I also want to see GI Joe 2. And Bacchus I frickin' loved that trailer and the first movie. I will be seeing that this May.
I couldn't be more excited for this. Benedict Cumberbatch is such a fabulous actor. I think he's going to be great as Khan.

I recently watched Clerks 1 & 2, and I notice that the storyline in Clerks ties to Mallrats and Chasing Amy. Hopefully Smith can gives us an update on what ever happened to Alyssa Jones and Holden on the new Clerks.
I never watched part 2 but I also had no idea that it was like that continuity wise. Let's not forget Scream and Scream 3.
Has anybody watched The Dark Side of Oz. Just curious.
Django Unchained is amazing. Some parts are very hard to watch, but it's a great - 3 hour- film.
Has anyone here watched Les Miserables yet? I am planning on going sunday. Want to hear those who have seen it opinions.
Has anyone here watched Les Miserables yet? I am planning on going sunday. Want to hear those who have seen it opinions.
I completely loved it! Best movie in my opinion of 2012. But then again, I'm such a musical nerd. Visually it was a disappointment because during the songs they stayed mostly in close-up, whereas I really wanted to see more of the production design. But it stayed true to the musical. I highly recommend it if musicals are your forte.
Django was awesome. Les miz was stupid as hell
Saw The Hobbit and Jack Reacher today. Wasn't too impressed with The Hobbit, it was okay but nothing too special. Jack Reacher was great, best thriller I've seen in a while. The Les Miserables trailer did stand out to me, wouldn't mind seeing that.
Has anyone here watched Les Miserables yet? I am planning on going sunday. Want to hear those who have seen it opinions.
I would have to be dragged at gunpoint and even then I'd probably risk life and limb to make a break for it. :p

Russell Crowe was the only disappointment but it's not like he was as cringe-worthy was Pierce Brosnan in Mama Mia. Everyone else was just so much better it made his performance stand out. Fab, I think they did mostly close-ups because they had them sing it live instead of lip-synching to prerecorded tracks and probably wanted to show that off. Still have to see The Hobbit!
I would have to be dragged at gunpoint and even then I'd probably risk life and limb to make a break for it. :p
Then you simply must be dragged by a beautiful woman to see it. That is pretty much "gunpoint." Ladies, any takers? (I enjoyed it, but then I've seen the musical four times.)

Hugh Jackman joins X-Men First Class Sequel Days of The Future Past!!!!! and The Wolverine is coming in July 2013 , So Geeked!!!! http://www.newsarama.com/film/hugh-jackman-wolverine-x-men-sequel.html
I saw Les Mis and liked it. Anne Hathaway will probably win Best Supporting Actress and Hugh Jackman will be nominated for Best Actor but will likely lose to Daniel Day Lewis (Lincoln). I also wouldn't be surprised (or upset) to see Eddie Redmayne get a Supporting Actor nomination for his role in Les Mis...but he'd probably end up losing to Tommy Lee Jones (Lincoln).
If you're interested, here is the very abridged version of my Django Unchained review. Don't worry. There are no spoilers. Hated: 1. The lame cameo. Terrible acting there. When you see it, you'll know. (WTF was with the Australian accent?) 2. The over abundant use of the "N" word. As an addendum to that, I also hated that there were so many "not black" people in the audience laughing at said use of the word. 3. The gratuitous violence. Tarantino isn't just extremely violent. He makes people want to laugh at it. I don't see the humor in exploding skulls. It's distasteful. Perhaps I'm missing the point. Loved: 1. All the other performances. Dicaprio, Foxx, Waltz, Jackson, Washington... How could it fail? OSCARS ALL AROUND! 2. The soundtrack. 2pac? Yes. 3. The story. I LOVED the story. It was equal parts horrifying and enlightening. My verdict: See it. Be prepared for lots of gore and highly intense and disturbing moments. Also, stay away from pasta sauce for at least 3 hours prior to viewing.

Not surprised that non blacks were laughing at the use of the N-word. smdh. 3. I suggest you go back and watch Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill among others. Tarantino isn't known for being subtle...at all. 1. I would be upset if they didn't at least win something. 2. When? 3. The story is okay. I just hate how certain networks are showing Roots like its the same thing, lol.
I saw Les Mis and liked it. As for Anne Hathaway, I can't stand her. Plus she was a horrible Catwoman right next to sexy Halle Berry.
3. I suggest you go back and watch Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill among others. Tarantino isn't known for being subtle...at all.
I've seen them. I don't like any of them... at all.
Just got back from Django... all i can say is WOW. WHAT A MOVIE. I'm not one for westerns, but this movie astonished me! I was captivated from beginning till end... the acting and script are phenomenal... Christopher Waltz, he is my hero. :P But seriously, that guy can act! Jamie & Leo are also fantastic in their roles... and who can forget Samuel L. Jackson... he makes you laugh but he also makes you so angry! As for the violence, it is top notch Tarantino! Just the way I like it. I can see why it's getting all the praise! Amazing 3hrs well spent :) Go see it!!!
I've seen them. I don't like any of them... at all.
Oh wow...

Actually, I hated this movie more than I have ever hated any movie... ever. It was so hard to sit through. I would have walked out of the theater, but I rode with a friend. I read the book as a child. I enjoyed it. This movie didn't do it any favors. That being said, This Means War shouldn't be on the list. While it won't be nominated for an Oscar, it was totally enjoyable. McG is a favorite of mine. <3 Tom Hardy is as drop dead handsome as ever, and Chelsea Handler brings the lulz. My only complaint is that they shouldn't have cut the scene with Miss Rebel Wilson. It was HILARIOUS.

I have been looking forward to this film for far too long. It's such a tease to have a (very) limited release. We get it. You want an Oscar. You probably deserve one. But we want to see the movie ****it! Joel Edgerton, Jason Clarke, and Jessica Chastain are three of my favorite actors right now. Hollywood, why you do?
