I really hope CT is making progress, and if he continues to handle himself well, I'll let his actions of past Challenges slide like I have with Johnny and Kenny. Like I said though, he's done things far worse than any of them, and all I'm saying is that 3 months of somewhat good behavior isn't enough for me to think of him as "changed".
Regardless if it's a small amount of change or a lot, it's still change. You can't expect someone to change instantaneously. You may think he's still bad compared to Johnny and Kenny but you can't really compare CT with anyone else. All you can compare is CT of now to the CT of then and from what we've seen, the CT of now is a lot more mild mannered. Perhaps he's still the same off camera, but we don't know that.
He's a violent lunatic, and just because he didn't hit anybody in 3 months doesn't make him changed.
You're right. CT has not changed because he's was never a violent lunatic in real life to begin with. Unlike Alton or Abe, CT does not have a rap sheet. He told Maria during the reunion that he'll play that "Big Bad Wolf" character as long as they keep inviting him back. CT probably sensed that the bad boy role was getting old so he decided to show a different side. People think he's changed but I think this is a side of CT we just haven't seen.
People like EV and Kenny, who have known CT for a long time, still think he is a weirdo. He didn't change, he made an effort to look better on TV this time. At the same time he looked like an idiot in the fight with Wes and he also went after Cara Maria for no reason. Lets also not forget that he had a girlfriend at home while flirting with Mandi and Laurel.
He may be a weirdo but he is not a bad person. Like Adam said you just have to get to know him which people from the shows do not have the patience for. The real life d-bag is Bananas. Maria verified his behavior at the reunion on afterbuzztv.com. Even friends like Derrick say that Johnny is an *****. On the other hand, an audience member said CT was the nicest and the most professional during the reunion. Katie, Brad ,Eric, Cara Maria and others not in the JEK alliance have nothing but nice things to say about him. JEK and EV thinks he's weird because unlike them, he does not make his living from this show. They don't get that he goes on these shows for the competition and travel. Plus, Kenny is two-faced. He talks smack behind CT's back but calls him "buddy" on twitter. Maybe Kenny is the weirdo.
And since you brought CT's girlfriend into this, let's talk about Kenny's girlfriend. Yes, the one he CHEATED on with Johanna. Kenny can't flirt with anyone on the show because she'll be out the door if anything remotely close to flirting happens. How about Bananas' poor girlfriend. Has anyone told her about the challenges' worst kept secret or that his full-time job is to make lewd comments to women on twitter?
Laurel shared a cab to LAX with CT and his girlfriend. Instead of having a cat fight, Laurel said that CT's girlfriend was sweet. CT's girlfriend was at the reunion after-party hanging out with everyone so I think his flirting was not a big deal because he probably warned her before he left for filming. He admitted to using "flirty bait" to weaken the JEK alliance so it's probably part of a predetermined plan he discussed with his girlfriend.

I know this is the CT but I'm pretty sure Kenny was single on the Island. I remember in one of the dailies they said the reason that Kenny was tentative with Johanna was because the girl that he had been with from FM - around G3 mind-****ed him so hard and made him not trust girls. The girl that he's dating now he's only been with since FM2 ended. And yes, I also find it weird for one straight male to know this much about another straight male's personal life...I've made my peace with it though.
To make this post relevant to CT i think he is a different guy now. I think it's still in him to fly off the handle given the situation. Brandon said on his show that it seemed pretty obvious that he was holding down anger at some points...but I think that's progress...even if he still has a temper he's gained the ability to keep it in check.

I can't vouch for Johnny, but Evan and Kenny don't make their living from this show. Evan is a host of a Canadian TV show while Kenny has always had another job outside of the show. These things are just extra cash in their pocket.
As far as Kenny/CT, townie has said before that CT respects Kenny because even though Kenny talks a lot of ****, he's the first one who will say it right back to CT's face. (I'm assuming this opinion has not changed post-Rivals) Though, Johnny on the other hand will run his mouth but then act like he never said anything which is why CT does not like him.

