Yeah I understand that but still, why are they bringing the same old people season after season (Sara, Johnny, Paula, Jenn, Tyler) and people that don't bring anything to the show (Luke, Big Easy, Theresa, Mandi, Sarah, Katelynn) instead of casting newbies from recent Real World seasons or people we haven't seen in a couple of challenges? I think one of the reasons why Rivals got good ratings was because they brought veterans that we haven't seen in a couple of challenges (CT, Adam, Robin, Aneesa) and newbies (Jasmine, Leroy, Jonna, Adam, Mike) and they brought some fresh drama and story lines instead of the same old JEK vs Wes and Paula getting "backstabbed".
Yeah because Robin and Aneesa were so great that one episode they were in...
Yeah because Robin and Aneesa were so great that one episode they were in...
But I still think they would have being more entertaining than Sarah, Katelynn, Theresa and Mandi. Especially Sarah and Katelynn, I didn't realize they were there till Jonna/Jasmine sent them home.
Brad's shown that he's capable of winning a Duel and lasting half of a marathon on Cutthroat. Sure this Joey guy may be able to do that, but I can't see that in him just by looking at him.
I don't see it in him too and i'm good at judging competitors before they compete. But assuming he turns out to be a good competitor, Brad's level is not a stretch because Joey does look like a strong and athletic guy(he's skills is questioned though) and looks like he could take out a few competitors physically.
Then again I also thought Landon would be terrible too by looking at him and what he did on his season so who knows
I see what you mean......Landon wouldn't be nearly as good as he is if he was the same Landon on his Real World season(he was a bonehead), but he matured. The only competitor i've been wrong about so far is Leroy because athletic black males are never good competitors expect for Alton and Darrell.
If Joey's anything like he was in his Real World season, JEK would eat him alive. He flipped out over being called a 'weirdo' and got insanely belligerent after losing an arm wrestling match. With less outlets for emotional support and just as much alcohol available as any season of the Real World he'd be eaten alive definitely. I mean rumor has it Dustin was kept off Rivals because they were worried JEK would be too mean to him, I can only imagine it being just as bad or even worse with Joey who proved to be way more unstable.

Evan stated it on Derrick's podcast around the start of Rivals. It's the podcast that features him and Laurel.
Evan stated it on Derrick's podcast around the start of Rivals. It's the podcast that features him and Laurel.
I've heard differently.
I see him being "Brad" level at best.

Evan stated it on Derrick's podcast around the start of Rivals. It's the podcast that features him and Laurel.
If you find it could you post a link to it, because I can't find it.
Few things about Joey, the guy doesn't have potential to be on Brad's level. He is like 5 foot 6 and just really big, he isn't athletic. Think of a smaller less imposing Vinny. His season was awful and he couldn't handle being in a house where you could use the phone, internet, go outside, pretty much live your normal life; the guy is going to be a disaster on a challenge where you are stuck in the house and have nothing to do.
I see...I thought he was an animal from what I've read over the internet from a few people.
It has been a long time since Hollywood so maybe he is in better shape for a challenge now but the guy still isn't athletic. If what you read was based on Hollywood, they really don't know what they're talking about. What did you read?
Evan stated it on Derrick's podcast around the start of Rivals. It's the podcast that features him and Laurel.
Pretty sure than Dustin and Heather have both said in interviews or on social media that he was asked to do rivals and turned it down. I am pretty sure he said in at least one interview that he didn't want to do it because it filmed so soon after they left Vegas.
It has been a long time since Hollywood so maybe he is in better shape for a challenge now but the guy still isn't athletic. If what you read was based on Hollywood, they really don't know what they're talking about. What did you read?
I remember someone on Youtube say(around the time of the Island)......"Joey is a beast, he will destroy the Island"........and when Real World Hollywood castmembers got into that brawl outside the club people were saying "those guys are lucky Joey wasn't there"..... And I saw a clip of him going nuts and punching a punching bag on his season so I figured he would be a physical force if he'd compete on a challenge (but not necessarily a good competitor).
So Joey wants to do a challenge? YAY! I really hope that BMP cast him. We need more newbies on the challenge.

Okay I want to talk about the whole Cara-Maria/Wes/Paula/Laurel incident on Rivals. If you ask me Paula got EXACTLY what she deserved. She and Wes were being ***** to Cara-Maria. And then when Laurel comes in takes her down she gets all upset? Whatever if she's going to dish it her *** better be able to take it. Oh and I wish Laurel would've threw that pop bottle at Wes. I don't get why everyone else was trying to stop her. It's almost like they're saying that it's okay to do what he did to Cara-Maria but nobody can Retaliate. That whole episode just made me hate JEK, Paula, and Tyler more than I already do.

Laurel went too far though, but at least she admits that she did something wrong. BTW Tyler was trying to stop her because the piano was apparently worth like $50,000 and he didn't want people ruining it.

It was COMPLETLY justified because of how she treated Cara-Maria. You don't go and be ****ty to people and then cry and act like the victim when someone else does it to you. Doesn't work that way.

While I'm an advocate of "You can't define pain" in that all pain is pain, no matter how it's delivered, I still have to say that Paula didn't go after Cara Maria's jugular like say Wes did. Laurel didn't need to make fun of Paula for being anorexic in the past. But if you take out that part, then I think it's a whole new story.

She just called her anorexic(Which at one point she was) and you're right. What Paula did wasn't as bad as Wes but she still backed him up in that situation and that wasn't cool so for that I still think she deserved it.
What are the top 10 challenge moments? It can be elimination rounds, tell offs, fights or even make outs.
That whole episode just made me hate JEK, Paula, and Tyler more than I already do.
What did JEK do in that episode? First of all, Evan wasn't even in the house, he'd already been eliminated. And Johnny and Kenny had nothing to do with what happened. If that episode made you hate JEK more, then you're jut looking for reasons to hate them, regardless of the fact that you have no justification for it.

To be honest although it was really F'd up that she brought anorexia into it, I'm feel like Paula deserved every last bit of that rant. I have little tolerance when it comes to that sort of stuff like bullying, and Laurel is like Cara Maria's avenger.

Maybe Johnny throwing the water bottle could've made someone dislike him more, but that's about all he did. Kenny was one of the few to console CM and not pick a side.

And Later on Kenny just inviting himself in the room were Luarel was consoling Cara Maria when Laurel specifically told him to get the **** out. Couple that with them ******* with Mike and that's MORE than enough to make my hate for them grow. I know Evan wasn't there but I'll lump him in anyways because he ****** me off during his time on this season. Nehemiah is SO right in his disdain for Evan.
Does anyone know where I can find the 10th anniversary special? That was when everyone gathered together and took the picture on the scaffolding. I couldn't find it on amazon but I'm sure SOMEONE has to have a copy of it out there. If only DVR was made in 2001...
