Johnny and Camilla (The Challenge, Lisanti), 50 points: Reviewing the faces of the great heroes of The Challenge, the first thing that struck me was familiarity. Having watched these loonballs for years and years, you start to feel like you really know them and are happy to see them again. There is something oddly comforting about the screech of Paula Walnuts' voice, the loud graphics on TJ Lavin's T-shirts, and the contours of Robin's enhanced woman bits. It is also interesting to track the evolution of these characters over the years. In the last decade, we have seen CT evolve from a terrifying testosto-cyclone of snarls and violence into a somewhat reasonable mature adult with feelings and stuff. And in just the past couple years we have witnessed Vinny evolve from a brash, bravado-filled Boston boy into Chaz Bono. (For real, dude looks EXACTLY like Chaz Bono. I have never seen Vinny from The Challenge and Chaz Bono in the same room at the same time. I am not saying that they are the same person, I am just saying that I have no proof otherwise. )
One of the crazy-pants that I enjoyed seeing the most was The Challenge: Rivals co-champion Johnny Bananas. There is something refreshingly likable about this broiest of bros. He's kind of a ****, yet HE manages to curry the favor of the majority of the house every single season. This season he is matched up with his former flame Camilla. The two are clearly the couple most likely to conceive a child before the end of the season. Their chemistry, teamwork, and ability to rub honey off of each other was so impressive it garnered not one but TWO "You killed it" declarations from host TJ Lavin (2 x 25 = 50 points). This is an unprecedented GRTFL performance that was previously thought to be impossible -- essentially Wilt Chamberlain having a 100-point game except, ya know, hungover and covered in honey.
CT, Diem, Sarah, Vinny, Mark, and Robin (The Challenge, various GRTFL teams), 25 "You killed it" points: TJ Lavin this week on The Challenge: "There were four teams that killed it ... " What? Teej, four teams cannot kill it! That is not how killing it works, man, slow your roll turbo, only one "killed it" at a time Teej, jeez.
TJ owning the catchphrase born from the BS Report makes me giddy. I was going to print some "You Killed It" T-shirts and send them to him before the season started, but they didn't have any dragons or eagles or tribal patterns on them, so I figured he would never wear them.
All jokes aside, it was great to see TJ back to his old self this season after that horrific injury. Shout-out to you, TJ Lavin. You are an inspiration. No bull****.
Jasmine (The Challenge, House), 10 points: When we added the "Assault of an Inanimate Object: 10 points" rule, we should have just called it the Jasmine rule. I hope they have a "break as much glass as possible" challenge; Jasmine would dominate that the way Vinny would dominate a "look like Chaz Bono" challenge. (Shout-out to the two people that tweeted me that Chaz Bono joke; I see you.)
Wes and Mandi (The Challenge, Connor), 10 points: Wes and Mandi won the elimination challenge (10 points) that they have titled "The Dome." MTV is running out of nouns at this point. I can't wait until 2015, when TJ announces, "When you are voted to the elimination challenge you have to fight for your life in ... The Sponge."
And Henry, from San Francisco:
So, the Battle of the Exes just started up. Heather, Dustin, and Naomi all showed up as rookies. That means that 6 of the original 7 cast members from Real World Las Vegas have now made appearances on the Challenge. And it got me to thinking, the Las Vegas season has a chance to be The Challenge's 2003 NBA draft.
Adam Royer has appeared in one episode and in that episode he managed to set the GRFL single episode record for The Challenge (only topped by the Jersey Shore cast). Leroy has been a beast in competition (name not far off from LeBron either). Michael, who looked like a bust, proved to be a highly interesting character with his Paula obsession and even exceeded expectations in the competitions.
It remains to be seen how Dustin, Heather, and Naomi will pan out, but I think Dustin and Naomi both have all star potential. How are the other cast members going to handle Dustin's **** past? Naomi could go ape-**** any moment if Leroy starts doing Leroy.
And the best part? I think Nany, if she ever comes on the show, could be the best of them all. She's a dime with daddy issues who fell for Adam Royer and regularly got hammered. That's a hell of a scouting report.

A quote from Colie about the cast "Who are those people?".
Having not watched the most recent RW season, I found myself asking the same question.
After hearing to some podcast...many of the cast (at this time only Leroy and CM) found this episode kind of boring and the storylines wasn't so exiting for them and it looks like that the producers cut a LOTTTTT! Aren't they realising that they're actually hurting the product and that only the lame things was aired?
I fully agree with Leroy (speaking the truth as usual) this first episode was boring because the producers overdid the CT and Diem love story stuff because they overestimated our interest in that. They could have just shown a minute of that when CT and Diem were preparing for the mission that day and leave it at that. They are going to edit out some good drama just because they want audiences to like CT, the fan favorite? They don't get that CT is more interesting when we see the volcanic, crazy side AND the nice guy side, not just one of those sides!
I was also disappointed that they didnt' air the Dustin/tally mark scene. As Heather said on twitter, that scene was a good example of how to handle bullying!

