Just [strike]seen[/strike] saw the promo for the final season a while ago and I'm kinda bummed..... NOT! After season 2 it went downhill. They had a great run, though.
It was only a thumbnail so I couldn't get a bigger version but this may be one of my favorite pictures.

K not gonna lie.... I just saw the preview for Jersey Shore with the Boys II Men song Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday and got a little teared up..... can't wait for last season!
After the third season I lost interest it just got boring and repetitive. Probably not gonna watch this season but I'll read the episode summaries when it airs lol. Yeah buddy, cabs are here, take them away from Jersey Shore once and for all :)

Deena has helped to ruin the show. She's added nothing to do besides her first episode fight with Sammie. After that she provided no drama and just added her asinine merp thing and meatballs shtick. Her audition tape where it seems like she'd bring conflict is totally different from how she has been.
I completely disagree. I think people don't want to sound trendy so they are jumping on the bandwagon of "Ah yeah jersey shores so gay now **** them" when in reality if have been a viewer of the series as a whole there is always a whole lot of entertainment and interesting things happening each season. Deena was a great addition to the show, her 'helping ruining it' is BS. Adding her to the cast is adding another consistent girl who is down to party at all times and get wild (Sammie has never been wild, Snooki is now pregnant, JWOW is ehh not so wild anymore). They need someone like her to keep the show spunky and entertaining, to keep the party popping at all points! The party don't stop just because certain people wanna be the wet blanket in the house because they are in a relationship! Its go time!
Deena wasn't a bad choice because like dreamer said, she was down to party with them and spread the fun/crazyness. But it would have been better if it was a new girl not Snooki's friend. They needed someone who's a bigger attention ***** than Snooki to cause some drama.

I don't know if this was ever brought up on here but there's a podcast somewhere online where Deena explains how she was actually part of the original cast. Production put them into a hotel a couple days prior to moving into the house. Something happened back home and she got nervous and backed out at the last minute. This is when they brought in Angelina. Not sure exactly what happened but I think production might have been delayed a couple days because of this. Producers let the cast know what happened and then Snooki said something along the lines of "So Deena's not moving in anymore?" Producers weren't aware that they knew each other because Deena and Snooki thought it would hurt their chances of both getting on. So when Angelina left early two seasons in a row, production decided to drop her and asked Deena to come back. Since Deena and Snooki knew each other, they thought it would be cool to make it like Snooki was bringing her friend to the Shore house as the new replacement.

This sounds extremely plausible and I wouldn't be surprised if that is actually legit. I remember Angelina saying something similiar to that there were more people who tried out as well.
It's not impossible either as Deena was all of a sudden there by season 3. It is really strange though. However if it was indeed a new girl that would be good too. I can see the new girl being an outcast or playing second fiddle to the other characters while also not being in involved in the main drama.
Also, Vinny irks me. He loves to talk behind people's back.
It was this podcast.

And as for when the series went down hill. I think season 1 was by far the best, as soon as season 2 started that was the beginning of the end for me.
Deena brought no drama. She brough a tiresome merp meetball routine that got old real fast.
After Ronnie and Sam reconciled, the drama went away. The most fun seasons for the cast can be the least entertaining for the viewer.
Deena also said Snooki "called her to join the house" and that her and Snooki were best friends, yet she seemingly didn't know each other's friends like Ryder, so I take any backstory of hers with a grain of salt.

There will NOT be a new cast member.
Okay I don't like those commecials they've been showing using That Boyz 2 Men song...a very good song used for a show like this just seems disrespectful.
I think the reason why JS is struggling right now is because the cast is maturing. Not to mention, they are supposed to be partying and having fun but MTV fails to realize the cast actually has **** going on in their lives.

It's a mix of that and that it has run it course. How many times can we see everyone drunk and fighting? The only thing they could have done to save it was get an entire new cast. It is very possible they would have another hit, but I doubt they will do that.
I think if they had a new cast they would try to act like the old cast. Kind of like Laguna Beach season 3. Epic fail.
That's true. Maybe they can do a merger of new and old. Bring back Vinny, Ronny, Deena, and Sami. Then put 4 new people in the house. Familiar faces to get the same people watching and it gives them a chance for us to start liking new people.
