That's what I'm thinking as well. How could one not have heard about Carrie. The 2002 remake was okay but this one sounds absolutely dreadful. 1976 for life. oh yeah that sequel wasn't too bad either. "Their all gonna laugh at you!" lmao.

They way it was said in the first one and when she killed the three people with the pole and pool in part 2 was classic. Even for 1999. One reason why I never got contacts was because of that scene.

Not the ****ty sequel , and not the '02 remake. The problem I had with that one is that it was PG13 and a made-for-tv-movie so a lot was watered down. This version is Rated R and they says it'd going to be way more graphic, just like the novel. Plus, since it's set in 2012, I can only imagine what horrible things the classmates will do to her :D My one issue is that I think Chloe is too pretty for the role. Then again, it way either her, or Lindsey Lohan for the role.

Ugh..I'm a huge fan of Stephen King novels/movies and I loved Carrie..the book and the original movie but I don't know about this. And since we're talking Stephen King here...I'd much rather see a remake of "It" or "Pet Sematary"...which, they are remaking "It" and I so hope they go by the novel more than the first movie did because the novel is seriously one of the best novels I've ever read..definitely Stephen King's best. And then you got Pet Sematary which is just creepy as hell...and the original movie was good and creepy but it could be done so much better.

I'll most likely see this movie at the theater but it's not like I'm super excited about it I've seen the original Carrie a few times I think it's a pretty good movie and a story. As for the remake I think it'll be pretty good Chloe Cortez is a good actress and I'm guessing the movie will be set in the present time I've always thought that remakes of movies from 70's and 80's and bringing them into our present era was pretty cool.

I would have no issues with Hollywood doing all of these horror remakes if they just remade the movies that need to be remade. Movies like Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Child's Play, Hellraiser, ect. don't need to be remade ever...the originals were perfect the way they were. However, a movie like "It" needs to be remade seeing as how the original was a campy made for TV movie and the only thing good about it was Tim Curry's acting as Pennywise and seeing as how they left out a lot of scary and I mean scary and important parts that made the book so great. But Child's Play ? WTH ? Is that for real ? I mean, the original wasn't that scary to me, even as a kid BUT it was still a classic and had me LMAO constantly and the same goes for Child's Play 2 and 3...again, a movie like that doesn't need to be remade. And what's with Spider-Man already having a remake ? And they're already talking about remaking Batman...again.

Well, I was only talking about a remake of Part 1...Part 2 was horrid but good for comic relief..LOL "Where'd you hear about Batman being remade again? I've heard a lot talk about a new Batman remake on IMDB message boards..but so far it's only been stuff like "they're in talks of making a new remake and/or going in a different direction with Chris Nolan's Batman/Dark Knight movies" ect. And LOL @ Trey Songz...I hope he does bite the dust.

Adrian they better not remake Batman again. That **** would be very very redundant. I mean I like some of the one like TDK but the others not so much. And of the originals I liked part 1, returns and some parts of Forever.

I liked TDK as well but only because of Heath Ledger's Joker to be honest and I didn't like Batman Begins at all and I didn't really care for TDKR..I thought it was okay but that's about it. I really liked Burton's Batman and Batman Returns. And I'm with you, they really need to leave Batman alone at least for a little while.

They're classic, they're excellent movies. I support the idea of taking a classic movie's idea and expanding on it. In example, Insidious took practically the whole plot from Poltergeist. To me, the horror classics are the best movies ever, so I hate seeing these newer directors constantly fail with these remakes. Halloween, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street-remakes all sucked.

Zombie gave an excellent background on Michael Myers in Halloween, but it made him human. Anybody that knows the Halloween series knows that Myers in fact not human, but simply pure evil. As for the Friday the 13th remake. Since when is Part 1 with Jason? What the hell? But aside from that, I love how, finally, Jason runs and sets up traps. Although the ending is a huge slap in the face and the acting was dreadful. Don't get me started on the Nightmare on Elm Street. :D Insidious is alright, I guess. Not as scary as people make it out to be
