We lost a real talent the day we lost Amy. Is it just me, or does Bruno Mars look like an ugly drag queen?
I don't get Lil Wayne
It's not exactly entertaining to try and watch someone perform when they have to bleep everything out with the seven second delay. And it looks like he's having an aneurysm on stage.
Since when do they let these people cuss on live tv? The censoring takes away from the performance...
I really didn't like them this year. At all.
yonkers by tyler the creator is a good song, pretty dark though.
This was the first time I'd watched the VMA's in quite a while (I didn't even know MTV showed music videos anymore). The show wasn't doing it for me so I started channel surfing but kept going back to it. The only 2 parts I watched all the way through were "Valerie" by Bruno Mars during the Amy Winehouse segment and especially "Love on Top" by Beyonce. I always knew that woman could sing but ****!! And it was so nice to see a celebrity actually be excited about being pregnant and literally embrace it instead of playing coy or outright denying it. I enjoyed those 2 performances so much that I'm going to record them during a rerun of the show. The rest, not so much.
Well, obviously the only part that I watched so far is The Hunger Games trailer and I must say I was a little ****** at first that it wasn't some huge long trailer, but then I remembered that it's just a teaser and the movie is still in the filming stages. If you haven't read the book, I highly recommend it :D I still have the VMAs actually DVRed, so I may go back and watch it later, but I really highly doubt it.
The only reason I am DVRing this event is because I want to see The Hunger Games first trailer!!!
LoL that's the only reason I DVR'd it, too! But then, I just Googled it this morning. I wanted more. MORE I tell you!!

Loved that they did the tribute but it seemed so rushed! Her acceptance speech was turned into an intro for Beyonce.......seemed weird and rushed to me. But really happy she got the tribute and best Pop video!!! Love Britney!!!

I was hoping for more from the tribute, but oh well. The little girls did a **** of a job though!
Lady Gaga as a ugly, annoying fem-"man" was everything bad, boring, and hard to watch. I can't believe Britney got called up for a lifetime achievement award and her and Gaga spent the time praising Beyonce. Britney didn't say much of anything personal, or of substance about her journey. Adele's song was probably the highlight for me.
