonder how that would work.

But if he really doesnt want to **** girls off then he needs to stop hooking up with all of them, that causes unnecessary drama and I'm sure it can backfire

You'd think after all these years of backfiring, he'd have gotten it by now. But noooooooooooooo. Just sayin'...
Finals could've potentially been different if Marlon & Jordan voted for Diem & Aneesa. I stand by that one vote could've changed the game (this is of course pending Knight & Preston continued to throw away their vote).
Here's the thing...if Marlon & Jordan vote in Aneesa & Diem then they'd have the numbers with the girls. Either Diem or Jemmye would leave meaning Marlon & Jordan are safe with Theresa, Jonna/Nany and Cara/Cooke--they just didn't see this because they're rookies. Now, if they finish last they'll definitely have to go against Leroy & Ty....and if anyone else finishes last there's a very good chance they'll be voted in over Leroy and Ty. Just poor strategy by the rookies.
