I believe the ratings tell a different story.
It was the cast, if anything the format brought that season back. The fact that next none of the cast had past beef yet the season probably had the most backstabbing, arguing and just shady moves says something for the format.
well Battle of the Seasons is DEFINITELY out of the way....

Camila on-route to her check-up...
The more time passes the more do I think what I said in my previous post.... by this point it HAS to be that or a completely new format..
I see completely alternative logic pointing to an entirely different conclusion.
Please define "season" then think about how one could now redefine it. MTV does have a few creative minds at play here. You may be thinking inside a small, familiar box while they are playing around in a much bigger box. I don't fault you for your logic, but sometimes youth and inexperience lead one to erroneous conclusions. Sometime what you don't know is as important as what you think you know from the past.
BTW, IMHO, Camilla is no more "in" than BOS as a viable basic premise is "out."
A battle of the season wouldn't necessarily require two people from each season...It could only involve one.
But that would actually be a Duel.... OR a NEW FORMAT.. which I mentioned in my post, meaning, IT could not be called BOS3..or it could but what would be the logic in that...lol
Edit: there are supposed to be multiple people from the same season on this challenge how would that go down?...

I meant to mention this in my last post, but I could see "season" as being a challenge, i.e. Fresh Meat, which we've already seemed to agree could constitute season, but also could be any challenge in which the two people appeared together. Or at least in Camilla's case specifically, they could bring in another Spring Break Challenger (which would help them out in terms of getting more new blood, too, for the future).
There are lots of ways they could split things up. Some that come to mine are: bringing in casts from other MTV shows as a surprise since nobody would be looking for spoilers from them; an age divide between teams; teams based on the ratings of their seasons; RW v. RR v. Fresh Meat v. New Fresh Meat; Boys v. Girls with some of the other components already mentioned added in; Rookie v. Vets v. Fresh Meat. Until we have a good idea of several likely challengers, it is hard to connect the dots and end up with a real straight line to a theme. That probably won't come to us mere mortals until people simultaneously disappear from social networking or third parties start tweeting things like"Hey, I just ran into X, Y, and Z from MTV at the harbor"
I just have a feeling and I have no idea why, but I believe this is going to be The Ruins 2
I really want a Ruins II too, but I know thats not going to happen.
Mainly because Paula is in a sense, an MTV success story. She did 7 challenges and lost again and again until she finally won her eighth. So she would undoubtedly a shoo in. but with Bananas, Paula and Tyler not being on this challenge that takes out 3 people that now they have to find a replacement for, and the pool of winners isnt that big.
Wouldn't an age divide between teams be ageism?
That would mean battle of the sexes was sexism, so no, it's not. Ageism would be denying the right to play because they are too old, not having and old team versus a new team

Not necessarily...
And I didn't know other reality shows did it and everyone was cool with it.
Survivor also did a season where teams were divided by race, haha. I don't think it was that big of a deal but I didn't watch the show so I'm not sure if other people had a problem with it.

If I remember correctly, I think there was controversy over dividing the tribes by race. I thought it was one of the best seasons though.
Okay. Here it is semi-official. In January there was a tweet that the next Challenge would be filmed in Newport, Rhode Island, beginning June 27. With much skepticism I have not given out that location and hinted at the date. Apparently it is an issue with neighbors but that is where they are trying for:
Voila a 2003 article

Survivor did that? That's freaking hilarious. Could you imagine if BMP did that? The Challenge: Battle of the Races.
Anyway, on a serious note, they already have that lawsuit with Tonya, and doing a challenge based on skin color could be really bad for PR, so it's very unlikely that they'd do that, even if they tried to make it as PC as possible. And on a practical note, the cast isn't diverse enough to do that, unless they did it Cutthroat style.

LOL. When the discussion started i was trying to remember if there would be enough African-Americans alums still around to fill out half a Challenge cast. I'd rather see a Team Man-Hating Lesbians v. Scared White Boys Challenge.

Middletown, really??.. lol..
Middletown, really??.. lol..
Apparently in 2003 it was a good idea. The lady who tweeted the date and location must not have seen the date on her source because she otherwise really struck me as credible--no apparent link to the show/its cast; lots of unrelated tweets and real-friend-type people followers. I believed it a long time to be true until I found that article just based on how legit she seemed as a single source, which is my cautionary tale for those not content with Molds' thoroughness.
That forum is absolute trash. I think I even saved a screenshot of them using the vevmo water marked cast pictures. Is it even safe to go to that website even if you don't have an account?
Carley lives in Nebraska and she took a "random" trip to LA....location for all the testing?

probably wishful thinking, but I sure would LOVE to see her do another one.
That could very well mean Carley is on the next challenge. When people say they are going to Los Angeles to do things for the day, it could mean they are going to do a physical and do their tests.
I really want to see a 2 or 3 team challenge.

NYC and Atlanta too:D
Would they really need to fly people out to LA for a physical?
Anyways, could someone explain the Ruins format to me like I'm a three year old?
Wasn't the last Ruins really lopsided, even worse than Gauntlet 3?
Was that the season where only Sarah and Kelly Anne competed in the finale against a pretty stacked "Champions" team?

Your memory serves you correctly. That is indeed the season you're speaking of.
NYC and Atlanta too:D
I didn't know about Atlanta, unless the smile means you're being facetious? If Atlanta is indeed a location for testing, then I'm pretty sure this means something:

The 8th seems to be when ppl were in NYC, too. Also of note is that Rachel R, who seems to tweet at least once each day, was absent from twitter on the 8th, as well - and I assume since she and CJ are both in FL, they would have both gone to the ATL testing (if there was one).
This just further adds to the Battle of the Seasons idea, since I specifically checked those 2 people's twitters, based on the speculation that Jasmine and Shane would be on.
We'll see!

It could also mean countless other things.
1) Are there no doctors in Nebraska qualified to administer a physical exam? Of course there are.
2) The MMPI can be administered by qualified psychologists. There are a bunch in Nebraska, according to my friend, Google. Maybe Brooke La Barbara could travel around the country next time as a consultant and do them for BMP.
The above is not to suggest that Carley is not on the next challenge. I have no idea. I don't think, however, that BMP wastes its precious coin to unnecessarily fly someone to/from LA. There is nothing in the casting process for any reality show that can't be done remotely or by FedEx except when the production company doesn't know the potential cast member. Clearly they know Carley.

I am from Providence, Rhode Island and have been to Newport numerous times and don't get me wrong there are mansions there that definitely have the challenge-esque look to them, but lets be honest, for a real world to film in the house it would maybe work, but for a challenge? I don't think so, where would they go? And I've heard that BMP was supposed to film The Gauntlet in RI before they moved to Telluride.
