so is there gonna be a next season cause everybody usually know the location by now I hope they didnt cancel the show
"By now" implies that there is a fixed start date or set schedule. There isn't.
If it were confirmed, there would be separate thread about it. Actually, I don't think management really cares. After last season, I certainly don't.
But last season was amazing to many fans so i dont understand the post skeptisim. I mean people who hated it are bitter over the whole fight which is just nonsense.
Anyway if they didnt care V1, there wouldn't be press release after press release...

It doesn't matter how good the season was, it's about viewership. If the 750,000 people who are going to watch Real World no matter how good or bad it is enjoy it, that means nothing. The only number that matters is how many viewers who may not watch it choose to watch, which wasn't much.
Somewhat off topic, but anyway...
I get so annoyed when I read posts saying they should go to Atlanta. ***, have you actually been to Atlanta? Could one of these die hard Atlanta fans please explain to me what the appeal is? Sure, its a large city and is relatively well known, but I really don't think its a good city for the Real World. Someone mentioned earlier that the city should be like another "character" on the show, and I completely agree. Now think about it, what would Atlanta's "character" be?
The Real World IS NOT the same as Bad Girls Club. No offense to BGC fans, but in my opinion, the reason Atlanta was alright for them is because people associate Atlanta with rap and R&B and it has more of an appeal to those who like the whole "urban," "ghetto-fab," "bad-*******" lifestyle.
*ends rant*

DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By "Management" I meant vevmo's leadership. I don't see molds13 giving a S*** about it.
The Real World: Canada... who agree?
That would be cool, watching Americans living in Canada. It could highlight the little entertaining idiosyncrasies of a different culture so close to our own. I'd watch!

I go to Atlanta quite a bit and though people refer to Atlanta as "Ghetto" it's far from it. Atlanta has many different sides to it which is why it's a perfect location for The Real World because it can break down that silly Stereotype. I also don't see the problem with with The Real World being associated with Rap and R&B because appealing to the Urban Demographic could certainly help the ratings at this point. I would also like to know what makes a city "Good" for The Real World in your eyes because aside from Las Vegas the last few seasons haven't been successful.

Lol.
Maybe you should try to get out a bit more because from the sound of it you don't.

Oh well, no need to shout. You should've been clearer. :highly_amused:

That's not entirely true. Most people just think of Turner Field or that ATL is a nation of homosexuals. And The Housewives though good doesn't go it justice.
Besides after Outkast and TLC stopped making music it wasn't all that known for either Hip Hop or R&B. But I never heard of people saying its ghetto. Just stuck up and bougie *** people with "money".
The only place , I will truly like them to go to is Hawaii and Arizona.
Fresh, how many times do we have to keep saying this, they went to Hawaii already in summer '99 and going back wouldn't help the franchise either...
Arizona would be original yes but outside Phoenix, I just don't see that location happening.

I'm speaking from someone who lives in Georgia. When most people speak of Atlanta that I know it's always referred to as Ghetto because of the popular shows produced here like The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. Atlanta has also been called "Black Hollywood" because most shows and movies produced here are geared towards African Americans and it's the place where most African Americans have successful acting careers. As for Hip Hop most people typically think of New York and/or Atlanta. You are right though about most people speaking about the many Homosexuals living in Atlanta which is very true.
A trip to a heavily African American community would be a good thing for the Real World. With the Paula Dean fiasco and then Riley Cooper couldn't they re-explore racism and diversity. Cast a person(s) with racist or at least small minded views and throw them into fire of an unknown new world. I mean, isn't that why the Real World was started?
The Paula Dean case was thrown out of Federal Count. The judge said the case had no merit, but, of course, her business life is ruined. Where is the justice for Mrs. Dean?
Lol.
Maybe you should try to get out a bit more because from the sound of it you don't.
I'm not impressed by Atlanta so that means I don't get out much? Makes perfect sense. Obviously I've gotten out enough to know that Atlanta is completely overrated by many of my fellow Vevmites.

Her business life was ruined because of what she admitted.

In my opinion a good city is one with a life and personality of its own. Also I think its good when the city has a good "downtown" area that the cast can live in and still have easy access (preferably walking distance) to plenty of activities, restaurants, bars, nightlife, etc. Of course this doesn't automatically make for a good season (i.e. DC), that's up to the cast members, but it sure doesn't when the cast can do more than just sit around the house. Just my opinion.

Well it depends on what part of Atlanta they put them in. If they renovate an old building in Midtown Atlanta like they did Portland they'll have access to all the bars, clubs, and restaurants.

No, you don't get out much because it's common knowledge that any city has a "urban" or ghetto side to it but most also have an extremely wealthy side as well. Some of the most wealthy entrepreneurs in America live in Atlanta and they are far from ghetto and the hip hop world. Hence me saying you need to get out more, because Atlanta, just like any other city has a good and bad side to it and IF Real World decided to go it should be pretty obvious to you that they wouldn't go to the ghetto or "urban" part of it.
...they wouldn't go to the ghetto or "urban" part of it.
What, and ignore part of the network's core social demographic? ROFL
What, and ignore part of the network's core social demographic? ROFL
yeah because it makes so much sense to have a huge mansion with a bunch of 20-something year old's on a television show in the middle of the ghetto.
I would love to see production cast at least 3 or 4 black people, but I think they are nervous about bringing too many black people on the show because of negative stereotype.

But earlier you wrote:
go to the ghetto or "urban" part of it.
Certainly they would not ignore "urban Atlanta." What I wrote had nothing to do with the cast location. That is not where they interact with the locals. You should pay more careful attention to what I write and you'd have less of a knee-jerk reaction to someone not fully agreeing with you. But we all know they aren't going to be in Atlanta or Charleston anyway.

I guess I should've been more specific but where the housemates visit is out of anyone's control but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't set up the house in the middle of a ghetto area.