Its on the producers cut on MTV.com, the cast played a superlative game and voted him most likely to be in a ****.

LOL. But what does that have to do with bullying though.
LOL. But what does that have to do with bullying though.
Because while Johnny ran around saying "OMG everyone vote for Dustin!!1!" in an attempt to rile him up, Dustin walked up, asked who wrote this, and promptly checked his own name. They can't really bully you if you make fun of yourself.

There's a difference between being bullied, and being a good sport about something. It seems like they've let it go, but they could have kept pushing it in a more malicious way until he cracked.

Yes, but if you see someone making fun of themselves, what would be the point of continuing to try? If Dustin had gotten upset over the list, you can bet they would have continued to push him about it. But since he took it in stride...they probably realized it wasn't worth their time.
Johnny and Mark actually talked about the making fun of Dustin business on Derrick's podcast. They pretty much said that everyone in the house was ready to go hard on him if he was the hyper competitive guy that his Real World season painted him as. But it wound up that he was very likable and like a kid on a playground who was just really excited to be there and they didn't think he deserved to be made fun of.

The point is that if you keep pushing, you might reach that breaking point. Even if you're a good sport about it, it just gets irritating when someone keeps pushing the same dumb "joke". And they could have been much more malicious (making it more like bullying rather than gentle teasing).

Yeah, that's a good point. I guess I was thinking that if I were ever in their spot, I'd give up if they thought it was funny. Although, as JL said, him not being a d-bag definitely helped his cause.
I guess I missed something what is this list reference in relation to Zito about?
In the 15 minute producer's cut of the premier that was posted on MTV.com, it showed the cast voting on yearbook superlatives for each other. One of them included "Most Likely to Star in ****", and Johnny went around telling everyone to vote for Dustin. When Dustin saw his name and all the votes, he laughed and asked who put his name there and then voted for himself saying that he deserved to win or something.
The biggest surprise of the episode for me was wes's reaction to being thrown in. I think he realizes it was his own fault this time. :P I wouldn't mind seeing him win a challenge to see what his and mandi's vote would be... but I don't really see that happening with mark, johnny, ct, etc as their competition.
I don't really expect much with the first episode, it was good enough for me though.

Well what did you expect him to do? Scream and yell and go crazy over it lol? Nate/Priscilla did bad on the 1st challenge so I don't think Wes/Mandi were worried and he's been in enough eliminations now so I don't think he's overly shocked when he goes in. This episode was kinda boring, on the Johnny/Mark podcast Johnny said Wes didn't call him before the show to try and make deals or w/e, he was calling the rookies instead, maybe he just didn't want to work with Johnny? And as if Johnny wouldn't send him in regardless. They also said they would answer fan questions and they didn't and I was hoping they would talk about the CT thing that happened on the 1st few days and they didn't do that either :/

Why is everybody almost obsessed in that CT thing? Do we have any specific evidence that really something BIG happened? I mean, we just have a question that CM answered and on the Brandon podcast, Leroy said that he doesn't know what actually happened. I'm sure if something big happened, he would have heard something, especially when two of his roomates (Rachel, Annesa) are the "rumored victims".

Whatever it was, it would have made the first episode more interesting if there was some screaming involved. And Diem said to watch and see the real reason she dumped CT, and we didnt see anything....

No one described those two as "victims."
There is evidence that something happened. The initial suggestion that I made is that people did not understand the context of the the Diem/CT edit in the first episode. It apparently didn't fit the story line. (Remembering this is a reality show and not a documentary) Their discussion of "communicating better," I've heard, happened after the aforementioned incident. I can't offer any particular context about the incident being '"BIG" because that would require a judgement call after knowing all the essential facts. I only know enough to state with some certainty that more happened than we know, in part, thanks to Cara Maria's rather candid reply to a question on Formspring, which people should more carefully read than many have thusfar.
Whatever it was, it would have made the first episode more interesting if there was some screaming involved. And Diem said to watch and see the real reason she dumped CT, and we didnt see anything....
But it hasn't on the first episode, but maybe the second.
Second part: I thought she was refering to the "hair" thing on the interview and btw even Diem says that we didnt see anything yet.
Not sure if DIem meant the real reason was her "carer first' thing or just in general how he treats her, so not sure if their is more to her real reason thing.
But on the CT incident thing, CT was probably a jerk that night and a few of the girls were frightened of him from what i have heard from that podcast and the little hints given. So whatever caused them to be frightened i am not sure, it could have been him getting in another guy's face(remember Aneesa/rachel were on the Duel 2 so they probably were more likely to get freaked out over anything he did temper wise, but understandably so. I didn't even think Rachel wanted him ever invited back so i could see her wanting him out if he raised his voice at all.
But if he did something serious by serious i mean like the Tonya thing or some verbal abuse, I am sure Leroy would have heard the next day or from a girl or it would have been made a bigger deal. CM basically said they are trying to give CT a good edit, they never said he killed or physically abused anyone or anything like that. Being frightened can happen easy around someone who has had blowups and has a temper like CT. Especially since some of them witnessed the Duel 2 incident with Adam.
He probably was a *******, people were drinking, and it was a scene. But that doesn't mean it was serious. The fact it seems not everyone in the house knows about it, makes me think it was just a drunken fight. Maybe they all argued about the validity of the Shauvon thing if Diem/Aneesa/Rachel were involved and CT got mad about it.
If he abused anyone or was violent he would have went home especially with his history, so i think it's being made a bigger deal than it is, purely because they are hiding it and not sure why they are. Wish they would just show it so we can judge for ourselves. That is my thoughts on it, and it appears no one else on the cast wants to explain what happened so we may not know.Obviously a lot happens that we don't see, so it must not have been too juicy if it wasn't shown.

