Not only did he dump her with a text message, but he wouldn't return any of her messages/calls. She was completely blindsided and she wanted answers. Furthermore, he was wearing the bracelet she bought him, mocking her with it. Marie wasn't very nice to Robb, but he wasn't very nice either.
There was definitely no love lost between those two, which is unfortunate.
and he wore the yellow shoes she romantically surprised him with! I think Marie was so hurt by him, but she's the kind of tough chick who won't allow herself to be seen on national tv crying over a guy hurting her like Laura. I think the whole reason Marie was playing hard to get on the show was because she was scared of getting hurt. Kind of sad how things went down between her and Robb.
BTW I remember someone saying Robb proposed to Marie on this challenge. Could have been a sweet joke, but someone said they saw a brief clip of it on tv. Is that true?!

yes, he was proposing to her in one of the trailers.
however im pretty sure it was just as a joke.
Laura is so bland. All I remember about her is that she whipped out her adoption papers to show Brandon and Trey the first night they were there. I didn't watch much of their season but I think LaToya would've been a much better choice than Laura.
I still want to see the thing of Robb proposing to Marie. I think it would be cute to see and I adore them both as castmembes. When was that even shown?
As for Laura, I can't bring myself to dislike her just because she seems sweet as sugar. I think she is genuinely a nice, bubbly person, but it's just she fell in love with a jerk. I think they wanted to get the couples on this challenge (reminded me of Austin's first time on Fresh Meat). But I'm pretty sure LaToya will be asked to do one eventually. Then it will be a competition between Toya, Devyn and Paula regarding who has the best one-liners.
I agree Camille, even on the reunion Robb\Swift mentioned that behind the cameras she does not act like a "bad ******" and called her fake...and she responded "why cause I was nice to you". She obviously fell hard for the guy, and on top of that he brang his new girl as his +1 to the reuion. Robb seems like a total adorable sweetheart, but on his audition tape he said he has a bad reputation with the women in his town for the way he dates multiple women. They both have some growing up to do.
Do you have the trailer where he is seen proposing? I missed it.
I wouldn't necessarily say that, St. Thomas had conflict but the editors didn't show much of it. Marie pushed one castmember (I believe Swift) off the boat, or tried to, while it was moving which pissed off the other roommates. She also burnt his bible, and as you know if you watched the season, Swift was pretty religious.
It could have been like DC (In the sense that nothing happened all season until Ty almost killed Andrew lol) but they didn't show either big altercations.
I feel like Swift either 1)Made up the whole story of Marie burning his bible, and thats why people think that or 2) referred to his little black book with numbers in it as his bible.
Either way I highly doubt Marie burned an actual bible. Swift is a big drama queen. And he cant be that religious by the way he acted in and after St. Thomas.

Completely agree on Laura. I'm positive Toya will do one soon enough.
Out of everyone from STT I only see Marie, Trey, and possibly Latoya (if she does one) to really become a fixture on these shows.

I think they will try to invite Robb and Marie back at the same time just to see what happens now that they're broken up.
All I know is they can have a Battle of the Exes 2 made up of most of the St Thomas cast. lol. Plus the three new couples from this challenge. Add Nany and Adam and Wes and KellyAnne and we'd have a hell of a show. lol.
Anyway Marie did a spreecast with Alex last night. She looked lovely and seemed lovely and content. She has a new boyfriend and a real job. She said she's mortified seeing herself on the show, but she just has to laugh at herself. She partied and blacked out a lot in Turkey so she didn't remember most of what happened in the last two episodes.
She said she gets along with everybody now and loves everyone. And at the reunion the cast voted her Miss Congeniality. She also said the real reason Zach wanted St Thomas in was because she wasn't getting along with him and he didn't appreciate that she was mean to Jonna who she didn't like, but now loves. She said any drama from the challenge was not worth holding on to, so it was easy to reconcile with Frank.
She also said she didn't have a problem with Trey anymore. Talk about progress.

haha that's messy, but I 'd love to see it.
LaToya doesn't seem like she'd do a challenge. In fact I think production is taking not not to put too many newbies in; if anything I think we'll see two or three Portland kids mixed in with vets and the majority of this cast.

LaToya has said she would love to do a challenge. She's very entertaining and gives excellent interviews. I think producers will be calling her. They just wanted to get all the couples of St Thomas on this one.

Really ? I guess I'm only saying that because she doesn't strike me as the competitive type.
Hopefully she'll swim better compared to STT.
The only one who had trouble with water was Robb though. Trey said they he wished he was still in the challenge for that one because he and Laura are good with water.

Robb said Toya surprised him one time because he thought she was the prissy type, but he saw her climb a mountain like a champ when they were in St Thomas. And anyway, even if she turns out not to be the most athletic and competitive, you know she will be tons of fun.
I miss the St Thomas season. I know I'm probably alone on that. It reminded me of older seasons and I could watch Marie, Robb and Toya all day.

Oh I meant, that when she was on St. Thomas, and had to do the swim test, she had a hard time doing it.

Not at all. I enjoyed the St. Thomas season as well.

Wow, I hated the St. Thomas season, it seemed like just a filler season and barely anything happened. Glad you enjoyed it though
Yeah I enjoyed St.Thomas as well, but only because of 3 people:
Marie, Latoya, and Robb
Amen. I'm with you on that. Marie especially-I don't think we've seen a female like her on the show before. She's interesting. I could happily fastforward past the Laura/Trey stuff though.

I agree about Marie. I usually watch these shows with a sort of bemused detachment, but I got really invested in her. There are not enough outspoken, confident women who don't throw other women under the bus on these shows. I think the ideal way to watch St. Thomas is just to edit all the Trey and Laura stuff out lol.
Filler season? This is reality television not episodic tv. What do you even mean
This season's ratings didn't even matter, it's all about Portland
This season's ratings didn't even matter, it's all about Portland
The ratings mattered. If they were fantastic, then the series could survive if Portland did poorly. Now, unless Portland does well, the series is probably cancelled.

Have you ever noticed the when the season has something controversial leaked before it airs, it does extremely well?
-Before NOLA aired, the blogs were buzzing about Preston ******* on Ryan's toothbrush because of the police reports.
-News about Zito's **** past was everywhere prior to Vegas.
-San Diego? Nothing.
-St. Thomas? Nothing.
-Portland has been making news with all of those fights being leaked especially the newest one when Johnny gets "racist" with Nia.
If the the tradition continues, Portland should do pretty well.
St. Thomas, we knew Brandon got kicked off.
That wasn't anything controversial though. It wasn't on any gossip websites like Perez Hilton or World Star Hip Hop like the other 3 seasons.
Why does people seem to hate Frank, but they like Marie? I personally think she is the female version of Frank. They are annoying and just start drama while they are drunk.
Marie seems more like Katie she explodes when ahe's mad and drunk, Frank is a ****** 24/7 it seems. Frank to me is just so contrived, thats my least favorite part about him.
