I used to have screencaps saved of the title cards for each season.
My favorite (title cards) were London, Boston, Seattle, Hawaii, Chicago, Paris, San Diego, Key West, Cancun, DC, B2 New Orleans, B2 Las Vegas, B2 San Diego
I think Back to San Diego had the best intro! It was just so different...the music, the slow-motion, and the bright colours...it actually looked really nice and intriguing...sucks it was for a terrible season lol
My favorite season of the Real World is Austin. That was the first season I had ever watched. I really wish MTV would play reruns of older seasons or at least put them up online because I've been dying to see the first San Diego season. I've seen bits and pieces and I loved it.

They might. I remember a couple of weeks ago I was on Hulu looking for old seasons, and I was scrolling through Key West, but they accidentally put an Austin episode on there, so I thought why not? I'll check it out. It was the episode when Danny's mom died, I had heard about it before, but watching it was really sad. If they have that one episode on MTV.com, I'm sure they might have other ones on there. :)
Speaking of Danny, what exactly was he like on RW? I don't like too much on the Challenges, and seeing him that episode of RW just showed me a completely different guy. Was he nice on the show, and then on the challenges he had a Bananas-like transition? (Even though Bananas came after him, but still)

I loved Danny on Austin. On the reunion many of his roommates said he was completely different on the show then outside of the show. They claimed he put on an act towards the cameras. The reunion is actually on youtube.
So I know this is the age-old question when casting, etc. for a new season is going on, but what are everybody's thoughts on a possible location for next season?
I'm actually only asking because I'm wondering if people are in the same boat as me. That boat being that the past two seasons (San Diego and St. Thomas) have been in a warmer, more "tropical" location, so I'm hoping the next season is a change of pace from that. Something like going back to Chicago, or Boston, or something along those lines. Now I don't know when they plan on filming (Fall/Winter/Spring), but in general I think it'd be nice to move back to a more city atmosphere. Not even necessarily urban, but just not so... summery? Just curious if anybody else had the same thoughts.

I have no idea what they may do. I think Amsterdam would be cool...b2Chicago would be cool because I am from there haha...

There are two locations that pop up on the Internet. Both are in the northwest quarter of the US. Both are urban, both are close to mountain ranges

Maybe something like San Francisco or Seattle? Not sure if either are the cities you're alluding to, but those would both fall into the type of location I'd like to see. Or Portland for something new.
I'm actually surprised they haven't gone to Vancouver or Toronto yet, as far as outside the US goes.
A friend of mine who lives in Portland said the Real World is coming there. We know how valid most of those statements are, but since we are speculating, I thought I would throw it out there.

The City of Portland film commission had denied it was TRW that was coming, but BMP apparently is doing something there soon. It is also possible that city officials lie, but in a activist place like Portland, that does not seem wise for a city official to do.

Well it may not technically be a lie if the permit is issued in the name of a subsidiary production company like "Good Luck Vevmo Productions, LLC" that nobody would be asking about filming a show with the working title "The No Matter What Don't Let Your Friends & Family Friend Molds13 Show. "

I believe that is called a quibble. Quibbling is an expulsion offense at the US Air Force Academy. I would hope the voters in Portland would take it as seriously.

I doubt it. Maybe they are doing a tie-in with Little People Big World LOL.
Seriously though, I wish I remembered the details now but when I first saw that BMP was looking to hire somebody in Portland, I also saw something elsewhere about another reality show they were working on but I forget. I think it maybe had something to do with aspiring models but I cannot be certain now if that was theirs or somebody else's. I also have not heard where their online teen version of TMZ show will be set. They started advertising around June for several higher level freelance production people (producers and the like) for "an established reality show" with NYC as the location, but I assumed that would be some Kardashian variation. I'll try to keep a better records but I have found little slivers here and there about BMP seeming to have a lot going on in development beyond just their current shows and the new hospital talk show.
Over the last few seasons, BMP has never had any Real World-related job postings as coming from BMP. All of the job postings are from a "confidential" company.
That could be your first clue.

That's why I am here Fishhooks. To remember for you.

Unfortunately the world is now discovering their FB privacy settings because I used to look more for things like "I'm so tired from installing the kitchen in the new Real World house" type posts but those are getting impossible to find as everybody is becoming friends only users.

I remembered those ones, but thanks. I was referencing more that I could not remember the details of a show that I saw was in development by BMP which made me think, "Well that could be what BMP is doing in Portland I suppose" I've seen some posts by people who thought they were interviewing for RW only to find out it was something else they were called in for.
Not sure if anyone posted this somewhere else or not but RW NOLA 2 is on vintage MTV.
What is vintage MTV? I just get plain old regular MTV and that is it. I don't get any of the other MTV channels

I used to get MTV and MTV2. Those were the days...
I used to get MTV and MTV2. Those were the days...
Doesn't it feel like just last week when you used to get MTV and MTV2?
vintage MTV is on on demand/fios/whatever you have.... not a regular channel
Thanks. We have xfinity but I have never figured out how to do that stuff. Every time I try fooling around with those features, I end up in the subbasement of a submenu having a panic attack about what the **** I may have just ordered by accident, and I end up unplugging the box and letting it reprogram just to figure out how to escape.
You go to on demand > TV networks > MTV > Vintage MTV > Real World NOLA.
It only costs money if it says its 5.99 etc. If it says free you're good to watch it.
I would like to see Amsterdam, but it may be too mellow and they are cracking down on foreigners in the pot shops. I would still rather see them do something that is so totally unexpected by the cast that it creates a lot of high emotions--whatever that is IDk--make them share 1 room barracks style, live under the big top, travel with a carnival, work at a zoo--something other than "Here sit in the crazy house on your fat butt for 4 months where you get free booze from the clubs while we film you blow everything out of proportion because you know that's what we show."

In the very least, if this is the direction they are going to go, then give them some hard drugs.
