I think Nia keeps mentioning athletes and how much money seh has to add credibility to her book(if possible) like see it does work i have athletes who spoile me and i can show you too. It's her best venue to advertise and this world truly needs a book how to be a goldigger, have no work ethic, and/or get a pro athlete to knock you up to get his a huge payday.
Is that not basically what the book is? that's how she describes it on the spreecast with Alex. She didn't mention the knocked up part, but just look at TMZ and u see every other story is about a women asking for more money from a pro athlete. She is really sending a great message with this book. It basically is how to get a rich guy to spend the most on you, that's a way to do it for the longest time really. NY times best seller is my guess
I caught jordan's line abotu not the first time i have tried to kill myself, and i feel sad that it went over the head of the cast int hat moment. but it appears will be discussed later, but i hate to hear that and have someone who has that mentality be screwed with for sport. Even though she isn't mind f'ing him like she thinks but just saying knowing that he has why mess with the guy? Just makes you look like even worse a person evne if it's purely for ratings and you don't mean it. jordan may make it hard to like him in the house, but honestly b esides the racist comment they have totally overblown his actions to this point i think. Johnny/jessica especially
The way Nia explained it on Spreecast was that she was done messing with Jordan for like 20 minutes. Ands had went to sleep but he kept coming in and calling her a **** and stuff. If I was trying to get sleep and someone kept messing with me, I would have probably reacted the same way.

I can understand it from Jordan's viewpoint too though. He was trying to sleep and she kept bugging him so he waited until she was almost asleep to return the favor. Although, I do not think she can take what she dishes out as much as she claims she always wins.
Perhaps her "research" for her book has spoiled her?

You would have grabbed a lamp and threatened to smash him with it? Or threaten to slit his throat?
I don't know, I find it hard to find sympathy for Nia. She got exactly what she deserved, not to mention what she wanted. She instigated the whole thing. As part of her "master plan" or whatever. I don't usually like to get all dramatic about people on reality shows, but she's a ******* sociopath.
Im a "call em like a see em" type. She was acting like one, so... I don't think it was racist.
Nia is losing at her own game at this point. Idk what is going on with the whole master plan but what ever she's doing is not working. She plays the victim like obviously you were looking for trouble, its your own **** fault. She definitely bit off more than she could chew with jordan and now she starts acting like the "black b****" stereotype, and jordan called her out. She just looks stupid now with lamps alarm clocks and cheerios. That bell got me though everytime she banged his head. ring ring ring lol

The point is, you guys are way overreacting with the lamp ****. I seriously doubt she was super serious.

To be fair, that is a **** of a lot easier to decrypt than some of the things you post. No shade, just saying.

Well when he called her a pre-op ******, it was quite obvious what he was referring to, but the manbearpig, for cereal part is a reference to South Park.

I am not sure if by pre-op ****** he meant that she was on her way to becoming a manbearpig or if he meant post-op meaning she had just gotten surgery to no longer be a manbearpig.
I hope I have cleared up the confusion, because I am still a little confused if he got the pre-op and post-op backwards or not.

I've been told that before. I'm told that having a law or English literature background is useful, however. It's likely also generational. :torn:

I never actually thought she was going to hit him with the lamp. Mostly because I think she's full of **** and is nowhere near as tough as she claims to be. But even still, she was in the middle of an argument (that she started) and started threatening him with a lamp. She's pathetic.
The lamp is actually one of the least of my concerns when it comes to her. She just has a truly terrible personality. Everything from her book about being a golddigger, to her constant comments about Jordan's ****, to her terrible work ethic, and her outrageous ego. I mean, what kind of adult actually makes fun of someone for their disability? Her whole thing with Jordan is absurd. If she actually hates him as much as she says, then she should just ignore him. Her whole "scheme" or whatever to expose him just makes her look worse. We can all see Jordan's an *******, but considering she actually makes me sympathize with him, it says something about her.

Interesting observations. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
I wonder if her TV persona "work ethic" is also perhaps a reason why
she is not on the current challenge.
Nia only seems to be relaxed when she is orally fixating like sucking her thumb or stuffing her face.
She likes to be pampered, to get away with whatever she wants, and still lives at home with her parents but flies on private jets with "boyfriends". Sounds like an immature princess to me.

Honestly, I've not looked, but is there any evidence of the private jets or generous "boyfriends," or is this simply and illusion or scam by Nia? I'm certainly suspicious.