What does Kenny's and Johnny's behaviour have to do with CT? I don't think what he did with the girls on the show was cool. Not towards them and not towards his girlfriend. If she is cool with the situation, then so be it. Mandi definitely wasn't and Laurel still seems like she has a crush on him.
It's hard to feel bad for Mandi. She can say it's editing and she got palyed all she wants but i disagree. They both were using each other when you think about it. She said several times in interviews on the episodes she was using him for a purely physical reason and he was trying to get a vote or was lonely I don't know. So she liked him on a pure physical standpoint, I highly doubt they had deep conversations. Than she immediatley runs to Wes after he breaks it off, so I can' t say i feel bad for her at all personally. Next thing we know she is around Wes all the time, CT is than old news. She wasn't crushed for days over the breakup or him breaking ties.
Other than the CT/Wes hookups, what other scenes did she even have? They both were using each other IMO, for their own reasons. NOt saying it is right, but it goes both ways. She got her screen time and to be with the alpha male, CT didn't get any votes from it, so not sure what he really got out of it besides maybe hooking up.
They may or may not have "hooked" up, but she can't really act like she got played. She has been saying over and over when she was using him too. The only difference was he broke it off first, and she flipped out in some drunken rant about it. I think she just wanted attention from the alpha male to show she is the hottest.
Laurel i think legit likes him to this day, so i feel worse for her. But CT never promised her anything(from podcast/interviews, etc) and Laurel even said looking back they had a great time. So she isn't bitter about what happened, it was basically like many challengers, they get caught up in it all while on a vacation. THey came back to reality when it ended and CT would rather be with his girlfriend i guess.

Johnny doesn't like him and he said it to his face. I think CT is playing the nice guy card pretty well, and Johnny wants to expose him but it's making Johnny look bad. Yes, Johnny is an outspoken ***** sometimes, but I got over that and if you look at the big picture, he's not the worst guy in the world. Definiately not a role model, but not bad. And you don't even know if Johnny has a girlfriend or if he's just "talking" to a girl. There are different types of relationships.
Obviously you are one of the people who jumped on the CT bandwagon this season and think he's such a nice, stable person all of the sudden.
I'll just say this: The guy doesn't exactly radiate empathy or intelligence. He's not the nice guy you think he is. Nice guys don't threaten murder or smash heads and are excited about violence. He's violent. He's dangerous. I think he's the most unpredictable person on this show. Maybe you're just attracted to the bad boy who's making an effort to be good.
Whatever it is, you're not going to convince me that Johnny and Kenny are "bad people". They may not be the best, but they are far better than CT.

If that's the case then I think you should stop trying to convince people that CT has not changed. Whether any of that is true or false, people have their opinions and if you stand so strongly to yours and don't want people to try and change it, don't try and change everyone's opinion.

Razor sharp wit. This is good stuff.
Now, as far as labeling people good or bad, righteous or selfish, Satan or God, let's slow down just a little bit. I think all of these people have bad qualities, but they are not so bad as to be beyond redemption. As with every human on this Earth, most people are different shades of gray. If the worst thing CT ever did is beat the hell out of a guy who cut his face with a beer can, then he's far from being labeled outright bad. *******? Sure. Hothead? Absolutely. Temperamental? Without a doubt. But let's all agree on the fact that these guys are not a part of the cast in Jersey Shore. Surely that is a quality they all share that is worth applauding?

