We're all speculating on the format of the next Challenge, so I thought i'd post here. someone proposed the idea of a challenge where you would switch teams, so here is my idea of what could be cool challenge:

3 teams

schoolyard-style team picking

private ballot

can't throw the same person in the elimination round twice in a row

after the elimination round, the person who stays could switch teams
OR they pick someone on their team to switch teams
OR the person who is eliminated gets to pick who switches

lifeshields - the team votes on who gets it, but once someone has had is, he/she can't get it again until everyone else of the same *** on his/her original team has had it

the person with the life shield is the only one who can't be switched that day; everyone else is fair game.
All I have to say is... draamaa!
I don't like the idea of people being teamed up with the same people, Wes already teamed up with Mandi, Sarah with Vinny etc.
Also we have done challenges with pairs 2 of the last 3 shows, think we need to switch it up.
The Island 2 ( Change of rules on the the 1st challenge everybody will compete and 8 people will win keys in this challenge. After that the rest of the challenge each of the 8 key holders will have to defend their keys in order to keep them and the game will go like this every face-off day one of the 8 original key holders has to go in and defend their key and if they retain their key they will be safe all the way to the last day before the Final Challenge where the 8 key holders have to defend their keys against the non-key holders remaining in a all out final battle to keep their keys individually, after that the final 8 key holders will split up into 2 boats and race to the Island to win the Challenge. Eliminations will be the same a 3 person face-off and a 2 person vote off.)

-----The reason I don't think such a challenge could happen is that it's pretty unfair to the LGBT cast members.
Well, it would be unfair to the boys but pretty much all the girls (ok an overstatement, but a lot) have had at least make out sessions and a great many more with girls and guys so they could build some strong lesbian/bi-girl teams

That would be a crazy season, I don't think a lot of those people can handle the Island. The Island with the right cast and a change of rules could be a really great season imo.

Sounds like an improved version of Cutthroat. However I don't like the idea of switching teams, as that could make the teams very lopsided. Also, about the lifeshields, I think the person who performs the best should get the life shield, not the most popular one.

And really besides Tyler, Ryan and Davis who is fully gay on the challenges that's still around? (I'd honestly be happy without those 3 anyways).

I agree, I think it'd be more fair, but the problem with that is that they'll have to do less team challenges and those are the most fun (ex: on Cutthroat, they had multiple team missions such as the Bottleneck Stampede, Bed Head, High Ball etc.). They'll have to do more like in the Gauntlet 3 where each person goes and they do an average of the times, and it's usually not as interesting.
I think MTV should film 3 challenges in January, February, and March then air them in April-June, then film the next 3 challenges in July August and September, then air them in October, November and December. That way MTV Canada and MTV USA can air the different challenges on tv at the same time but on different days.
Here's what I think should be the first 3 challenges that should air in April, May and June:
The Ruins 2, with the rookies who have been in at least 1 or 2 challenges versus the vets who have been in tons of challenges and never won.
The Island 2, with all of the challenge champions from Fresh Meat and Real World.
Battle of the Seasons 2 with the newer San Diego, Las Vegas and New Orleans seasons.

Do you realize that it takes quite a few months to show a challenge on television and couple more to get it ready to actually show on television? Not to mention really expensive in a short period of time. That wouldn't be plausible at all.

Only in a fictional world with Jersey Shore type ratings could you find advertisers to buy into a scenario of back to back shooting and airing of challenges. It's just absurd. TV doesn't work that way in the real world, no pun intended...

Parisa and Trisha would have been perfect for Rivals. Also, Kim/Brianna (RW: Hollywood) instead of Sarah/Katelynn or Theresa/Camila.

Shame they never ask her, I really liked her on her season. Would love to see her, Trisha, and Isaac again as well as Dunbar, Cohutta, Ashley, and Kelly Anne. I can do without Shauvon although she is better than a lot of cast members at this point. The only ones to really do a few challenges were Dunbar and Shauvon sadly.

Parisa and Trisha really would have, those 2 just don't mix well, it would have been a real rivalry that would have added legit hatred and drama to the show. I'm not huge a huge fan of Brianna or anyone from Hollywood for that matter, Kim is alright though.

ILM was a show trending upward in network favor, with a bright future that included a long-term contract for its production company, 51 Minds. It was low budget with a strong dollar return. Enter Ryan Jenkins and the train wreck followed, not just for ILM but for their associated shows -- Megan Wants a Millionaire, Charm School and the "of love" series.
ILM 2 averaged 2.3M viewers. What was last week for RW: SD, a paltry 1.25M?
The Challenge was lucky to have been renewed for just one season, based largely on a carry-over audience for a decently rated season of RW: Las Vegas. It doesn't look link the next challenge will get "legs" from RW: SD.
Shooting two seasons back-to-back as Survivor has done, made sense economically, but Survivor has 14+ times the fan base of the RW/and 12 + plus of the last challenge. And, reusing past cast members has proven problematic with critics -- but, at least Survivor has media critics. At best, MTV's arsenal of shows, including the challenges is just about the favorite media critic punching bag in recent years.
I don't know any network executive who would think shooting three challenges back to back would make sense. My perception for a few seasons now is that BMP was having some difficulty attracting a quality cast for just a couple challenges each year. To do three back to back, over three months -- well, it's not happening.

Why the **** was she never asked? She was a big character on her season. So she should've been one of the 1st people they asked. It's one thing if she said no to the challenges but them never asking her is just like *** to me.

I feel like this would be a really interesting matchup. I think it would really depend on the format and how big the advantage for the new school team would be with the girls.
New format that I thought of, 2 teams, 28 cast members, teams are chosen by a snake like draft, A male and female captain will be chosen for each team by some type of challengeprior to this all like in the gauntlet 2 and they will do the team picking. The male captain chooses male teammates and female captain chooses female teammates.
Teams will compete each week for $10,000, 10 challenges for a total of $100,000.
There will be 5 male and female elimination days which will alternate. Each elimination day there will be 2 eliminations, 1 from each team. One person on each team will be voted in by there own team in a cutthroat anonymous type vote and the other person will be the lowest scoring person on the team at that days challenge. (1 elimination round for each team on a male and female day)
After 10 challenges there will be 2 male and female competitors left on each team, what ever money is in their team bank account is split between them. The final challenge will pay $75,000 to the top male and female winner, $25,000 to 2nd place male and female winner.

I like it, but what is the point of having captains for only 2 teams if one will be all male and the other all female?
I like it, but what is the point of having captains for only 2 teams if one will be all male and the other all female?
Captains are only for picking the teams, captains are determined by a mini challenge before everything . There are 2 teams and each team has a male and female captatin. The male captains will only pick males and female will only pick females.
Example
Captains for Team A - Wes and Evelyn
Captains for Team B - CT and Laurel
Team A picks first, Wes picks Evan, Evelyn picks Rachel
Team B picks second, Ct picks Johnny, Laurel picks Camilla
Since its a snake draft unlike Cutthroat, team B will start with first pick of the second round now
Team B picks and so on and so forth
edit: I'm thinking now maybe the male should pick females and vice versa

Ok cool I understand now! I primarily thought there would only be 2 captains, one male for one team, one female for the other. It was almost battle of the sexes ish but then a twist in the end. But still pretty cool format in my opinion!
