The Challenge: Rivals II - Paula & Emily

[B]Heads turned and jaws dropped when one of the game's most fearless players was teamed with a total bundle of nerves. The last time these two competed together, Emily sent Paula home from Battle of the Exes. However, a win still eludes Emily, while Paula arrives at the house as the defending Rivals champion. Emily relates, "Paula is a nut case. She is panicky and stressful. But she knows how to win a Final. She's done it before and that's something I can't say." Paired with such a huge physical threat, Paula already feels like she hit the jackpot when it comes to Rivals II, remarking, "I literally could not ask for a better partner. She is all quads and traps and muscles. She's like a lost X-Man or something." This veteran pair may have what it takes to compete in a Final, but they have to contend with a target on their backs from the moment they enter the game. Paula hit the jackpot alright...twice.
I'm rooting for Emily only here...Paula can go fly a kite.
Who wants to bet that Paula's "Rivals III" team mate is gonna be Laurel? (should there be a "Rivals III"..) Ridiculous....
Wow, they must really love Paula. Make the broad work for a win, not hand her one of the top female competitors of all time. I very much want an Emily win, but not if it means Paula gets #2. I'm conflicted.
and unlike the guys they have no competition, if Paula wins again, she should not be allowed back on a rivals challenge, like no youre not pairing her up with Laurel

So, I'm rooting for them along with Jonna & Nany.
I would have been happy if Emily was paired with literally anyone else. Emily deserves to win. Paula doesn't deserve another amazing female competitor.
I'd rather see Emily win than Paula lose, but yeah, BMP served her first place in a silver platter once again. Anyway, I think they take 1st place, which is good cause i'll get to watch Emily be her perfet self all-season long.
I honestly don't know if I would prefer a Emily win or Paula loss, but this team is by far, the best. If Emily goes into one more elimination round, she'll have the best current elimination record.
I don't get why all the Paula hate on here; I love the girl as a competitor. Remember, it'll take both Paula and Emily to make it far into the game, not just Emily dragging Paula.

She goes with the mob, who aren't good people, and then cries when she gets screwed, by these same people.
I love Paula. She is hilarious. I don't see a problem going with the mob if they're her close friends (JEK). I mean everyone aligns themselves with their friends.
I love Paula. She is hilarious. I don't see a problem going with the mob if they're her close friends (JEK). I mean everyone aligns themselves with their friends.
That's not my issue, it's her being upset about being screwed by them, when she knows they're not good people to begin with (see: Island, Duel 2, Cutthroat). Not to mention her bully-like behavior on Rivals and her paranoia on FM2 and Cutthroat. I do admit she does have hilarious confessionals, but this is getting totally off-topic, lol.
I love Paula. She is hilarious. I don't see a problem going with the mob if they're her close friends (JEK). I mean everyone aligns themselves with their friends.
As fresh meat said, she goes with the mob then cries oh they used me and screwed me, yet does the same thing next time, lets face it, they get her far but they have no plans on winning it for her, they could care less if she won or lost but still without them she wouldnt get anywhere, then she goes and says how awful they are when she was backing them up the entire time, now lucky for her they made the rivals series, honestly they shouldve sat her out or found someone else for Emily
she is awful
As a competitor, or as a person in general?
and on every challenge does something that makes me dislike her (starting with the island).
Okay, so starting with: The Island: runs with the mob, only to be screwed by them to have Evelyn on their boat. Duel II: tried to run the game with Evan via getting the elimination vote down to a science Fresh Meat II: sent home by Evelyn; didn't want Evelyn there to begin with Cutthroat: Lost to Emily before the Final Rivals: Won with Evelyn Exes: Hooks up with Ty, then loses to him/Emily.
She goes with the mob, who aren't good people, and then cries when she gets screwed, by these same people.
In the six challenges above, she went with the mob (JEK) on Island (JEK), Duel II (E), and Fresh Meat II (K). On Cutthroat, nobody from the mob was on her team (J was on Blue). On Rivals, Paula/Evelyn came in last the first mission, so they went straight to the Jungle; on the other three challenges that involved women's elimination, they ended up being safe from two, and rookies Jasmine/Jonna ended up heading against Katelynn/Sarah. On Exes, Dunbar/Paula were Power Couple once, beat Anessa/Rachel only to lose to Ty/Emily one round later. So, based on that, I don't think Paula is a weak player; she has times where she screwed herself up from winning the game, and she has done stuff that I'm not pleased with (mostly hooking up with Ty while her boyfriend was back home).
She is awful and on every challenge does something that makes me dislike her (starting with the Island). She goes with the mob, who aren't good people, and then cries when she gets screwed, by these same people.
Also add in the fact that she has been on so many of these..She's literally been on almost every one of these things since her RW season. I'm sick of her and I wish she would retire.
This is def the team to beat and the team that everyone will suck up to.
Paula <3 All the hate for her on here is kinda sad....on your guys' end. Kinda pathetic.
Paula <3 All the hate for her on here is kinda sad....on your guys' end. Kinda pathetic.
Actually Paula's the one that is kind of pathetic. The final straw for me with her was Rivals during the Cara Maria-Wes "Cola" incident. Paula's classless and I wish Laurel would have gone at her harder. If anyone should be understanding to Cara it is Paula and I can't stand Cara Maria. I used to like Paula but I can only take so much crying when she brings it upon herself. All that said, I hope she wins because that means Emily wins
Who wants to bet that Paula's "Rivals III" team mate is gonna be Laurel? (should there be a "Rivals III"..) Ridiculous....
Problem with that is Laurel is done with Challenges per her Twitter.
This is the female team to beat. Paula's Challenges to Finals record is 1 win out of 9 previous attempts. This is her 10th Challenge and she debated about coming on it or not. If they win, which they should, it will likely be Paula's last Challenge. As for Emily, I love her and this could be the start of her domination on the female side with Laurel no longer doing Challenges and Evelyn at Harvard Law School.
Problem with that is Laurel is done with Challenges per her Twitter.
Actually she said she'd do one if the timing was right.

Wasn't she one of the many vets complaining that they weren't called for Seasons?
Where did you hear that this will likely be her last challenge? Wasn't she one of the many vets complaining that they weren't called for Seasons?
From Evan's podcast, she was not sure if she was going to do this one because of her bf and she ended up going anyway. But I never said she stated it would be her last Challenge. I don't know if she complained about Seasons or not. I know EK wanted to go but for certain reasons did not.

As much as I love the girl, I do hope this is Paula's last challenge. I think she should retire and focus on her life with her boyfriend...and I do hope that she didn't do anything stupid to **** that relationship up (or anyone pushed her into something).
Paula will only quit when they quit calling her
Oh and I didn't say you did, I asked where did you hear that it will likely be Paula's final challenge.
I was hypothesizing based on how she felt about running off to this one when her boyfriend was not to happy about it and that it would be her 10th Challenge (which puts her in a few small group).
it would be her 10th Challenge (which puts her in a few small group).
A small group? How about the only challenger to do 10 challenges; yes, there are a few that have done 9, but double digits is just, wow!
A small group? How about the only challenger to do 10 challenges; yes, there are a few that have done 9, but double digits is just, wow!
I think Derrick has done 10 Challenges now and Bananas might have as well