Lol true, it's pretty easy to sit back and watch these people on tv and judge them and say oh that's bad, he's an *******, cant believe they did that. It's just a tv show, it's not like everyone watching it is a saint. I dont like some people on the show but I am not going to go look them up and start trashing them on twitter or whatever.
As they said on Derrick's latest podcast, he brings the ratings. He seems chill and than has one blowup but at least now he is doing it non violently. Yelling at someone for hours isn't the most mature thing to do, but it's steps in right direction. If he punched him and went home AGAIN, what is the point of bringing him back. People really seem to be drawn to him as viewers, like him or not. He seems to create a stir in the entire cast as well. His quotes and one liners are also hilarious. I think he has shown signs of changing, but it also has been said by many he is very different away from the stressed out challenge atmosphere, so I am not sure he has to change at all besides on the show itself. Off the show he may be nothing like his bad moments on the show.
They based an entire challenge on one goal, to get rid of him. Johnny says he developed a repuation of only looking out for himself, what else is he supposed to do when the whole house is against him and his partner is his rival? CT had the perfect rebuttle of it's a lot easier when you are cast with 90 percent of your friends.
I think next challenge if he is there with Leroy, they may team up. It is CT's fault to an extent he doesn't have more friends on the show, but a lot of it is these guys don't want to have to face him in the final so they team against him, where they don't care if their other friends make it becuase they think they can beat each other and they don't think they can beat CT in a final. That shows how much they respect him individually, but it almost hurts him because than he will always be a target unless a big team challenge because they fear him in the final. Who is to even say CT wants to be these guys friends off the show?
Hello All,
I just registered, and this is my first post! I've got quite a bit to say, because I'm behind in all of the discussion so bare with me please! I've been watching the challenge since the first Battle of Sexes and I can't get enough of it. I've read several posts here on the Challenge Master/C.T. and feel the need to get my voice out there. Listen, you can debate all day long what kind of person C.T. is. Plain and simple, he is the most entertaining and thrilling cast member/character on these show's. No one draws ratings like this guy. He is a mad man! A lot of people seem to be questioning if C.T. is the "same old" C.T. or whether he's a "changed" man. To me, he should continue to do what he does every time, and that is to crush his enemies and see them tremble before him! Just let him dominate his competition and evoke fear within his opponents. He doesn't need to change, because there is anything wrong with him. The more confrontational he is, the better the show is. Yeah he tried to kill Adam King, but Adam, you don't throw rocks at a man with a machine gun! That moment was so insane and epic at the same time! Let these guys go wild already Bunim and Murray! Next Challenge should be called No Holds Barred!
Speaking of fear from opponents. I've also listened to Derricks podcast's and time in and time out Banana's is always voicing his hatred of the "MAN". It's obvious this guy is still bitter from his Gauntlet III and Cutthroat departures. There is literally no other explanation for his act of anger, but all you JB fans out there, let me tell you this... Johnny Bananas in known for two things… The man who got dominated the most in Challenge history by becoming a human back pack and the guy who is trying to make a buck off of Entourage. Also, even though him and Tyler won the final jungle, the most memorable part about that whole elimination was how C.T. devastated those two at the same time. HAHAHAH! Holy Hell did you see how far Johnny flew! So good! SO GOOD! With that said we need Bananas on the battlefield though it makes for a better game!
I don't want to keep rambling on that's what discussion is for on these forums, but I just hope the members of this board realize how awesome this dude is for these shows, and without a doubt had a huge hand in the renewal of this series.

Not that I don't agree with a lot of what you said about how CT brings in ratings but...who are you comparing Johnny's fame to? Only two of these people are actually famous outside of the challenge sphere...Miz and Jamie Chung. I'm not really sure what you're saying CT is famous for other than his explosions. At the end of the day Johnny's a **** but I doubt he loses much sleep over the fact the CT has more notoriety than he does because he's consistently invited to these things and is always in a position to win them.
I don't want to psychoanalyze Johnny but I feel like people overestimate his dislike of CT. What exactly is he jealous of? Yeah CT is bigger, stronger, and faster than Johnny is...but at the same time Johnny's won around 10x what CT has on these shows and probably gets around the same amount of camera time. Sometimes people just don't like each other.
Johnny only talks crap to CT when there's a camera around and he'll talk crap about him on Derrick's Podcast because it's convenient, but CT's said Johnny is always very nice to him whenever there isn't a camera present and that they get along fine. I said this before, but hypothetically if Johnny were to come to Boston and wanted to party and needed a place to crash, CT would have no problem putting show B.S. aside and accommodating him. Whether or not Johnny would return the same hospitality, I don't know, but I think CT does a better job than Johnny at differentiating the circumstances of the real world and being in a show environment when dealing with other castmembers.

