I just re-watched the episode; turns out he met her on a gay-dating site. He's straight, though.. why was he there in the first place?
He did what?
I just had to re-watch the episode because I was mind ****ed at first. It’s not as confusing as it was watching the day of it airing. But it’s still ridiculous though. They met on a LGBT website (I missed the first few min. of this episode to realize) but we don’t know what he identifies with. She’s a lesbian w/ a child but pretended to be a transgender (who does that?), and he was using his cousin photos and a different name. During the reveal he seems disappointed that she’s not transgender (at least to the viewers) and then reveals that he was only talking to her because she was providing for him financially as a cover up for his disappointment (that’s what everyone thinks). Gay and lesbians can have children too; just look at all the closeted men and women with children. So that girl having a child wasn't weird at all. And because a male is into Transgender woman doesn't make him gay but with Rod he clearly comes off as confused because why would he be on a LGBT site in the first place?
And because a male is into Transgender woman doesn't make him gay
On what planet?
I have a very hard time believing this show is real, especially after this episode.
On what planet?
For me I just prefer to refer to people as what they prefer to label themselves. Now if we're talking transsexual here and a heterosexual male has a partner that was once a male but identifies and lives as female then I'm not going to label him gay, he's still hetero to me. Especially if their partner transitioned from one gender to another and no longer has male parts. But in Rod's case, he thought that "she (Ebony) got the same thing we got" so he was aware that she could have a *****. Now that's a little questionable and not to mention he was on a LGTB website, but I still wouldn't call it 'gay'.
I have a very hard time believing this show is real, especially after this episode.
General consensus is its fake.
And because a male is into Transgender woman doesn't make him gay
If a man specifically wants a woman with a *****, like Rod appeared to want, I would classify him as gay. Or at the very least ********. If Rod was "straight" he'd just go for a woman with a ******.
No actually I think thats offensive to gay people. That be like saying people that like having sex with male horses are gay because the horse has a ****. It doesn't work like that.
How is it offensive? It is what it is.
Next episode is a gay male from the army. I wonder how the story is going to turn out, it seems to be less extreme as last weeks (thank god).
I saw the preview also. I bet you 10 bucks it's just as fake as well.
I'm out of ideas though, like what's the catch going to be? And I wonder if the ratings will go down a bit because the protagonist this episode is gay. Haha.
Just because he is gay doesn't mean the ratings will go down. I mean yes, they are both unattractive but still I'm watching just to see the Internet shade.
Of course ratings will go down, this is America.
"I'm not a model, I'm a bus driver." lmao, hilarious
This episode actually seemed real
Shoot, I forgot this was on
This episode actually seemed real
I'm inclined to agree, some parts of the story seemed way to bizarre to be made up. Then again, all the other stories are fake so why wouldn't this be.
Wow, the episode was disgusting. I felt like throwing up. And poor James "ain't to proud to beg". I felt he was begging Rico to take him back even though neither one of them were worth it.
What was disgusting about it? (I haven't watched it yet btw)
He is probably referring to the gay kiss at the end, tbf it was pretty disgusting, sloppy and everything.
The kiss was fine it's just that the whole begging thing, yea.
Watched the episode. James didn't seem so genuine to me even after all of lies were spilled, he talked like a player that got caught cheating and just saying whatever he could to win someone back. Idk, Rico better watch himself.
Except Renzi, he never cheated. He lied but never cheated. He wasn't trying to holler at anybody else you know. I don't know what they see in each other anyway.

Plus he just wasn't all that attractive or innocent so I totally see where you're coming from.
Is the season over? It's not on tonight...
Is the season over? It's not on tonight...
It's just on hiatus. Next episode is in 2 weeks.
It's just on hiatus. Next episode is in 2 weeks.
That's odd. What is going on with this show as well as Catfish, they're both taking a 2 week break (or in Teen Moms case it looks like it's a whole new season airing in two weeks without a good break)

Hence why they are doing 90 minute shows.
