The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Reunion

Seriously then what's the importance of the reunion if they are not going to show the "dirty stuff" like they said? IMO they wasted so much time on Johnny and Camila, that was a blind point since the beginning, they just should talk about their winning. Also, they wasted time on Paula (again), I don't even know why she was there. It's always the same in every reunion. There was so much to discuss that I really wanna know: the Rachel/Mark situation, the real status of Diem/CT because they barely talk, and honestly they didn't clear anything, the fights, I was really hoping to hear Robin and not looking like a crazy with that edit. I just don't see why they wasted so much on Johnny. I don't hate the guy, but I'm tired of him, give him a break.
I thought the whole show was edited very poorly. The entire Paula exchange looked awful. Obviously they wanted to get as much crammed into the hour show as possible, but the bits and pieces that were thrown in from different points in the Paula 'meltdown' portion made it thoroughly confusing to follow. I also agree that they wasted far too much time on Johnny and Camila nothingness, which is odd to say because Johnny is one of my favorites.
Frankly, if one is a fan of the Challenges, I think one should watch the Reunion. Just because the content disappointed me, doesn't mean that it's not worth watching. I just think it could have been a spectacular and very discussion-initiating show. The edit just left me flat. The rather short length of this thead tells me that it wasn't that noteworthy for most of vevmo's regular members, as well.
I'm sure I'll end up watching it after I'm through with everything else in my queue. Baseball starts this week so that eats up several hours of my TV time. Maybe because I've seen enough of the characters these people play on TV, I feel like (based on what everyone else is saying happened) there was no ground broken in this reunion and I could have imagined up an hour of reunion in my head and it would be pretty close to what really happened. Doesn't sound very promising/entertaining with the same ol', same ol'. Miz is host so I'm sure it's AWESOME anyway.
Miz is a cool personality and he did a better job than I ever could as host. That being said, he dropped the ball a little bit. He asked good questions, He had confidence and was easy to listen to, but part of hosting is being the leader of discussion and when they started talking over each other the Miz should have stopped it and then directed the discussion by getting one person to speak at a time. He tried to do it where Paula was concerned he kept trying to get what Paula wanted to say, but I think that was a waste. I think if Miz had done the same thing where Rachel and Mark were concerned, made everyone shut up and then say I want to hear what Rachel has to say or it looks like Aneesa has something to say let her finish then we can move on to you. Miz is not a bad host, but this is why I like Maria better. Yes they will talk over each other its inevitable, but Maria seems to have better control over the process. She probably has more practice with it. I of course don't blame it all on the Miz. Obviously editing and what production wanted him to ask and focus on are a big part. But I think where crowd control is concerned I think he could have done better. (Guys a big pro wrestler though, probably didn't care to know all the dets that much anyway hahaha can't blame him.)

The reunion is a couple hours long, and they cut it down. Which kind of sucks because they cut out all the drama for reason idk.

They reunion show was so bad from what I saw of it, I didn't bother trying to catch the repeat. Paula was just too Paula and the host seemed like he may have been on percs or something--just horribly detached looking all over the place.
Molds' spoiler post about the reunion was much more interesting than the actual show. Besides that, it was cool seeing Miz return as a host for these things. An okay end to a good season.

An okay end to a good season.
I was thinking the same thing like five minutes ago as I was watching the reunion online. With the exception of Paula talking for an hour - I would love to see everything else that happened that night. That's why I wish mtv would release the challenges on DVD so we could see some special features or at least the "unrated" or "director's cut" version of the reunion. Alas, I know that won't happen.
Yeah this reunion was just garbage. I hate who the select to appear anyway. Johnny needs to be quiet sometimes as well.
That scooter guy should talk to the producers of the Bravo Housewives. Those reunions are the best!
Just watched the reunion a bit earlier today and I have to agree with the people that said it was dull. I enjoyed the way Maria guided the conversations and topics and it really didn't seem to flow well with The Miz, granted, editing could easily have messed that up to a degree. In any case, the only noteworthy thing I enjoyed was Robin defending herself and snapping on Johnny, and staying strong throughout what we saw (She may have cried in a part of the taping that wasn't shown, who knows), especially earlier when she was initially talking about feeling isolated, she started to choke up a bit. I genuinely enjoy her on these challenges, but she should strongly consider what's best for her in the long run. I'm sure she doesn't need to be told this though. If she decides to do any more, I'll be very happy to see her and hope that she does well/finally wins one.
That scooter guy should talk to the producers of the Bravo Housewives. Those reunions are the best!
They just need to do what Bad Girl Club does. They literally have a 2 part reunion with nothing but yelling and girls beating each other up!
They just need to do what Bad Girl Club does. They literally have a 2 part reunion with nothing but yelling and girls beating each other up!
So...Diem, Aneesa, Rachel, and Camila beating up Johnny? I...like the sound of that.
Reunion sucked. No Rachel & Robin & way too **** much johnny and that partner of his. Where was the spoilers about what went on during the entire show. I'd rather just have read that than wasted my hour on that boring ****.

Soooo not worth watching? I searched my tv for upcoming Battle of the Exes reruns to catch the reunion and there are no Exes episodes at all coming up, it's been wiped off the tv schedules already entirely.
I feel like all show is becoming "show Johnny Bananas". Half a past **** they should have shown was about him, now reunion... I mean I would understand if there's some really interesting drama about him but there was so much more topics wich they could talk about. I don't get MTV position on this. They never didn't give so much attention for winners. It just sucks.

No worries I bet it will come on MTV2 eventually.

