Ev/Tyler are friends it was mentioned by him when she picked him to go up against CT. That's why he got so pissed at her. About Johnny, if you watch when he and Tyler are hugging everyone after the win, Johnny/Ev kissed and hugged each other. I was amused by that. lol
I've never known CT/Ev to ever be friends, though.
Regarding what she said about CT this season, everything she said was spot on. He is the only one dumb enough in that setting to punch someone and get kicked off the show. It's happened before. And, he did treat her friend Mandy very coldly after whatever went down between.
Yeah CT and Evelyn don't seem very good friends, she was like: "CT is the only person dumb enough to punch someone, and he may do that again tonight. CT punches Johnny, CT goes home (with a huge smile on her face)"
And Tyler was really nice to Evelyn when they got voted in.
Tyler: Evelyn knows what I think of her
Evelyn: What? *confused*
Tyler: Nothing, actually.. I think nothing of you.

Sorry to be OT...
Like I said, Tyler/Ev are friends (just like he and Paula are friends and he was pissed at her too) and in the heat of the moment, he felt betrayed by his friend. I thought he was out of line too, but stuff happens. He and Ev seemed to have made up after (like he and Paula did) cause they were on the dock chatting last episode.
Producers may say to speak negatively about them, but what they say still matters. They still are choosing to say what they say. So their must be some truth to it, or they would say something else. I mean it's like leading them to what they want, but the words are still being chosen by the castmember. Unless they say tell us something completely untrue about CT so we can twist it into you making fun of him. Besides V1's examples last page, I only figured they give them topics/situations and let the cast go on about it and take what they think is juicy. If you keep talking long enough, something has to be useable.
Otherwise, being a fellow castmember, you should know how it goes and not take it so seriously. I guess how they react depends on the person.
it's far more complex than you can imagine.
One could also say that because nearly all of them go along with it, nothing cast members say in those Gs interview matters at all...
Of course, that doens't stop normal human beings from feeling hurt/angry when the finally see what someone said about them during an episode.
The cast deal with this situation is several ways
1. The person who 'talked trash' lets the other cast member know then gave producers what they wanted. The other cast member's response might, Thanks, I get some payback during my next interview."
2. The same person waits until after the show is finished taping and then at some later joint club appearance or just in an email or phone call the other person he/she says... "I said a lot of stuff about your just after the (house incident),(xYZ's jungle where you were involved) and have no idea what I said. They were pushing me pretty hard, so i probably gave then some hard stuff. Sorry, you know, nothing personal. I can't stand those f'ing interview' The reply, "Hey, dude/dudette, thanks for letting me know. I'll roast you on the after show or at the reunion. Heck, maybe I'll call you 'wes in drag.'
3. The trash talked says/does nothing, hoping production doesn't use it, and does no PR pre-positioning. The episode airs and he/she takes crap for what was said from the fan base and cast alike. An example of this approach would be what Jenn said about Adam during her interview. In this instance, production and the entire house knew they were hooking up and Jenn denies it to the house. production does their interveiw with Jenn and focuses on her very nevative comments about never sleeping with Adam and suggesting he was not up to her standards... Obviously from Derrick's poscast, Adam's own blog, and reports of the reunion show suggest he was shocked at her GS comments. Option #3 on this list is never a good one unless you are tying to become the villian of MTV or any other reality show.

I love all of this. It shows we really don't know everything thats going on. Anyway, I'm glad they did admit to no pre-positioning because that's where LB and The Hills fell flat or staged.
And what do you mean by GS? And I'm really curious to what Option 3 is but I digress.

GS = Green Screen
Option 2 is Nehemiah trash talking Beth during interviews on Gauntlet 3, but then texting her before and after the show aired to apologize.
Option 3-- Unfortunately the option three examples I know about are also ones which I've been asked not to discuss. I'm sure others can identify examples of them.
And we are slightly off topic, unless one of those option 3 things involves CT. :)
I hate to be a "hater", but I don't get the CT bandwagon this season. I like him because of his athleticism, but I'm not entirely sure he's a "changed man".
Wow, he didn't punch someone this season and behaved somewhat well, he must be a completely changed man right? No, sorry, I'm not buying it. He still seems really sketchy to me as a person.

