I wonder why Dave never came back. I kinda wanna see how he'll do in a regular challenge.
Didn't he quit on the Island? If I were casting for a challenge, I wouldn't want a quitter to come back, I'd want someone who would fight to stay.
Didn't he quit on the Island? If I were casting for a challenge, I wouldn't want a quitter to come back, I'd want someone who would fight to stay.
He quit but he said that he'd come back for a regular challenge like the gauntlet or inferno.
Didn't he quit on the Island? If I were casting for a challenge, I wouldn't want a quitter to come back, I'd want someone who would fight to stay.
The Island sucked. He obviously thought they were all going to stay in a lavish mansion and have fun, but was put into this bad situation. I would've quit too if I ended up on this challenge.
The issue of who retired from Challenges, etc. has interested me and piqued my curiosity very much, so I've done a good amount of research about it. Now, I'm not 100% certain on everyone, but from that list a few pages earlier I'll try and see if I can identify who would come back or not. Officially Retired Brad (San Diego) - yes Tori (Viewers' Revenge) - yes Eric (New York) - V1Man stated earlier that if the conditions were right, Eric would return. Coral (Back to New York) - Coral confuses me. But, honestly, I think, that if it were the right time and format, she would make a return, but that's just me. I don't know for sure. Tonya (Chicago) - yes Kim (Hollywood) - yes Veronica (Semester at Sea) - I believe she's done. Johanna (Austin) - not sure. Ibis (Xtreme) - yes Kina (Xtreme) - not sure. Jodi (Xtreme) - I'm pretty sure she's done. Probably Won't (or Can't) Return/Receive Invitation Emilee (Cancun) - yes J.D (Brooklyn) - why is he on this list? I don't really know much about him, but I don't recall ever hearing of him not receiving an invitation. Dave (Hollywood) - I would assume, but I'm not positive. Nick (Hollywood) - I would assume, but again I'm not positive. I believe he was asked for FM2 but turned it down. I don't think it's impossible to see him make a return. Ashli (Sydney) - I really don't know! I'd love to find out cause I really liked her. Colie (Denver) - never heard anything about her not being asked back. Davis (Denver) (He said he won't say that he won't return but he doesn't seem too interested anymore) - same as Colie Zach (Key West) - I believe I read that he only wanted to do one Challenge. Janelle (Key West) - She was asked for FM2 but turned it down. I don't know if she'd return or not. Melinda (Austin) - she stated on Twitter that she'd love to return next year, when she's done with school Aren't Interested Preston (NOLA2) - yes Sahar (NOLA2) - I'm not sure Ryan (NOLA2) - yes Josh (DC) - I'm not sure. Joey (Cancun) - I'm pretty sure he said he doesn't want to do a Challenge. Plus, he has a kid on the way. Baya (Brooklyn) - V1Man stated earlier that she doesn't want to. Devyn (Brooklyn) - ? Ryan (Brooklyn) - ? Will (Hollywood) - not sure. D-Bag (Hollywood) - not sure. Sarah (Hollywood) - Definitely not interested Joey (Hollywood) - doesn't want to return because of alcohol, etc. Parisa (Sydney) - yes Stephen (Denver) - According to ColiesMom, never got a callback further than an availability check Jose (Key West) - ? Lacy (Austin) - ?
Abe quit The Island and he's come back since then. I also think the tough conditions were part of the challenge and they wanted people to have a hard time adjusting. I'm sure they expected a couple of people to quit based on the conditions, and I really wouldn't hold that against him. But Im sure there are other factors to consider before asking him back, and for all we know he has been asked but declined.
I'm mad at these new people who think their vets after 1 challenge. I thougt vets were people who have done 2 or more challenges.
I'm not a big fan of "If's" and hypothetical situations, but I'm pretty sure even if Danny was on Cutthroat, he wouldn't make it to the final. Chances are he'd go in before Tyler, and he could MAYBE have done better against CT than Johnny, but I refuse to believe when he got sent in again (which is probable since Tyler was part of the core alliance), he'd actually defeat Derrick.
On the Ruins, Brad and Danny were in an alliance and were great friends. Brad hadn't done a challenge with Tyler since the Gauntlet III and were opposite teams and the two never seemed to have a connection until Cutthroat. So I'm pretty sure that if Danny were on the Red Team, Tyler would still have gone in before Danny, if Danny would have gone in at all.
He quit but he said that he'd come back for a regular challenge like the gauntlet or inferno.
