I went to record the series today on my DVR and noticed that tonight they are doing a first look for the season. I believe it said 10pm for me, which is Central time, so it should be 11 Eastern. But now I can't remember. Either way, just thought I'd pass along the information for those interested. :)

The 'first look' thing is tonight at 11 pm EST, so you are right, it 10 central.
I actually am feeling optimistic about as far as ratings for this season, the previews are making it seem kind of like Cancun, they're in a more tropical touristy destination, it's airing in the summer, the cast looks crazy, and I think this season has potential. Cancun did well in ratings, correct? I know it started really low, but if I remember correctly it did well by the end. 'Party' seasons like Las Vegas (both), Cancun and possibly this tend to do better in ratings than 'serious' seasons like Brooklyn and DC.
Since it is the first 10 minutes, my guess is what you'll see is them meeting in the US and then heading off to St. Thomas. It makes me wonder though if they withheld the destination until revealing it to them once they were together in the US. Something about the first preview made me think that may have been the case but I am not certain now.
Since it is the first 10 minutes
My DVR shows it to be 6 minutes as does zap2it (where DirecTV pulls their guide data.)
It will be a 5 minute preview according to the twitter feeds of the cast members.
It keeps getting shorter!
By the time it actually airs it will be two 1 minute trailers with a three minute commercial for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter shoved in the middle, haha.
I think the season actually looks promising from the "First Look."
I liked that they got to meet before heading out to the Virgin Islands and the four cast members they showcased at least makes me want to watch the first episode.
I'm so freakin mad at myself right now. I had the TV on, on MTV, but I was too damn busy looking at the computer screen doing complete nonsense, then I look up at the TV and they're showing the END of the first look, the opening credits! URGHHHHHHH! Someone just shoot me right now! (Well don't, cause then I'll never get to see the season, lol, but yeah, that's how I feel right now)

I agree, the first look was cool. It offered a nice little taste of the cast member's world before the crazy.
If anyone wants to see the first look MTV has it posted on their website now.
I added it to the first post in the thread.

5 minutes 36 seconds long, it's up on mtv.com right now! About to check it out.
lol or check the video posted right above me.
Ah I am beyond excited for tomorrow night! I think this cast looks so fun and I really do think it's going to be a great season. I don't why but this cast reminds me of the Las Vegas cast. They all seem so fun and intriguing. I think like Las Vegas did, this season is going to bring the real world back.
I like it, so far...I get the vibe that this cast is something special.
I agree!! I liked that little clip a lot- Robb and Marie seemed to click right away, Toya seems more outgoing than what I was expecting, and Trey actually seems like a cool guy. But of course this was just a few minutes so that can change quickly.
I'm really excited!!!!
The sneak-peek made me more interested. I have been dreading that this season will be like San Diego (which was the only season I hadn't watch fully since Philly).
I already know that Marie is going to be an AMAZING character. I think LaToya could be a great character or she could end up being boring. Robb looks...different and Trey reminds me of Johnny Bananas
I can't wait to see where the drama comes from this season! Laura seems like a sweetheart, but maybe Brandon and Trey butt heads a little over her. Then it looks like Marie really doesn't like Swift, and doesn't Toya argue with him too? I think this season is gonna be great!
They all looked really fun! My only complaint is that in the intro, they don't show them as they're speaking.
It has been like that for every season...
It has been like that for every season...
The intro used to have the voice of whoever was on the screen saying a line. I think they stopped doing that after New Orleans 2. It used to bother me at first, but it's not too big of a deal.
I'm very excited for this season! Also, I have a random question. On the information for this on my TV Guide while it was on, it said it was a sneak peek for the 27th season of The Real World (Reality; 30 mins.) Do you think they will go back to 30 minute episodes, or could this mean something else? (I guess we'll find out pretty soon haha)
I think MTV is starting to take more pride in the Real World agean ever since Las Vdgas 2, and Rivals. I mean look how they're tying this season with its other big shows like Teen Wolf, and Awkward, with the whole summer line-up thing that's been working for them these past 2 years.

TVguide.com has it as one hour episodes though I wish they would go back to 30 minutes.