Me neither, I do think he's gotten better compared to G3 and previous challenges where he would start fights with people. He seems to have 1 good season then 1 bad one, like on the duel he was there to won then on I3 he hit Davis, came back on G3 and tried to win but still acted like a ****** then on Duel 2 he hit Adam, So maybe he'll loose his cool again next season. Like screaming at Wes for hours only because he said he wanted to get rid of him doesnt sound all that mature.
Gauntlet 3 was before Inferno 3 so he made it to the finals every time, if I'm not mistaken, and lost (discounting the Duel where he made it to the final Duel and lost in a matchup he had in the bag). Inferno 3 and Duel 2 were back to back for him and on the topic of CT, I don't believe he is a changed man either. Maybe he has a little more control but the things he has done I still believe he wants to do, he's just holding back due to the show.
If CT is the same person you all proclaim he is, he would have ripped Adams head off for losing that final elimination round. A lot changes when you lose someone close to you.

Wait wasn't it the other way around?
Wait wasn't it the other way around?
My mistake it was. Derrick is always saying he had 3 in a row and he won all the same ones as Kenny so I thought he had 3 in a row to and that Gauntlet was right before Inferno. It was the other way around and he didn't have 3 in a row like Derrick.
I really wish CT would've won this challenge.
If CT keeps doing the challenges he is bound to win one, he's too good of a competitor not to. I personally would love to see him lead a non champs team on a challenge in the future.

Congrats, he didn't want to kill someone for once. I hate that that's always CT's excuse his fans make for him. He's a violent lunatic, and just because he didn't hit anybody in 3 months doesn't make him changed. He still yelled in Cara Maria's and Wes's face.
Wes said that CT said that he was going to go to Kansas to kill Wes's family, and he didn't deny that. Sounds really changed?
I like CT as a competitor, but I don't get the bandwagon effect going on this season where everyone thinks he's changed and a great guy. Johnny, Evan, Kenny, Wes, etc. are angels compared to this guy. I think people just like the underdog (meaning he had no alliance).

Wes, the guy who yelled at, talked down to, made fun of, and poured soda on CM is an angel compared to CT, the guy who yelled at CM. Wes apologized on the after show (months after the event happened) while CT apologized the next day. (Didn't CM say he wrote her a note the following day?) Your dislike for CT is as clear as my dislike for Wes.

In Wes' defense, lol I know you hate when people say that but he never saw CM cry about it until later, CT was screaming at her and she was crying right in front of him and he kept saying keep playing victim, and you wish she hit you and that he'll beat up Abram even though he could clearly see she was upset. Still think he shouldnt have poured the soda but CT is still crazier than anyone.
It didn't just happen in the club either, they had a clip on MTV.com where CT was still saying stuff to her in the house and she was crying and cursing at him. Wes poured soda on her during a food fight in which everyone was drunk. CT seemed way more malicious in his attack.

I never said he did a complete 180 and turned into Ghandi. It's sad people like you, are so narrow minded and discredit progression. All you need is one excuse in someone's negative past to declare them a label. With age and experience(his brothers death) he'll receive adjustment to his character. But since you focus solely on negativity, none of this matters.

Right. 'Cause Johnny is an angel. Except when he was on the Island, but he changed since then, so it's all good. And Kenny and Evan are all good. Except on Gauntlet 3 when they followed the same sexist strategy as CT, and on the Ruins, where they pushed Sarah to a breaking point. But it's cool, they've changed. And Wes is still cool, because even though he was a ********* five minutes ago, he's had time to change. So let's excuse all their behavior. Because they have changed, apologized and all that ****.
You need to be able to read idle threats versus legitimate ones. If you can read the body language and facial expressions that go with the words people are saying you can have a true understanding of what they are. CT is bat**** crazy. No one is saying otherwise. All anyone is saying is that he has CHANGED HOW HE HAS CHOSEN TO REACT TO CERTAIN THINGS. Not beating the **** out of kids is evidence of that. His general attitude is a reflection of that. I am not of the belief that if pushed to a point he will not whack somebody in the head, but, in his words, "People change, get over it."
If you're only evidence of him being a violent lunatic on this challenge is yelling at two people, then you're argument is fundamentally flawed. Kenny got into a shouting match with Paula (look at the online content), Johnny and Tyler pushed Mike to a point where he lost his **** completely. Jenn shouted at and got physical with Cara Maria, and we all saw how she was on the reunion. I would venture to say that CT was far from the most hostile person on this challenge. He would not even be the second, third, fourth or fifth most hostile person on this challenge. And that is why these people are saying he has changed. And if you have any kind of understanding of people in general, you can't deny that.
Leeroy mentioned in the podcast that CT wanted to beat up people in the Club.
People like EV and Kenny, who have known CT for a long time, still think he is a weirdo. He didn't change, he made an effort to look better on TV this time. At the same time he looked like an idiot in the fight with Wes and he also went after Cara Maria for no reason. Lets also not forget that he had a girlfriend at home while flirting with Mandi and Laurel.
Who cares, the guy gets into a screaming row with 2 people and maybe (I haven't listened to the podcast) wanted to beat people up at a club. It didn't get physical with anyone at any point. The Duel 2 was almost 3 years ago. Do people really expect him to turn into Gandhi in that time? Yelling at Wes for hours is nuts but in that time he could've pounded his face in. If CT hadn't changed at all then he would've beat the crap out of him.
As Adam said on the reunion, CT is intense, that's just his nature. An overall personality change would take a long time but it's possible to change how you react in certain situations.
Only time will tell if he really has changed, but we only see him on these challenges anyway. His screen time all season probably isn't even add up to 10 minutes.

