I really liked Fresh Meat II. Just kidding, it sucked.
Really? I liked FM2...probably because I wanted Landon to win after he got robbed on The Duel 2 though.
Did the 2nd (grey) and 3rd (blue) place teams get prize money for the Cutthroat final? Or did the Red team win the whole $300,000 (that's usually how much they give away per challenge I believe..) and the others got nothing? Just wondering because I don't remember how that worked.
Yep, they got their bank account money.
Do they lose it or keep it if they were eliminated before the final? Or did it go into like a team pool and the people who make it to the final split it?

Only the people who make it to the final splits the money.

Are you absolutely positive about that? While BMP hands out the prize money according to the announced awards, there are rumors about cast members splitting money from the final prizes to satisfy deals made earlier in competition. I make no accusation, since I believe such arrangements would violate contracts and Federal Law. Persistent rumors over the years, however, often have some basis in fact.
How come MTV.com doesn't post episodes from all of the older seasons of The Real World or The Challenge? They've only posted episodes from San Francisco and Las Vegas 2002, for whatever reason. I want to watch Paris soooo badly.

The Miz is the new host of the after show?

Are you serious? That's fantastic! What's your source?

I hope the Miz comes back to host, but I would love to see Coral come back to host an aftershow or reunion or ANYTHING. I would love to see her rip into some of these newer competitors like Laurel.
Also, I am nostalgic for some of the older challenges, mostly because they seemed so much more gender-balanced than the challenges today. Remember on the first Gauntlet or Inferno, when people like Veronica, Roni, Elka, and Coral would win missions for their teams? I can't imagine that happening now. They need to bring back more missions that emphasize balance, flexibility, and endurance, instead of upper body strength and reach...because now the top female performers are just lighter versions of men (Laurel, Ev) and not top competitors in their own right.

Don't feel like screencapping it right now, someone else can if they want to lol
Thank you. I hadn't caught up on my Twitter feed since this morning.
I am definitely looking forward to the after show now. It should be interesting seeing the interaction between Mike and the contestants of today. I figured it was going to be Mark Long, but this is a pleasant surprise.

As much as I love Coral, I don't think she'd play the role of a neutral host very well. But a marathon in Coralvision? Yes please!
And back in the day, Veronica was a great competitor. She won 3 or 4 Lifesavers on The Inferno and that's when she was competing against the boys. I think her social game can blind people of this, but she was one of the best females back then.
Is the fact they're starting with the aftershows a guaranteed sign that the contract has been renewed and the challenges have MTV's faith again?
And should be fun with the miz, tho I would've rather seen him on like the duel 3 :p
I think having Miz on the aftershow is a great move to try to get more viewers. People were mentioning bringing back Miz to increase the viewers, well since they may not be able to get him as a competitor, the next best bet is a host.... brilliant idea IMO.

Not to take anything away from Veronica, but the challenges back then were not as physical as they are now (in my opinion). The challenges used to be like Musical Chair Tango and Bird Feeder....so...yeah.

And there were a few challenges that were thrown so she would win the livesaver.

There was only one challenge thrown...she fairly won a BUNCH

I definitely agree with that, but a lot of the challenges back then required a number of skills.
I think she was the lifesheild/saver on:
Turn Table (Gauntlet)
Dukes of Saturn (Gauntlet)
Balls Out (Inferno)
Don't Yank My Chain (Inferno)
Balcony Swing (Inferno)
Window Wash (Inferno)
The only one that was thrown for her was the Balcony Swing challenge. They were also going to thrown the Saturn Vallet Ballet, but Kendal ended up with the best score.
I'm not saying Veronica is the best competitor of all time. In fact, I think her performance dropped a little in her later challenges. But there was a time when she was consistently performing better than the other girls on her team.

Why do the challenges have to be "physical," though? And by "physical," I mean favoring people with upper body strength and wide reach? The older challenges were just as entertaining as (if not more so than) current challenges.
Personally, I think the missions are much more interesting to watch when women have just as much of a shot as doing well as men.
I think they only ask back 7 fresh meat people so don't exspect alot of them to return.
It would be better if none of them get asked back.
I think they only ask back 7 fresh meat people so don't exspect alot of them to return.
Lol you're right, they only asked back 7 people from each FM season. Probably because a Real World season has 7 people aswell? Which would suck because there's a lot of nice people from FM2 they should still ask.
