Yea Priscilla is in the background of the Tyrie and Jasmine fight too lol, they're really gonna stretch the first week drama for about 2 more episodes.
Lol oh yeah she was there judging by what people were wearing, I didnt see her in the sneek peek though, people would be like wtf shes back?! Has anyone seen the actual preview for next week on tv? Usually the online exclusive doesnt show the main plot of the episode it just shows some random stuff that happens within the 1st 10 minutes.
We know next week is about the Vinny thing
and hopefully they have time to show the Ty/CT fight since it was in the trailer. Also maybe people are not talking about the CT thing because they dont remember? Like I cant expect them to recall what happened when they were all hammered during the incident. On the ruins Brad said he didnt know what to say to Darrel after the show because he couldn't remember what the fight was about lol.
In the 15 minute producer's cut of the premier that was posted on MTV.com, it showed the cast voting on yearbook superlatives for each other. One of them included "Most Likely to Star in ****", and Johnny went around telling everyone to vote for Dustin. When Dustin saw his name and all the votes, he laughed and asked who put his name there and then voted for himself saying that he deserved to win or something.
Okay. Thanks. I saw that but some of the comments made me think there was something else I may have missed. I recall seeing that they had some list up on the wall saying something like "Challenge Twitter" and I thought maybe there was another something I may have missed in one of the podcasts that I seldom listen to.
I've only had time to read about half of this thread, but I must say, the most disturbing thing about it is that some people seem to think the episode was named after a Jordin Sparks song (when it is obviously actually named after Pat Benatar's song). This officially marks the first time I've felt truly old. And I'm only 26.
The difference is Wes and Ty's editing is supported by cast members opinions of them and other inside tidbits they give us, whereas with CT's edit, things are conveniently left out that some cast members tend to bring up on social medias.
I think CT’s edit in past seasons was accurate. They showed him as a violent psycho. CT’s good guy edit just started last season. Even then, they showed him screaming at Wes. Another interesting tidbit from Leroy is that he said “the girls acted like they were scared or whatever, maybe they were.” It doesn’t surprise me that Cara Maria said that she was right in the middle of it and it was her who leaked it out. Jenn maybe an unreliable source at best but from what I’ve seen from Cara Maria, I think it’s very likely that she writes scenarios in her notebook and tries to execute them to feed her attention addiction. Her fight with CT last season got her some good airtime. It’s only the first episode and people are already up in arms about a serious incident that should have been included to spice up this week’s boring episode because it is CT’s “real, honest” edit. Maybe it wasn’t CT’s “real, honest” edit because this whole incident was planned.
I'm crossing my fingers that the Pat Benatar version will be the opening credits song.
After the debacle that was last season's intro, I wouldn't be surprised if there are no opening credits
After the debacle that was last season's intro, I wouldn't be surprised if there are no opening credits
I liked last season's intro. I hate the long drawn out ones that are decent the first time but just get annoying after having to watch it for every episode.

I don't think anyone was truly buying CT's good guy edit on Rivals like he is this whole new person. They saw him yell at Wes, yell at CM, the only "good guy" thing he did was he was there for Adam and was nice and supportive of him and was trying to make amends. He did seem to really give Adam confidence in himself as it went on through his support. So not even sure it was that much of a "good guy" edit. I think Wes jsut makes himself look that bad, which in turn made CT look better, but doesn't Wes purposely do that? Everyone basically said he was going out of his way to make sure he showed people he was different on Rivals, so a lot of stuff he probably wanted to go off on but did his best not to and usually doesn't care. He couldn't even go a whole show without an incident, even though he was trying to control himself. He still yelled at Wes for 7 hrs. That is not normal to do. He is still the same guy, only difference is he is/was TRYING to change and he was trying to be Adam's friend instead of enemy. So some good came out of that in that he treated Adam like a person and was good to him on Rivals, but part of it was to help himself too. But i think he wanted to make amends regardless in some way. But his behavior has really not changed very much, he still has an out of control violent side to him that won't go away in a day. Maybe it's just on the challenges in a competitive setting, i don't know. Everyone who ever says they know him off the show say how chill he is away from the camera. But I think being drunk in that house is probably what causes him to go from temper to ridiculousness. Maybe he realizes 7 hr standoff with Wes equals being invited back and he knows Wes is scared of him and he can take him. But to me anytime he is really drunk, expect him to rage that seems to be what does it. I think a big difference is he wanted to make up with Adam, not sure he wants to make amends with Diem, I think he just wants to win. But that's a bad move, hard to do well on missions if you do not communicate.