Oh, c'mon. You're just reaching now... was he supposed to wear a baggy hoody the entire time there and not talk to any of the girls?

Kenny, Leeroy and other males didn't flirt with any of the girls. There is talking and there is flirting. Big difference.
I wouldn't appreciate my boyfriend to do what CT did on television.

There's flirting then there's cheating (however a couple chooses to define it.) Maybe his girlfriend doesn't mind flirting and dancing with other girls, or maybe they even have an open relationship. Either way, we don't know how their relationship is and it's pointless to try and judge another relationship by how you'd conduct yours.

Of course you are absolutely correct, but that doesn't stop the judgment from happening. I've always thought such things were rather small-minded.

My memory might be cloudy, but when has CT ever ripped or got angry that somebody lost a challenge for him? In the Inferno 2 when Tonya and Tina lost the finals for them, sure he was frustrated, but he didn't seem angry. Or even in the Gauntlet 3 when Big E lost it for the Vets. Everybody else livid at that point, but CT didn't seem that upset, he was disappointed. So I don't think he's changed in that aspect of the game. I think all his rage in The Challenges have been about loyalty of something.
He seemed okay this season but I didn't like the way he treated Mandi. She seemed to be sincerely hurt after trying to give him a chance. I'm not a fan of Mandi but I did not like the way he played her.

I kind of agree but not totally. I think CT came on the first Inferno trying to be a good guy that didn't really cause problems but as the season went on he wanted to sort of impose his strategy on the game, which was to get rid of Leah and later Coral. When Inferno 2 happened he tried to do it from the start with people like Karamo, Dan, and I'm sure if she stayed around longer Beth. He probably didn't have to worry about anything on the Duel cause he was on his own, and locked up the female vote with Diem. Gauntlet 3 right back to his old antics of trimming the fat, and ever since then he's been on individual or pair challenges where I guess he's seen as the biggest threat in a final. I'd really like to see CT on another team challenge and see the dynamic then, I kind of get the feeling he wouldn't be as laid back as he was on Rivals.

I think you're reading too much into this. I am a fan of Johnny and Kenny, not so much Evan, Wes, or CT, except I like watching CT's performances because of his athleticism. Johnny's behavior on the Island is not even close to what I've seen CT do. I never claimed Johnny or Kenny to be angels, I said in comparison to what CT has done, they are not nearly as bad. In fact, I was disgusted by Johnny's behavior on the Island. I let that slide (as most people should) because he has many redeeming qualities and handles himself much more maturely (he could still use some work on the "mature" part, but I guess it's his sense of humor). He was a nice guy on his RW season, and has improved over the last SEVERAL Challenges. Is he still outspoken? Yep. Could he stop being such an *** sometimes? Absolutely and he should. But he is still funny, he still seems to be quite intelligent, and he seems to often stand up for what's right now, unlike on the Island. And I hate how Jenn acts and plays the game btw, I'm not sure why you brought her up.
I really hope CT is making progress, and if he continues to handle himself well, I'll let his actions of past Challenges slide like I have with Johnny and Kenny. Like I said though, he's done things far worse than any of them, and all I'm saying is that 3 months of somewhat good behavior isn't enough for me to think of him as "changed".