The "CT is a psychopath" thing is getting blown out of proportion. How he treated Adam was never right but the final confrontation happened when CT was still trying to deal with the murder of his brother. So he finally hit a boiling point. Not trying to "defend" his actions but to put them into perspective.
I don't know how much of a changed man CT is but judging someone based on a few clips from a reality tv show is asinine. Especially if said clips were filmed 3+ years ago. Though, yelling at someone for hours isn't the sanest thing to do, it's far from being a violent and dangerous person.
People who have most likely never even seen the guy in real life are holding everything against him more than Adam is, it seems. At the end of the day, Adam's opinion on him holds the most weight. He has real reason to hold a grudge and to see the worst in the guy, and he doesn't.

I'm not comparing anyones "fame" to anyone. I'm not even saying anyone is famous. What I am saying is, Johnny's most memorable moment in the Challenge is him getting carried away on C.T.'s back. I also don't think people are overestimating his dislike for C.T. JB never has anything good to say about the dude and will go out of his way to burry him. I remember listening to Derricks podcast when they interviewed C.T. and C.T. didn't have a bad thing to say about any one. They brought up Johnny's name and asked him what he thought about him and he said "don't really know him".
As far as Johnny winning more challenges then C.T. goes. First off let's get one thing straight here. Johnny can't even make it to a final with out Kenny, Evan or Derrick. He doesn't have it in him. Without those guys he is nothing, literally nothing. Look at the Gauntlet III. He was outta there by episode 3. If C.T. doesn't collapse someones face he makes it to the end by out performing everyone. He's made it to three finals. He lost all of them because of incompetent teammates. He's been ejected twice cause of violence, and lost two elimination rounds. The Duel 1, Brad won on a technicality, which was the most insane DQ in Challenge history by the way, and the other time was this past Jungle which Adam lost for them. I like Johnny on the show, but I like to see him get crushed! He can hate C.T. all he want's, but he is a huge puss for sure. He's a chicken Hawk. When it's time to man up he cries.
I also never said Johnny was Jealous, but if he were it's because he can't outshine C.T. on his best god damn day! The fact that they emphasized on C.T. and Adams departure more then JB and Tyler winning the final jungle shows that! Like I said though, we need Johnny on the show as much as possible but I want to see him get destroyed with words of wisdom from the Boston Barbarian next!

Am I the only one who thought that whole "rant", however long it was alleged to have lasted, was completely rehearsed by CT and Wes? For one thing, there have been different answers as to how long it actually lasted. Even when I was watching that episode when it first aired, I couldn't get one simple question out of my head: Why didn't Wes just walk away?! Who just stands there calmly, mostly looking down at the floor, while someone yells at them for however long it might have been? And Wes claims that CT said that he was going to go to Kansas and kill Wes' family but Wes STILL didn't react to that? If someone threatened my family, I'd sure as hell have something to say about it. All of these things make it pretty clear in my mind that the whole thing was staged for effect. I feel that production needed to see "CT" instead of "Chris", not that they wanted him to punch someone but just show some of that hotheadedness that the viewers were used to but hadn't seen up to that point, and Wes had already decided to try to get as much camera time as possible on Rivals so it was a perfect set-up. And they did their jobs well because we're still talking about it weeks later!!

Wes said on the podcast that he sat with him for that long so that they could get some good footage because he was saying some crazy stuff that would probably air. He even got production to keep getting him wine, and besides there's no need to get worked up, most of what CT was saying made no sense.

I don't know if I'd say it was staged but now that you mention it, the intensity could have been exaggerated. I mean, CT the "nutjob" is screaming in the guys face for hours with threats on his family and that doesn't make the air? It's not even in the bonus clips.
Did anyone read that interview on "The Challenge Forum" with Shane? He was asked what he thought about certain cast members and one of them was CT and he was like "he's super hot. (that's all you're getting) :)" which leads me to believe the rumor about them even more. Hahaha