I think all of the incidents on G3 happened when he had a drink in one hand, was drunk when he hit Davis, drunk when he yelled at Cara Maria and I think they were all drunk during the duel 2 fight and Wes said they were wasted during the stand off thing. Wes mentioned that in his couple interview how when CT gets drunk he turns into a "bat**** crazy person that needs help" lol and no one gets along with him when he's like that but when he's sober he's nice, I think that summed it up pretty well. I think his only sober argument was the duel elimination when him and Wes started yelling at each other, but whatever its understandable that he was frustrated at the moment, and on the aftershow/reunion they were both fine with each other.
Somewhere I can't help but wonder if part of the reason why Wes was thrown under the bus was because of how he punked out Johnny on national TV during the Ruins. When he and Eve were going nuts he kept getting in Johnny's face and barking out at him which made him jump a few times and spill his drink on himself. That's very embarrassing, especially since Wes was laughing in his face about it. I know that was a long time ago but to get embarrassed like that on TV.... I don't think Johnny is above a little revenge. At the very least I don't think the incident helped Wes. Funny thing about Wes is he's all rah rah rah in the interviews or when he is comfortable but as soon as he gets put in a bad spot he gets all quiet and normal. It's like he's Mr cocky one second and then he's just regular guy who has to worry about going home. He seems to drop character pretty quickly when he's in trouble.
They gave her a rather cold welcome in the first four comments that were posted.
It really isn't that interesting or insightful other than it is by Coral.
I was hoping it would be longer and more detailed. Plus she barely even gave her opinion on things.
I was hoping it would be longer and more detailed. Plus she barely even gave her opinion on things.
What was she supposed to give her opinion on? I barely have an opinion on the first episode. It wasn't the most exciting premier. I do wish she would've gave her opinion on all the teams. Hopefully once the season heats up, it'll be longer.

Damn, the internet is not kind. They ripped her a new one. That's pretty cold blooded.
They gave her a rather cold welcome in the first four comments that were posted.
First 4? you guys thats hardly a diss.
First 4? you guys thats hardly a diss.
At the time I wrote the above there were ONLY four comments and all were negative. Sometimes it helps if one makes the effort to read in context. UPDATE: After just about a day, there are now 12 comments in total and the bashing of people who comment has begun. The general tenor of comments remains highly negative. Her next blog should be "killer" and be posted as close to tomorrow's episode as is possible. She can write a good blog, assuming it really is hers and not MTV-written under her name. That's happened before with interns posting under other case member names until vevmo called them out for it.
That she only has 4 comments is probably a bigger offense than what any of them says.
Not necessarily. In fact, nobody is really reading anything in that section it seems like.
Find it hilarious that Diem is so hostile & bitter towards CT when he is the one who should justifiably fly off the handle on her. She breaks up with him...tells him she'll come out to see him during his brother's funeral and not only doesn't show up but doesn't even let him know that she won't be able to make it...and she's going to cry over the fact that he hooked up with a chick after all of this and when they were not even dating? How anybody who knows what went on there & sees how she acts on the shows can't think she's not a self-entitled spoiled brat needs their head examined. Even on the first episode, she makes a snotty little gesture to CT & Mandi while they were talking, as if she still thinks CT is her property or something.

The gesture was completely out of context. You know better than to rely on the edit. B. Would you like to recommend someone to do the examination?

I've always wondered if their break up had something to with her cancer maybe making it impossible/unlikely for her to have kids. Don't know that is the case, but she did mention only having half an ovary.
She broke up with him. He didn't break up with her.
I understand that, but in my experience sometimes break ups by one person are the result of opinions/actions of the other that lead the breaker to end ties when they see there is no future. For instance, "I'd never marry someone who couldn't have kids" might result in a "Then why the heck am I still in this relationship? See ya" or something like that.
I was hoping it would be longer and more detailed. Plus she barely even gave her opinion on things.
I agree with this. It was my first thought. It was like a quick recap. I also think she didn't use the name of the column that she picked from a fan on Twitter? Can't exactly remember what she picked, but I thought that wasn't it. That made me wonder if MTV edited what she wrote or if she was limited in what she could write.
What was she supposed to give her opinion on? Hopefully once the season heats up, it'll be longer.
But I also agree with this. This was my thought after thinking about this. Yes, I'm not blogging on it, but if a few fans of the show who generally really follow the show don't have much to say about an episode, I can imagine Coral possibly watching the show from home and thinking there wasn't much to talk about. Maybe it wasn't very interesting to her. I think she should have some insight from a couple of the people who were on the challenge to delve into certain situations further - give them some kind of brief interview featurette within the column. Maybe if she has done a similar mission on a previous challenge to the one that is done on the episode, she could relate her experience (that might come across as being too self centered, though). Actually, better yet would be for her to give comments during a replay of the episode later in the week. Since this doesn't seem to be likely, hopefully she will come up with more things the next time. Episode two provided a bit more action...
