Why would they be bitter? I think they'd know more about what those guys are really like than the fans. I thought it was really interesting, he did appear like a womanizer to me on the show and on the podcast he did with Derrick.
The entire Las Vegas cast has always seemed very fame hungry to me and I could see them being bitter about his popularity. This might be because this was the first season I ever followed on twitter while their season was airing but to me they all seem very into the idea of being famous and being on television, etc. Leroy seems to get the most love from viewers of the show, not to mention he was on Rivals and made it so far, I can easily see the girls being bitter about him getting such a great edit (which he does!) and having so many fans.
I obviously don't actually know these people but from the social media and television I've seen them in that is my observation and how it comes off to me.
I heard that podcast but never got that impression of Leroy being a womanizer. I do know he tried to get as many women in his bed as possible and live it up while he was in Vegas. He also says some pretty outlandish things to Naomi.
Still watching Rivals and Vegas. I think he is a pretty good dude and he seems a lot more respectful to woman as a whole then guys like Kenny, Johnny, Wes, etc. I do hear that Naomi seems to have an issue with girls trying to hang with Leroy in public.
I don't think they were upset that he was a womanizer, I don't think that affects anyone but Naomi. They said it a little but, but I mostly have heard in other interviews that apparently he would talk a lot about other people and their situations but then apparently when anything was directed towards him he would leave the house or when the pregnancy thing with naomi happened he would write her emails instead of talking to her or consoling her, because he was so concerned with being liked by viewers.
& I don't think they're "jealous" of him, the only people who seem concerned with fame are Adam Naomi and, surprisingly enough, Leroy- everyone else has seemed to move on from the show.

I agree with you to an extent. Leroy seemed the least fame hungry of the cast to me though. There is something about the Vegas crew that feels like they went a little higher than other seasons but burned out a lot faster than other casts in the public eye. I just don't feel myself having any good associations with the season or the cast 6 months out like I do with other seasons. Except for New Orleans, I usually at least periodically check in on some old RW casts on twitter or think about the show sporadically--just not with those two seasons so much for whatever reason.

Lol, creating a ustream account, youtube account posting his workouts, a clothing line, and all of a sudden he wants to model now. I haven't heard anything about him pursuing modeling or fashion before TRW. He most definitely is trying to stay in the public eye and gain more "followers".

I don't judge Leroy since he didn't go to college and he was working as a garbage man. So he got the opportunity to be on the Real World and he is taking full of advantage of it, I don't think he is a fame ***** to the same extent that Adam and Naomi are. From the Vegas cast I think that ones that don't care that much about fame are Cookie, Dustin, Mike, and maybe Heather.
Someone at the reunion taping also told me they deleted a part where Naomi told the host that her and Leroy still have unprotected sex even though Leroy has a t shirt with the slogan "wrap it up" and was doing safe sex Psa's throughout the airing of the show. I also Met Adam once and he told me Leroy hired a mentor after the show who followed him around to help him with his "career"... So I think that's why the cast feels people misunderstand who leroy is. I personally don't think he is a bad guy but I'm not on the "Leroy is the realest" bandwagon either. He just seems like that older guy that thinks he's the big man on campus and lays low and avoids confrontation, even his friendship with mike rubs me the wrong way. He loves to write all over twitter how much love he has for him but when dustins beating his *** or the guys on the challenge are picking on him, he's sitting back watching/laughing.

Explain to me how he was a womanizer? Let's be real here

Care to prove this please and they are adults leave it alone

...
Womanizer: A man who likes many women and has short sexual relationships with them.
I guess you didn't watch this season, did you?

I did watch the season but I also realize Leroy is a 25 year old man and don't give a care who he beds with nor should anyone else.

I yield to your knowledge. I was not aware that Leroy did anything other than random appearances.
I thought he was still a trashman?
i think he recently left. He had something on his twitter last week about how it felt weird that it was a Friday and he didn't have a check coming from "waste management."
Why wouldn't he turn his 15 minutes of fame into an hour? That's what everyone of you would do, instead of waking up at 4am every day picking up trash, why not move to LA and try to "make it" I say do whatever you can to stay relevant, make as much money, and move on when you cool down.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with it, i was just stating that he comes off as a fame ***** to me.

Haven't read through the thread but would a guy who was fame hungry avoid drama on a challenge and just go to compete and win money, I'm pretty sure if he was fame hungry he would have given them more to work with. I think the guy is just being himself and trying to take advantage of an opportunity while it lasts.
Yeah he is just taking advantage of the opportunity BMP gave him, I don't see him as a fame ***** like Adam Royer that goes and act like fool to get more screen time.

He wants to be famous/make a name for himself in show business. We are saying the same thing, just wording it differently.

I don't know though. I think he's more motivated by money than fame. And the easiest way to make quick cash now is by using his name/fame, so by doing appearances and such.

Yeah he doesn't seem like he wants to be famous....I think he just wants the money. We gotta remember that not everyone that goes on these shows want to be famous. I mean has anyone ever gotten any REAL fame from just beng on The Real World/Challenges?
He didn't go to college. He got the opportunity to be on BMP & MTV. Yeah he had sex with a lot of girls, oh well. But he didn't make a fool of himself in either show to get attention like some other people did (cough Adam cough cough). He is doing what everyone would do in his position and is taking full advantage of it.

Exactly, people are just sugar coating my post because they like him. But i think him, Naomi, and Adam are all in the same boat as far as making their few minutes of fame last as long as possible. Leroy didn't go to college and was a trash man. He had nothing to fall back on after TRW so he's doing anything he can to keep his face and name out there.
And to the people who said he just wants the money and not the fame, well with what he's been doing it seems that he definitely is motivated by both. I can understand taking the mtv money and investing it into a business/creating a clothing line but advocating for a second season/a spinoff/, doing ustreams and youtube videos that he isn't being paid for is a sign that he likes the attention(fame) just as much as the pay checks.
This is just my opinion btw, i don't know him at all but this is my perspective.

I don't think you can easily separate them given the field he is in. If you are not out there on TV, then people are not going to be booking you as much or paying you as much or buying your clothes (which BTW is about the dumbest route I see these people trying to take). Those are about the only ways you get money (and I see "lectures" as just being better paid "bookings" so I include those in my statement). Mike Manning is about the only RW cast member from recent seasons I see taking a somewhat different and likely better in the long-term route.

I know that's my point, you can't separate both. People are saying he's only in it for the money but he wouldn't have any money without putting himself all over the place. And that's exactly what he's trying to do, become as well known as he possibly can because once people forget about him, he's done.
And i agree Mike M. is really making a name for himself in a positive way.

I guess some people could see the fame as and end and others can see it as a means to an end ($$$$).

How so? And whose to say Leroy is promoting himself in a bad way?
I don't know though. I think he's more motivated by money than fame.
Welcome to the 21st Century, babe. A lot of people are that way. Why should we hate on people who are providing for themselves and making a honest living?
How so? And whose to say Leroy is promoting himself in a bad way?
I didn't say Leroy is promoting himself in a bad way. What i was saying was that Mike isn't just going all over the place (posting videos, random modeling pics, club appearances, selling clothes with his sayings on them) trying to keep his name out there. He's really active with HRC and doing speaking engagements and interviews pertaining to their cause. I know he has a decent size role in this movie called "Ecupid" and im pretty sure he has some other ones in the works. He's just really creating a long term situation for himself. It's not about the quick money and attention for him. Which is different from a lot of recent RWers so it's really cool to follow him and what he has going on.
Another good example would be Scott Herman.