Hilarious.
Anyway, what I meant to say is that I'm open to people criticizing Johnny, Kenny, and others, because I know they're far from perfect, but based on everything I've seen and heard about them, they are not "bad". They aren't necessarily "good" either. People seem to think they are complete ********, and what I'm saying is that based on what I know right now, you aren't going to convince me that they are. They add humor to the show at the very least.
On the other hand, I see a lot of people bashing their characters, and then excusing CT's behavior, when in reality CT has done things a lot worse: things that should have put him in jail. Everyone completely ignores how he acts and how his reasoning seems to be pretty basic, and just goes along with the storyline that he's the underdog, changed, all-of-the-sudden, nice guy.
I think a lot of you guys took my comments the wrong way. I wasn't trying to expose him as a horrible, violent person. "Lunatic" isn't a proper way to describe him, I'll admit, that was too far. He is violent though. I already said I don't dislike the guy, I just think he was completely glamorized and everyone just forgot all his past actions because he was semi-normal for 3 months, especially when everyone on here seems to hold grudges against other people like Bananas, Kenny, Paula, etc. I just don't get the bandwagon effect that took place this season where everyone thinks he's great. That is what I was trying to say.
Hilarious.

Well, I can't speak for everyone, but I was on that dudes band wagon since the Real World Paris. What makes him great is the chaos! Ya never know what he is going to do. He is unpredictable, and keeps you at the edge of your seat! Throw the man in there and take the leash off and lets see what comes of it. He punched two dudes in the face, big deal, they aren't dead or physically disabled from it. The punch to Adam created the most insane moment in all of reality TV. Sure it went a little too far, but Adam shouldn't have been poking at a wounded Grizzly! I excuse everyone's behavior on this show, because the worse they are the better it is too watch. Call me sick and twisted or whatever, but I want to watch these insane moments unfold! I want to watch Kenny make Sarah cry for being a weirdo and own others with verbal abuse. I want Wes to tell me he is Zeus over and over again. I want to see Bananas act like a tough guy. I want it all! Good or Bad! If everyone was Landon this show would be the worst ever! C.T. is the Tough, Rough Neck, Barbarian from Boston who will smash you and I never want that to change!

CT punched a couple of people when he was wasted out of his mind and has since tried to change things. Johnny and his buddies have made some cast's lives miserable as well as made a couple of them cry with their hazing. Just look at the way they treat Tonya and Robin, not to mention Johnny making Sarah cry on The Ruins by being a ****.

Exactly what I was thinking! I've heard a bunch of the guys are DL.

Just because a gay guy thinks he's hot, that means nothing towards him engaging in it as well. Davis said same thing, I think a lot of people jsut find him attractive.
There has been a certain comment that CT said about Shane to Tyler that caused people to go "WHATTTT???" and when Shane was asked about all the other cast members, he gave at least more of an in depth description for all of them. I'm not saying that he can't say CT's hot , it's the thing he said in parenthesis and the smiley face after that made it look obvious that he didn't really wanna say too much. Evan also stated in an interview something about CT to same nature.

I'm sure that there was a lot of alcohol involved in a lot of the drama in these Challenges, included Johnny, Laurel, Kenny, CT etc.
Tonya was unstable enough as it was, it was Veronica and Evan that pushed her over the edge. Robin is dramatic (and annoying). And it was mostly Kenny that made Sarah cry.
Anyway, I'd rather be joked around with and made fun of in a joking manner than be punched in the face by a freakin giant godzilla guy.
Ev has admitted to being friends with Johnny now, Sarah is friends with them, Paula is always made fun of but they're friends, a lot of people they joked around with (except Ev and Johnny weren't joking, but I'm glad they've moved past that whole Island thing) are actually their friends, so I don't see your point there.

That he told Tyler on Rivals?? On twitter? I know that was rumored a while back, and i saw the interview on youtube I think after the duel 2 that Evan mentioned someone hooking up with same sex castmembers, but he didn't mean this CT i don't think, i forget who unless i misheard. Looking for it now on youtube but can't find it. Unless i missed the point he was trying to say. But Evan wasn't even on the series when that potentially could have happened, would have been on an early inferno probably.
You know it woudl have came up from a lot from all those guys that talk so much smack about him too, so i highly doubt it's true. I never believed it to begin with, just saying. They would have never let it go if he did hookup with a guy lets face it, the way he acts and is considered the toughest, they probably would make fun of him constantly about it if they wanted a way to **** him off to get him thrown off. I don't believe the rumor. Shane probably likes the rumor though, or maybe he hit on CT one time or something and CT hates him now so he doesn't want to talk about it.
