That's what I thought at first, but ultimately I don't think they are. If anything I think that was to throw us off thinking that they're following the book, when they really have other plans.
It was a GOOD episode. It made up for all the fillers.[spoiler] And when I thought Mona died I was sad. Then I found out it was Maya I almost teared up. Not really but my tv heart was aching for Emily.[/spoiler]

I completely believe that there is more to it, but it just bothered me how similar this episode was to the books when they said that it wasn't going to be like the books.

It does bother me that the only "A" that they revealed is the one that is common knowledge in the PLL community. It feels like they just wanted to get that one out of the way. I'm interested to see what direction they take with Allison's twin. I'm thinking that she really is the one that Spencer saw, and maybe even Emily.
I don't think she does, but I REALLY hope that Dr. Sullivan has nothing to do with "A". For whatever reason, I really like her!

agreed. i watched this show on and off for the entirety of it, i was hoping for a really cool ending but that ending was lame. It was a great series and the writers were incredible throughout the 7 years but that ending was super disappointing to me.

I always considered it as a comedy despite its serious tone, which was what made it so funny in the first place. The ending was stupid ? How about the rest of the show, since I can only imagine it got even more idiotic after I stopped watching it. 7 seasons though...I gotta say I'm impressed by how much they stretched this it-can all-be-resolved-in-one-minute plot.
Currently rewatching this cuz i stopped after season 5...and let's talk about how I felt then, watching live.. Vs now.
Then: omg aria and ezra are so cute. They belong together! I want them to be endgame.
Now: OMG aria and ezra are so disgusting. This relationship is wrong and illegal. Ezra needs to be jailed for life.
Then: Noel Kahn is such an evil person for trying to ruin the ezria relationship.
Now: NOEL KAHN IS SO UNDERRATED. He was the only person to say that the ezria pairing was wrong. We were made to hate Noel but love ezra. NOEL AND ARIA SHOULD HAVE BEEN ENDGAME.
Then: Aria is my favorite character!
Now: HANNA IS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER!
Then: Ew I hate Mona.
Now: WOW, Mona is an ICON.
They should have made this into something to learn from and ezra should have been A. IF not one of the liars, it really should have been creepy ezra.

The final episode felt like a Wattpad fan fiction and was highly rushed.
I have yet to see it but I heard there's a pip pip cheerio accent that kills the entire vibe.