I think it is part of her bull**** but she says it constantly to Jordan and there is her book on golddiggers she is writing (which is another topic I'm skeptical of based on her work ethic to date).
I just saw the episode and you know what? Nia is disgusting. Why does she need to Embarrass him and do all this "Master Plan" BS? Is Jordan a *******? Absolutely. But there's no need to target him and constantly mess with him. Just leave the guy alone.
And that whole fight was 100% her fault. Nia just kept picking and picking and picking at him and he ended up giving him a does of her own medicine and she couldn't take it I really wished that Jordan would've knocked her right on her *** because she deserved it 100%
Oh and Marlon Typical just Typical Nia is the one that started all of that yet he's sitting there yelling at Jordan? Please. I get that Jordan didn't have to go there but she didn't have to keep messing with him. He really needs to be talking to Nia and tell her to leave him the **** alone.
Nia is just as insecure as Ana and Jess the end of this episode proved that.
Also Op, just like that it becomes about race , Marlon may take Jessica or Averey current lowest rank roomate.
Nia is just as insecure as Ana and Jess the end of this episode proved that.
How is Anastasia insecure? Maybe I missed something, or I haven't been paying attention...
How is Anastasia insecure? Maybe I missed something, or I haven't been paying attention...
I don't think Ana is insecure at all. She's very straightforward and sure of who she is. I thought at first she might be but she has proven me wrong.
I am in a completely different boat from everyone here. Strangely, I really like Nia. Yes, she's kind of a mean-spirited person, especially to target Jordan for his disability, but at least she's interesting to watch. It's kind of like a train wreck; you can't keep your eyes away (forgive me for the horribly over-used analogy). Anyway, I'm not really fond of anyone in the house, and Nia keeps me watching the show and interested in what's going to happen, because she's just so OUT THERE and I want to see what she does next. I don't like Averey or Johnny, Jessica is annoying and whiny, I don't like Jordan either, Marlon is just meh, and Anastasia? Who is that? Has she gotten more than 30 seconds of screen time since episode 1? Nia is keeping the season afloat for me right now.

I found Nia interesting up to a point. For me, the realization that she is acting -- and not well -- makes he a not-so-likable character. That she may be using her own insecurities as fodder to her response to others is all-too-expected. I feel like I've seen this play before and I didn't like it all that much the first time.
I've also noted a large inconsistency in Nia stated profession -- journalism -- and her alarmingly crass and occasionally incomprehensible tweets. It's like her twitter character is totally BCG, and not someone who explored and learned from among seven strangers.
About this whole BGC thing... are we getting this whole BGC vibe from Nia because she's a female, black and acting like a fool on television? I mean, we've had similar RW characters like her in the past but they just happen to be males (Ryan L, Greg, Frank etc.) and we don't say they belong on another show. To me she's just like any other reality tv folk that has the sociopath edit/behavior and TRW is fitting for her. ****, she could be on any show from Big Brother to even Basketball Wives (she wishes haha).
That's just my take.

I think the editors made a huge mistake when they aired Nia saying in her cast video "I'm a great liar". How am I suppose to like a character that in one of her first sentences was saying she was a great liar especially in a show that's called The REAL World?
That took everything away from her tough attitude and fight for justice. That's why the person who was portraited as the villain in the first episodes (Jordan) was totally right with his explanation about Nia which left nobody as a winner in this whole argument on this episode, because Nia acted totally as Jordan said she would act. Which made this whole argument just totally overacting and it looked like this fight was already seen on television and nothing special.
I think the editors thought that Jordan's monkey noises should've been the main focus after and should've made Nia the likable character here, but that turned completely, because in this episode it was Jordan who totally exposed Nia and not Nia Jordan. And now there's a lot of talking about Nia being a fake BG.
Nia is just awkward to watch. I thought the Nia vs. Jordan fight would be great, but I came out thinking "what?"... Nia just makes no sense. I thought she'd genuinely be a love to hate her type character... but I don't even know what to think of her. Worst acting job I have ever seen, and she is not intimidating in the slightest. Also her confessionals make her sound really stupid... but she's trying to come off as sly and smart haha

Exactly. It has to be real and not some fake character who's playing the cliche crazy person on a reality show, that's not interesting or fun to watch because it's not real. People loved (or loved to hate) people like Coral, Katie, Beth and even Ryan because they were genuinely interesting people to watch with interesting personalities and it wasn't an act or if it was an act they at least did a good job. Nia is sloppy, she constatly contradicts herself, doesn't make sense, does dumb things but then tries to somehow trick viewers into thinking she's some great master mind.
I'm glad she's helped the ratings even if it was a little but the whole "Hurricane Nia" thing didn't really have the huge impact it was supposed to because people can smell BS.

I'm not, but I can't speak for others. I can think of several cast members from BCG who are white are irresponsible.
Nia will be perfect for the challenges. I'm still unsure if her on The Real World works. But I do like her as a person, she is someone I could hang with.
