GO UK !! Tough matchup vs. UConn (Walker is as good as they come and they are playing great but so is UK) but anything this UK team does from here on out is just icing on the cake for me. I'm so happy and proud for/of this team !!
Looks like our Brackets are all pretty much done now. Seems like only two people can get anymore points. At this moment I guess I'm rooting for UK or VCU.
There is still some time on the clock, but I'd say it's all over for Kansas.
It was the best ending to my spring break that I could have asked for. :) THANK YOU VCU!
If VCU wins this thing, it will be second only to NC State's fight to the national championship when they had to win the ACC as huge underdogs just to get into the tourney.
I really wish that the NBA would install a rule similar to the NFL, where players have to be there for more than a year before going pro. This kid played 1/3 of a season (if that) and is considered a top 5 draft pick? Then why go to college in the first place?

I agree that the rule either has to be changed and extended or done away with completely. I don't see how one season (an injury shortened one at that) can really change who he was coming out of HS. I'm also surprised that more people don't go the Brandon Jennings route and go play overseas for the one year...I think making it 2+ seasons would discourage that before a greater number of kids start to do it.
I think players should be allowed to gp straight to the nba if they want to but if they decide to go to college they should have to stay at least 2 years. This one and done thing is dumb.
This is amazing and horrifying at the same time.
It's not the first tragedy for the Hatch family. Stephen Hatch was the pilot of a single-prop 1990 Beechcraft-Bonanza that crashed near Bluffton, Ind., on Sept. 1, 2003 on a flight from Boyne City to Fort Wayne. Stephen Hatch and Austin Hatch survived, but his wife, Julie; daughter, Lindsay; and son, Ian, died.
So he's lost his father, mother, brother, sister, and stepmother in plane crashes in eight years, and he was the only survivor of both.

I feel so bad for this kid, hopefully he is able to fully recover but I can't imagine having so many family members die in plane crashes and being the only survivor.

Molds, you should be very, very excited about this kid. He attends my old high school so I went to watch him and another top recruit play last week, he is an absolute stud. Freakish athleticism and can put up serious points.

Yeah he spent 4 months in the hospital for a skull fracture and has been released fairly recently from what I can gather from news articles. I am not surprised about the first crash though--people jokingly refer to Beech Bonanza's as Doctor Killers because of stability issues with the split tail demanding fairly on the spot pilots. Weather was apparently bad during second crash.
Oh baby !!
#5 North Carolina - 72
#1 Kentucky - 73
So much talent in one game from both Kentucky and North Carolina....the game featured 9 probable 1st round draft picks.
If Kentucky doesn't at least make the Final 4 this season, I will be very disappointed. They're young but they have already knocked off #11 Kansas and #5 North Carolina and Kentucky is undefeated at 8-0 and the scary thing is....they're only going to get better as the Freshmen get better and better and more experienced as the season goes on....whew...chills. And they got a few guys who were in the Final 4 last season (Darius Miller, Terrence Jones, Doron Lamb, and Eloy Vargas). I can't to watch this season progress.
Kansas is playing a great game against Ohio State today. I don't want to take anything away from Kansas, but I am fairly confident Ohio State would be winning/end up winning this game had Sullinger been able to play. Huge difference he makes when he's on the floor. (I say this as we're only down 8, I must say....still have a chance even).
Edit: With the game basically over, I can very confidently say OSU wins that game with Sullinger on the floor. But, injuries are part of the game and part of the challenge is adapting to what is thrown at you. Good game to Kansas, but I can definitely still sleep at night after this loss.
For anyone who watch the ending of the Xavier Cinci game, you saw what a complete disgrace those players were, fighting like that. Pathetic, all players should be suspended for a while.

I was at the game, and your right it was 100% pathetic. The players will be suspended, I think Yancy Gates, the guy who busted Kenny Frease's head open, will probably be suspended around 10 games.
And Kentucky goes down...........to Indiana...
Wooh!!! Go 'little' Zeller!!! Way to go Watford with the buzzer beater!
And Kentucky goes down...........to Indiana...
I had the privilege of being at the game today. It was absolute pandemonium when Watford nailed the game winner. One of the greatest sports moments I have ever witnessed.
And Kentucky goes down...........to Indiana...
UK is still among the best in the nation and by March, I think they will be the best. It wasn't like Indiana was bad or anything...Indiana is 9-0 and it was at Indiana. Kentucky would whip up on Indiana in Rupp Arena or on a neutral floor though. Kentucky will be fine...just a little bump in the road.

Yeah, I agree....at IU is not a bad loss at all.
Despite both losing yesterday, I think Kentucky and Ohio State are the two best teams in the country. UK beats Indiana 9 times out of 10 and OSU beats Kansas at full strength.
But this is why I love college basketball - ANYTHING can happen!

Totally agree. ^^^^ Also, as a UK fan, I was so glad that you guys beat the **** out of Duke a couple of weeks ago...good job.

pathetic yes but i don't see it as a disgrace. I mean who ever threw the first punch should've got the worst out of it. it was uncalled for and the coach was full of **** when he said he made them take off their jerseys. i think he just sad that for press.
Four players from each team have been suspended. Cincinnati gave six-game penalties to Yates, starting center Cheikh Mbodj and freshman forward Octavius Ellis for joining in the brawl. Freshman guard Ge'Lawn Guyn was suspended for one game for his exchange with Holloway at the start of the confrontation.
Xavier suspended Holloway for one game, starting guard Mark Lyons for two, and starting forward Dez Wells and reserve Landen Amos for four games each. Holloway apologized on Sunday for instigating the brawl with his trash talking.

New York and Tennessee are both split on "very confident" and "not confident", while Kentucky is overwhelmingly "very confident".