Notice the one podcast Johnny didn't rip CT was that last one recapping ep1. If he really did somthing serious that was a huge deal, Mark or Johnny would have mentioned it i am pretty sure. Him being a jerk on a night around his ex he loved and just with his temper is not surprising I don't get why this is such a big deal. He had that one bad night with CM on Rivals too, and still had his "good guy" edit. Just surprised it wasn't shown, maybe they figured they already had enough screen time for them in one episode, and they have a lot more drama coming so they didn't show it. But they showed him yelling at CM and he still was considered a good guy on Rivals(by some), so it's not like they completely ignore anything bad he does nowadays.

That fight with Cara Maria wasn't aired, it was put out as an exclusive clip.
It's interesting how people are trying to beat around the bush with CT and make excuses but if this was Ty, Wes, or Johnny rumored to have made numerous girls cry people wouldn't even question it and start throwing stones.
And Leroy did say he heard about it the next morning.

Where is the excuse? If he did anything serious, he would have went home. leroy didn't act like it was a big deal at all, he just said it was bs nonsense. He didn't say the whole house was talking about it, he acted like he heard CT was an *** and life went on. They showed him telling CM his bf was a little punk and they showed the whole scene on mtv.com, so it wasn't necessarily hidden. The headline was CT bullies Cara Maria too, so it wasn't making him look good and was on the main site of Rivals. No one ever goes home for making girls cry, so is he a good guy, no, but i never said he was. But people are acting like something serious went down, when these people love to spill the beans Johnny/Mark would have said something IMO if he threatened 4 girls.
I even said he acted like a drunken ******* i'm sure, so if that's beating around the bush, than I can't please you here. If it was anything further, he would have went home, so what else could he have done?
Why kill him until we know more, but i am sure he was a drunken fool in one way or another. If it was Wes or someone you liked maybe you would be giving them the benefit while not CT, so it's the same concept. So call it excuses if you want, and since we have no info regarding it, speculation is all we have.
I never even thought he was a "good guy" on Rivals, he still had the Wes standoff, and the CM thing and more. But i did believe he wanted to make amends with Adam, and for that i said good for him to apologize and i believed he meant it and wanted to be friends. I never thought he was some new changed man, he is who he is. I think he is a beast and his one liners are funny as hell. I just hope for his own good he can control his temper so he can not go down the path his brother did.

Not sure about that one...people blame shift for that guy almost as much as they do for CT. Take a look at a comment box on almost any of Derrick's podcasts. Johnny and Tyler most definitely though.
I do think that if what CT had done was egregious and made the girls feel violated in some way (emotionally or whatever) he probably would've been kicked off regardless if he's their headliner for season. Clearly they've become a lot stricter on cast behavior. On Derrick's thing Mark and Johnny said that the two of them, Dunbar and CT were reading Harry Potter aloud to each other one night (which is a hilarious image) and they told them to stop, threatened to fine them, and then confiscated the book while they were at a challenge. Mark said he was shocked at how strict they were this time around, so if what CT was over any sort of line I doubt he would've been allowed to stick around (and I'm not a CT fan so I'm not making excuses for him). I recall part of Tonya's lawsuit including stuff about emotional damage from sexist behavior/berating so I would assume they expected them to toe the line in that regard too.

Actually i give Wes and Ty as much crap for being ***** as they deserve. I still like them regardless but i don't say "well it probably wasn't a big deal because no one is really talking about it in the podcasts" lol. The difference is Wes and Ty's editing is supported by cast members opinions of them and other inside tidbits they give us, whereas with CT's edit, things are conveniently left out that some cast members tend to bring up on social medias.
And just because it wasn't serious enough to get him kicked off doesn't mean it's no big deal; Ty didn't get kicked off for telling Katie he was gonna beat the **** out of her.
It's whatever though... I hope they show it later on but i doubt it.

Yea Priscilla is in the background of the Tyrie and Jasmine fight too lol, they're really gonna stretch the first week drama for about 2 more episodes.
