I saw this on my TV guide. I don't get why such a leap from NY to Vegas but those are the only two they're showing until the 27th.
I agree. That makes about zero sense.
If MTV weren't showing that stupid ******* show Ridiculousness marathons and Catfish reruns we would get more of a marathon with other seasons.
I don't know if anyone knew this but Key West Videos are available on MTV.com. I didn't even know Denver was still up, haha.
That scene when she has him by the neck and he throws her onto the bed... that didn't seem like too physical as if she wanted to hurt him. Looked like they were fooling around to me... s&m? maybe haha
They definitely were play fighting. But I wouldn't call it s&m, s&m is some pretty intense stuff lol

Thanks. Wish they played seasons that couldn't be accessed through Hulu+ (NY & SF)
Or through MTV, agreed.
I've seen the old seasons that are on the mtv.ca website except for LA, NY, San Fran and London, because I don't care.
I wanna see Philly, Hawaii, Back to NY, Chicago and Paris. It's like MTV decided to shun those seasons. It's really obnoxious, they should switch it up once in a while.
Not all of Key West is on, only the last half of the season
I think a lot of these seasons are there... somewhere scattered in misc. sectiosns, e just don't have the links and not all of the videos may be there or able to be played.
If we're still talking about mtv.com for the united states then no they are gone. I think san fran may be gone too. No idea about MTV.ca since I can not access the vids.
Canada has all of SanFran and i'm pretty sure all the other ones i mentioned... and its all neatly organized unlike the US one where you gotta sift through a ton of links.
I don't really get this argument because it's not true. MTV promoted the **** out of San Diego 2... to the point where I memorized the commercials. They only stopped once the ratings tanked to the point where it was redundant. The only reason they didn't bother with St. Thomas is because I'm sure at this point they can look at a season and tell whether it's even worth the time to promote and that season definitely was not, no amount of re-runs or promoting would have made people tune in.
Exactly. They knew St. Thomas was gonna suck, and it cost $$$ to promote, so they decided to cut their losses.

You cant watch it in the US
You cant watch it in the US
That sucks... I started watching SanFran yesterday (never seen it before), and so far i'm really liking it! I like Cory, Pedro, and Judd. Already knew about Puck beforehand... and he lives up to his obnoxious annoying ways.
I really hope Portland doesn't go off the BGC deep end... I still want honest and interesting roommate relationships. I hope Jordan learns something about his behaviour over the season as well as Nia. As much as I like the drama, in the end I still want them to come out as all friends.

I don't think it's anywhere close to becoming BGC. I hate that people, not you necessarily, saw one fist fight during the trailer and started saying things like "this is not the same real world anymore" "it's going to be trashy" "it's just like BGC". Sometimes thats what needs to happen for two people to finally release the pressure lol it's worked very well for me in the past.
Oh, and this is Jordan. I like him already

FYI, Rachel from SanFran is annoying too not just Puck. The Rachel fool was even on The View a few times and may be just about annoying as Hasselbeck if not more.
i'm not saying it's anything like BGC.. i've only seen one season of that (the vegas one like 2 seasons ago?) and The Real World is nothing like that... and for good reason. The Real World deals with deep personal issues and shows how 7 roommates cope with all walks of life. It's a social experiment... not a fighting experiment.
They have been hyping up this season as a lot more than just one fight... It's like MTV wants to just celebrate violence... which I can understand because that's all today's audience comes to see. Apparently the whole cast gets into their own fights... and like others have said, Nia was picked for her drama factor.
I just really hope they go deeper than just mindless fighting and drama... I want these guys to really show that their is more to them than meets the eye. That's what the Real World is about. Real people, real issues, and real bonding.
I totally disagree that MTV is hyping up the violence. Other than that one fight with nia, averey, and Johnny which all probably happened on the same day...I haven't seen anything violent. I've just seen trailers and promos with verbal fights. Every season has those.
Besides, you can't say that one fight in the trailer didn't catch your attention. So if MTV needs the views, why not show a flicker of a massive fight to gain a couple thousand viewers

They need viewers in the hundreds of thousands, not a "couple thousand."

Although that was far from the main point I was making, thanks for pointing that out V.
I haven't been watching MTV too much lately (mostly because there are no decent shows on right now) so I want to know, have they been showing a lot of previews for this season lately?
I was also looking at the TV Guide website and it says how they're showing a marathon all weekend of old seasons (NY, Las Vegas 1, SF) sorry if this was mentioned before, but does anyone know why they're showing these seasons instead of the more recent ones? Is it because the recent ones sucked so bad?

I think they want viewers who haven't watched the show in while and also its been 20 years since the show started. It lets some of the new viewers, like me, to see how the show started.
Is it because the recent ones sucked so bad?
That would be the remedy if not I would be super surprised if otherwise. And new viewers as well. But to be honest they had amp time to do this because every 5 seasons they should have a marathon. Redux asides.

I think everyone should watch the NY season to understand what the show was supposed to be.

I watched it a little while back on Hulu and along with London, SF, and, LA. They all remind me of Brooklyn. I have a feeling that Portland will have the same vibe. Anastasia did a spreecast and said that there are a ton of social issues they dealt with this season ;Racism, eating disorders, child abuse, rape are some that I've heard will be heavily talked about - That alone gives me so much hope for this season.

In the old days (up until like Denver), they used to replay old seasons the weekend before the premier. That happened like every season. I think it's because MTV has seen the season as has high hopes for it for they really want to put out the promos and stuff. Plus, during the marathon they'll be showing casting tapes, interviews, promos, house tours, etc.. all that will get older viewers who haven't seen the show in a while more interested in the show
Ok, well, in that case, I am very much looking forward to seeing the marathons all weekend!
And since I've never seen most of the earlier seasons (the earliest full season I've seen is Vegas) I'm excited to get to see how the show started.
Although, I want to ask, since Friday is my busy day, does anyone know where/if I can watch NY online?