Where did you hear this? After he quit the Island, I never heard anything about him doing another challenge. And even if he did, he would not last long at all due to his poor attitude on the Island.
I'm mad at these new people who think their vets after 1 challenge. I thougt vets were people who have done 2 or more challenges.
Rachel R., Coral, Miz, and CT certainly acted like Vets on their 2nd challenge.

Also Abram did The Gauntlet, The Inferno, Battle of the Sexes 2, The Inferno II and The Inferno 3 before The Island and is a fan favorite. I doubt dave earned himself many fans with his island performance (both viewers and challengers).
Rachel R., Coral, Miz, and CT certainly acted like Vets on their 2nd challenge.
Coral and Miz won their first challenge and CT was arguably the best guy on the Inferno. I don't think Rachel necessarily acted like a vet on The Gauntlet, but compared to some of the other girls like Sarah and Cara, she was miles above them in terms of performance. You also have to remember that around Inferno 2 time, there were maybe 2 or 3 cast members that did 4 or more shows, which means that doing one still meant that you did more than a good chunk of people.
Where did you hear this? After he quit the Island, I never heard anything about him doing another challenge. And even if he did, he would not last long at all due to his poor attitude on the Island.
Ryan and Paula were doing this video recap of the episodes and they said that he shouted on the way out to production, "Call me the next time yall do an inferno" or something to that extent.
When did Tonya say she was retired? I honestly can't see her never coming back.
It's funny how we all want the old people back, but we all know its probably not going to happen.

Dave quit like a ***** and said, "I don't feel like it." One quit to put his priorities in order, the other quit because he was a *****.
I wish they would film challenges back to back like they do Jersey Shore. It looks like the next challenge after Rivals won't be out till next year in spring.
When did Tonya say she was retired? I honestly can't see her never coming back.
Tonya and my family have been close friends for years. It's something she's shared with me personally. I've written here before that she had moved on with her life -- both from her abusive former husband and MTV.
I wish they would film challenges back to back like they do Jersey Shore. I hope we get 2 challenges next year/every year and dallies because everybody is use to it being that way. I think the Rivals challenge is average right now and if there will be another challenge, I hope its an individual challenge.
It's funny how we all want the old people back, but we all know its probably not going to happen.
Well for me personally it's not even about wanting the old people back. I just want to see new faces who don't just cowtow to these entitled vets. I mean we have all these new seasons yet Fresh Meat 1/Key West is still running things. It's like these recent casts aren't even given a chance and/or just wait around to be eliminated and It's getting very Tired as hell to watch.
Okay so here is a question for long-time challenge watchers. Which seasons of the Challenge do you think aged well? Which challenges in your mind still have the entertainment they had when they aired? For me it's... Battle of the Seasons Battle of the Sexes The Gauntlet 1 The Inferno 2 How about you all?
Okay Abram explained to everyone and made a plea to send him home and as everyone said, "he did it the right way." Dave quit like a ***** and said, "I don't feel like it." Battle of the Seasons Battle of the Sexes The Gauntlet 1 The Inferno 2 How about you all?
The Gauntlet 1 is the most rewatchable challenge in my opinion. Battle of the Sexes 1 and the Duel 1 are also great still.
I like The Duel 2
I really liked Fresh Meat II. Just kidding, it sucked.
I really liked Fresh Meat II. Just kidding, it sucked.
Haha that made me laugh. The older shows are definitely more "re-watchable" than the new ones. BOTSeasons BOTSexes Inferno I and II. For the newer ones I would say: The Duel The Ruins Cutthroat
I could re-watch Battle of the Seasons, Battle of the Sexes, Gauntlet 1, and Inferno 1 over and over again. Not only are they fantastic challenges with great casts, but they bring back memories for me. Battle of the Seasons is what got me hooked on the show to begin with.
For me I could rewatch The Inferno 2 since it was the first challenge I saw. I could also re-watch: The Duel The Ruins Cutthroat
For me, it would be: Battle of the Seasons Battle of the Sexes Inferno 1 Inferno 2 The Duel
These are the seasons I'm actually able to rewatch, and how big the chances are I'd watch them again (1- no / 5 - for sure) The Inferno II - 5 The Gauntlet 2 - 4 Fresh Meat - 2 The Duel - 3 The Inferno 3 - 5 The Gauntlet III - 3 The Island - 4 The Duel II - 3 The Ruins - 4 Fresh Meat II - 3 Cutthroat - 5 Just started watching a bit of cutthroat, would really love another 1 of these, especially people being able to pick the teams makes it fun for me.
