Really sad/anxious to find out why Dustin and Heather are on here. A little interested in seeing Tyler and Catelynn too.

Really? For Dustin & Heather it's $$$$$$$$
They are not together.

They weren't officially broken up when I first posted that. In fact, I don't think many people knew they were even having problems.
I honestly didnt know they were having problems... they seemed like a really happy couple on the challenges and twitter... heck, they even had a vlog about moving in together for a long time... kinda sad they split. Maybe he admitted he was bi and she broke it off lol
Heather and Dustin finally make their appearance in the next (Wed @ 10 PM) episode of Couples Therapy where Joe Francis "discovers" Dustin's gay **** past. I'm sure Heather will be so pleased...

I know! I'm excited to finally get an insight of what was going on with their relationship. I was mad I had to waste two Wednesday nights of watching Flave's girl act like a jr. high cheerleader. Two good things coming this Wednesday. I bet you'll be watching Kenny and Snooki hype up the Challenge, huh?

Not a chance I'm watching anything that includes Mr. Santucci.

I don't feel bad for her one single bit. Like what kind of respectable lady puts up with that disgusting nonsense. When something bad turns up she'll (Heather) have hindsight.

What girl? Flave isn't with anybody.

Yeah right.

I feel bad for her, because you can't help who you love, and sometimes you love someone who is good but has a sordid past. It IS in the past, afterall. I also feel bad for him, since that decision will forever color his life, and he was perhaps too naive to visualize that at the time, and now he must live with it. So must everyone who loves him. That, to me, is sad and pitiable.
Watching Heather's therapy sessions is like having deja vu. I feel bad for her and know that relationships like that ultimately do not work. You cannot "carry" someone through life. I really don't like Dustin as much now as I did before... he just seems to put in 0% effort to salvage their relationship. I hate that defeatist attitude.
Does anyone on Vevmo watch this show?! Input, people!

I do watch, but have not yet watched the episode from last Wed. It's on my "to do" list with about 9 other shows. Perhaps you are not "feeling" Dustin on Couples Therapy since I have reason to believe that they did the show for the money. I believe they had already decided to split before shooting began. It had been coming for some time. You can view Heather's commentary and conversations with Dr. Jill as validation of her decision to move on with her life. She is just a better actor than Dustin, imo.
On a personal level, I really like Heather. She has a solid intellect and is well grounded. If she stays away from MTV, she will do fine.

I think that I agree with that. It makes sense, if their relationship was over before the show even began filming. However, I feel that Heather was still truly seeking and needing that validation, and that her emotions of pain and confusion were still very real. I don't think she had to do as much acting as Dustin did, because I think she was authentically thinking-through and re-living the relationship's demise, whereas he was just along for the ride.

In my personal experience, Heather has always been authentic. I agree with your comments.
She is hands down one of the most likeable girls from The Real World for me. Smart, kind, and open. I really hope that she does well, as you seem to think she will, but I'm not sure what it is she actually aspires to do. Do you know what her future plans or current projects are?
Also, I'd like to know what your thoughts are on Dustin's recent arrest, since we are now talking about both of them. It was said that Dustin said something along the lines of, "Any girl should consider herself lucky [to be groped (I suppose?)] by someone famous". Do you think that is a realistic quote, or is it a case of the media building a sinister case from thin air? Was the entire situation perhaps blown out of proportion, or is it a representation of the "real Dustin"?

I don't know Dustin personally, so I have no frame of reference from which to judge the potential quote. On it's face, it seems more the kind of thing one of one's drunk friends would say. It's easy for quasi witnesses and reporters to fudge the source and even the words so that the reporting has the most dramatic affect.
Frankly, anyone from RW who thinks he or she is "famous" is completely delusional, and Dustin seems a little more in touch with reality than that.

I like her too, and I agree she is smart and knows what she wants in life, is hard to say that about some ppl that do this things, I read in her blog that she and dustin just wanted different things in life, you should check it, she also explains what's next for her:

Thanks for that link. It was a really good read. And the "staggering student debt" she talks about at other times is something I can definitely understand.
I agree with you Britney about Heather. She's my favorite cast member ever from The Real World. She's a very intelligent girl and seems very down to earth. Somebody you'd want to be friends with in real life. That's not something you can say about most of the people we see on The Real World or The Challenges.
Dustin I also liked. Though I'm not sure what to think about him now after hearing about his arrest since I don't know whether or not he's guilty.
As for whether or not they're "acting" on Couples Therapy, that's hard for me to say because they've been featured in the show very little so far. It looks like they'll finally be getting more focus in next week's episode, though. I'm surprised it took this long for Joe to start taunting Dustin and Heather because of Dustin's past.
My quick summary of last night's episode of Couples Therapy:
William Jonathan Drayton, Jr.(aka "Flavor Flav):
"You know what I'm sayin'?"
"You know what I'm sayin'?"
"You know what I'm sayin'?"
"You know what I'm sayin'"
"You know what I'm sayin'?"
"You know what I'm sayin'?"
"You know what I'm sayin'?"
"You know what I'm sayin'?"
"You know what I'm sayin'?"
After this point, I quit counting as I realized that I had no idea what he was saying. He simply has no ability to express himself orally.
There was one nice moment between Heather & Dustin and Dr. Jill, the therapist, when they discussed intimacy issues which revealed that Dustin does carry some baggage from his past.
Finally Heather and Zito will get some air time on next weeks episode. Can't believe Joe was trying to degrade RW people, wait, yes I can. His line or work is based on a large degrading scale. This may be an episode I'm obligated to tune into.

Why do people care about how one speaks "orally". Not everybody wants to talk like Jill and Shelly at work. "How are you doing?" "I'm doing fine thanks" while twirling their hair. SMH...

I don't know or care what other people think. It's obvious to me that he uses the phrase as an unnecessary linguistic crutch. It is among the many things which make him an unappealing personality to me, and it's damn annoying.
Flavorrrrrr Flav!
I dislike him, but when it comes down to a choice between him and that Joe (Girls Gone Wild) guy when they're arguing, I definitely know whose side I'm on.
Here's to hoping that next week's episode is slightly more meaningful. I completely related with Heather's emotional predicament, and I'm happy over the eventual outcome. In my opinion, it was the only possible one.
What bothers me is that he seems to feel very inadequate and thus has to have the loudest voice in the room. He seems to think that he should have the final say on everything and that his opinion is the only one that is "right". He might have his girlfriend whipped (due to all of her issues), but other people don't appreciate being treated that way. It is very difficult to watch him lecturing others in the house when I see him as one of the most flawed people there. He might be one of the people I dislike most in all of reality TV so far.
*Joe's girlfriend Abbey is telling him about how today she faced her deep-rooted fears and issues about her eating disorder and managed to eat pasta, hamburgers, etc. for the first time in a long time, and she clearly feels a lot of pride and optimism from taking this step*:
Joe: "Oh my god! And did you throw it all up, like where is it? *Laughing* "
I feel so sorry for that girl.
Heather is a bit embarrassed that she responded at all to Joe, giving him any air time, but she has appreciated the support she's received from people for going toe to toe with him and clearly "winning."
