The Carrie Diaries
Does anyone watches this show?? It's soo good, every episode it feels like I'm watching one of those neon 80's teen paperback come to life on screen.
Does anyone watches this show?? It's soo good, every episode it feels like I'm watching one of those neon 80's teen paperback come to life on screen.
I meant to... but I forgot.
I gave the premiere a shot, but found it kind of boring. I loved the fact that Freema Agyeman was in it, but just because she was from Doctor Who, doesn't mean it kept my interest. I have the others DVR'd and may give it another shot in a few weeks time.
I love how more and more Doctor Who fans are on various sites I visit too. I love that show. However I never really really like the latter seasons of Sex and the City but at the same time I damn sure do not want to watch The Carrie Diaries. It makes me sick to my stomach that they went ahead with this.
AnnaSophia is a damn good actress thats for sure... no way did I think anyone could pull off a young Bradshaw... but she does it effortlessly. She's gonna have a real big future ahead of her! So far the show has been average aside from the great pilot which I thought nicely introduced the characters, their problems, the 80s backdrop, and the two worlds (hometown/nyc). It all balanced really well and was put together like a john hughes movie in the highest respect. It's really unfortunate to see so many SATC fans not willing to give the show a chance. They have already written it off without watching a single episode. And even if they had watched an episode, they spent every minute comparing and not even trying to engage in the new characters and teen angst struggles. Because of this, ratings are going down, and I for once am really dissapointed that there's a possibility of cancellation. What with all the other crap being put on the CW, we finally get something original, fun, and stylish. GG died long ago.. as did OTH. All the supernatural shows are getting lame. 90210 still doesnt work. Why can't people stop judging things before seeing them. It truly is unfortunate. I for one have been enjoying the Carrie Diaries, and my fav character is Walt (def relate to him thats for sure)... I hope the series fleshes out all their storylines in time for the season 1 finale, just incase cancellation looms at the end.

The whole prequel series thing has been done to television death...
90210 has been on for 5 seasons... and it still sucks. Its just stupid tween girls that are obsessed with it. And for the record, I didn't mean prequel series... i meant 80s themed with two distinct filming locations. It's based off a book series by the same writer as SATC. People like you are the ones who wont let this show even get a chance. Have you seen the pilot? please reread what I wrote. The show actually has promise unlike all the other CW pilots that get constantly pumped out. AnnaSophia Robb is a terrific actress and plays Bradshaw perfectly. Give it a chance for ******'s sake!
I'm afraid I'm going to have to agree with 202mitch. I was a SERIOUS 90210 fan in the 90s. I was so excited for the reboot. I hate it. If The Carrie Diaries is the same, I'm out.
I saw a preview for this show like a week before the premiere and thought it looked a little interesting so I decided to record it. I've watched all three episodes so far and I have to say it's pretty good. The premiere was amazing. I love the 80's theme, its perfect for this show. The characters are cool, lots of potential story lines that I could see coming. Anyone who has their doubts should definitely give it a try.
After watching tonights ep.. I really think this show is special. It's got a lot going for itself and even with being on the CW it brings up heavy topics and great lessons to be learned. The way they are handling walt's situation is perfect! Carrie's so wise for her age and i love her narration... it really gives the show a little more oomph. lol ... and again with AnnaSophia... this girl will be huge someday, just watch. I am praying they keep it on for another season.
After watching tonights ep.. I really think this show is special.
Oh its special alright but not in the way you are thinking.
no that would be you. :P haha j/k I'm serious, the show is so much better than half the crap on the CW. Ratings went up this past episode so hopefully they keep going up. I was so close to giving up on the CW, but this show has brought be back once more.
LMAO. Anyway, I felt the same way about theCW but they are trying to work something out, even if it means coming from the bottom.
Ratings went up this past episode so hopefully they keep going up.
Yas! So glad the ratings went up, I wish they would they move it to some other time frame since Monday all they good shows are on. :/
Was this supposed to air during the fall? I mean 2 weeks ago was the Halloween episode and today is the thanksgiving one.
Was this supposed to air during the fall? I mean 2 weeks ago was the Halloween episode and today is the thanksgiving one.
No wonder I hate this show. Just think of it as The Real World/Road Rules syndrome where we see it after the fact. And to answer your question for real they always targeted the season for the spring.
Hmm I was just curious cause gossip girl and 90210 were always on point with the college/school holidays. I was just wondering if they were meant to have the Carrie Diaries on during the final season of Gossip Girl. Either way I think there's only 3 episodes left til the season finale and there hasn't been any news about it getting renewed. :(
7 more episodes actually... the season got a full 13 episode order.