Seems to me that Tyler just sat back and acted all cool and was a lot less Tyler-ish during those seasons he won so they didn't have as much of his content to work with.
I just joined to post and say that I was at the reunion and I cannot believe how badly edited it was! They barely showed any of the fights and the whole Paula break down was 10 times worse than what was aired. I don't understand why the producers decided to NOT show the drama.

If it wouldn't be too much trouble, I think readers would be interested in these subject areas: - Discussion of Mark possibly throwing his elimination event vs. Johnny because they had an agreement, and Robin's reaction. (It might illuminate things with regard to someone calling her crazy.) - The producer yelling at the cast. - People walking off set. - The "fights," if not included in the above. - More on the CT-Diem situation. - How long Paula's meltdown lasted and suggestions that she may again have some issues that surfaced during RW: Key West. Heck, just anything else you want to tell us.
So was the challenge renewed? Sorry I don't know where to post that question and Ive been out of the loop for a few weeks. I didn't even watch the whole reunion just the last part and after reading the comments I guess that's a good thing cause most seemed to hate it lol and I too would not like to hear anymore about Johnny/Camilla.

I didn't read the spoilers so I'm not sure if this is redundant and my memory isn't the best but I'll give it a try! - Regarding Mark throwing challenges/working with Johnny: Mark and Johnny both gave pretty weak denials about the situation. They said that they are friends outside of the game but they never had any sort of deal. Robin said she didn't know but wouldn't be surprised if they did split the money. Robin didn't seem that upset about it though. I think Miz was the one who brought it up in the first place, everyone else just kind of agreed with him. - The producer yelling at the cast. - this definitely did happen about 4 1/2 hours into taping. This was after the Paula breakdown and Miz was trying to ask her questions and everyone just kept yelling/interrupting each other. Finally the producer came out and told everyone to shut up, let one person answer at a time and just keep the show moving. The cast were visibly restless/annoyed/tired and wanted to leave at this point. - People walking off set. - Paula and Robin both walked off set. This was brutal to watch. When they got to the Paula/Ty segment, Paula kept calling herself a 'super *****' and a bad person and ty was pretty much being a **** to her. The crying was so much worse than it appeared on tv - she was hyperventilating and couldn't speak and the Miz kept trying to ask her questions and she couldn't manage to get a word out. Finally a producer came out and told Paula to leave and compose herself. This was after about 20 straight minutes of her crying. For whatever reason after Paula walked off Robin left too without saying a word. Robin's mic was still on so you could hear her talk from backstage but I don't remember what she was saying or who she was talking to. While they were both off stage, everybody was just talking/fighting with each other. Finally a producer came out and told the Miz to continue with the show, even though Paula and Robin weren't there. - The fights from what I can remember: Robin and Diem fought because Robin thought Diem was her friend and was upset at her for her sending her into the dome. The Robin and Paula fight was longer than what they showed on tv and Robin was crying. Johnny and Robin had a constant thing going on, Johnny kept throwing digs and saying how crazy Robin was all night. They didn't show Camila crying over Johnny. Ty and CT got into a fight that I thought could turn physical. It seemed like they have some sort of personal issue with each other and they were threatening each other, I don't really remember why that started. Aneesa and CT was the most random fight of the night. This was during a break in filming and Aneesa started going off on CT, something about how they used to be friends and how CT would stay over at Aneesa's house when he's in her town. Aneesa said that CT uses coke and did it earlier that day before the reunion filming and called his girlfriend a ******. Aneesa said she has a love/hate relationship with CT, that they are friends but he ****** her off all the time. CT didn't really say much when this was going on, he was just smirking the entire time. - More on the CT-Diem situation. - I don't recall there being anything that interesting with CT and Diem. - How long Paula's meltdown lasted and suggestions that she may again have some issues that surfaced during RW: Key West. - Emily commented how Paula is way too skinny, looks bad and needs to eat. She said it to herself/to Ty but I was sitting in the front so I could hear her. None of the other cast members heard her or said anything about it. - Other comments: I thought Johnny was weirdly quiet and unhappy. He looked bored and didn't really speak unless he was directly asked a question. He got yelled at by a producer for texting during filming. I felt so bad for Robin, nobody talked to her. During the breaks everyone but Robin would get up and mingle or leave and take a bathroom/drink break but Robin would stay on her couch and she didn't talk to anybody. She didn't seem sad, just out of place. Aneesa, Camila, CT and Ty talked the most and kept butting into other people's conversations. They always had something to say. CT was hilarious though, he was one of the few who seemed to be enjoying themselves. I've read some complaints about the Miz and I thought he did a great job! He watches the show (he's seen every episode) and knew what was going on. He rarely messed up with the teleprompter and asked a lot of good questions that were not aired. He said he wouldn't do another challenge because he has no time but he loved doing the shows and loves watching it. If you have any other questions I can try to answer!
@smile Thanks for the info, do you remember why Robin/Paula were fighting? And the editing didnt make Ty look like he was being a **** so thats interesting, the Anessa/CT thing is strange since they were so friendly during the after shows.

So did they make the audience sit on those awful wooden benches?
@ Smile Diem has mentioned on twitter that there was an "intervention" about the finals. What is she talking about? My first thought was they were encouraging CT to stop smoking.??? "Aneesa said that CT uses coke and did it earlier that day before the reunion filming and called his girlfriend a ******. " Are you saying that CT called his girlfriend a name or Aneesa called her a name? Did they ask if any of them (besides Mark) would come back for the next season if asked?
Johnny mentioned in an interview that the show has a zero tolerance drug policy.
