Denver. Why? lol So just about like every other season? ;) Personally, I think it'd be cool to have two gay guys or two lesbians in the same house...and then have them fall for each other. We haven't had any seasons where a same *** couple were actually two members of the main cast. I think the dynamic of that would be interesting to see -- especially if one was extremely comfortable with their ***uality and the other was still growing into it. Although, that's probably pretty hard to plan in a casting process.
Someone who dated a celebrity because the person may think they are a celebrity and are entitled to everything which will cause drama...the will get attacked immediately. And I just realized that Brooke was in Denver...googled it...I also realized SD was the first season I ever saw. 2 gay guys were in the Philly season...the black guy and hispanic guy...but I would like to see it again...and one have a BF back home!!
2 gay guys where in the philly season....the black guy and hispanic guy.....but i would like to see it again......and one have a BF back home!!!!!!
I know there were two gay guys on Philly (Karamo & Willie) but they didn't date or anything. I think it'd be cool to see two gay guys or two lesbians in the same cast seriously date each other.
Yeah I would love to see it too! I think it would be cool...it would be very different.
I know there were two gay guys on Philly (Karamo & Willie) but they didn't date or anything. I think it'd be cool to see two gay guys or two lesbians in the same cast seriously date each other.
Would be interesting but they would need to step lightly in the editing room with the *** scenes, at least if it was two guys. If they did it wrong, they would lose a lot of viewers I think.
I think it would be a lot of drama if there was 1 gay/lesbian and a ******** boy/girl and they start dating, and then the ******** one sleeps with one of the other (straight) roommates.
I think it would be a lot of drama if there was 1 gay/lesbian and a ******** boy/girl and they start dating, and then the ******** one sleeps with one of the other (straight) roommates.
I'm pretty sure that already happened, it was the Jen-Aneesa-Rachael situation.
I'm pretty sure that already happened, it was the Jen-Aneesa-Rachael situation.
I don't know if you could count that a) because that was a Challenge, not a RW season and b) I imagine that Jmpetty is talking about a ******** person sleeping with someone of the same *** and then sleeping with someone of the opposite *** (which, clearly, did not happen with three women).
I think it would be a lot of drama if there was 1 gay/lesbian and a ******** boy/girl and they start dating, and then the ******** one sleeps with one of the other (straight) roommates.
That happened in Cancun but no one was dating anyone in the house. Ayiiia had a boyfriend back home when she hooked up with Emilee and Jonna/Pat and Joey.
Yea and if it starts filming this month it should air very soon after the challenge ends...I would say maybe around October early November (my opinion) What kind of cast members do you guys want to see? And how many roomies? Cause quite frankly I'm tired of seeing homophobia (remember Ryan from NOLA). I kinda wanna see another meltdown like Brooke from I think the Philly season. I wanna see someone who had a bad break up with a celebrity or something...a cast member who suffered hard physical and mental abuse...someone with a story (who also loves to have fun).
No. It will not air until December at the earliest. 7 roommates because it is easier to follow and it's classic. I really need another asian because it's been awhile... however if they do it this season it will be too close a comparison with Jamie. I'd like to see a misogynist, someone from another country (preferably mexico because people in California really do have a big problem with illegal immigrants and stereotyping them and we haven't had one in quite sometime), and an 18 year old... I like the young kids on the show. The naive personality always brings a lot to the table. LOL WHY??? That is one of the worst ideas ever. The story would get annoying and the person would make it seem that they have nothing else to them but the celebrity date.
That happened in Cancun but no one was dating anyone in the house. Ayiiia had a boyfriend back home when she hooked up with Emilee and Jonna/Pat and Joey.
But she never sought out a relationship with Emilee or Joey maybe Jonna(?)

Supposedly JD from Brooklyn had dated Anderson Cooper from CNN prior to that season filming, but it was never mentioned that I recall on the show at all. It was just something that went around articles and blogs and message boards.

But now that others have mentioned it, most, if not all, of your ideas have already been done. We have clearly seen lots of meltdowns since Brooke's season. And a lot of cast members have suffered from either physical or mental abuse, depending on what you consider "abuse"...I would say quite a few recent cast members qualify. As for "someone with a story"...do you not consider Dustin's gay **** bombshell a "story"? What about Nany's quest to find her father? Knight's drug abuse? Jemmye's past with an abusive relationship? Preston growing up with a drug addicted mother who abandoned him? Mike and Emily's struggles with their sexuality? Ashley's abusive relationship with her stepfather? Callie's weight issues? Ayiiia's abortion? Jonna's life in foster care? Katelynn transitioning to be a woman? Ryan being recalled to active duty? Joey's drug and alcohol abuse that went so far as to send him to rehab (twice)? Brianna's need to fly back to Philly to dispute domestic assault charges that were filed against her? And these are just stories I could think of from the last 6 seasons off the top of my head. Do I need to go on? A lot of these people have "stories". That's why they were cast. You can blame it on editing if we never get to see what it is.

How have they not done this? The only season this was possible was Philly, but im sure they knew Karamo and Willie weren't going to "fall" for each other. It seems like this could be a big "new" thing for TRW that they are looking for, but they just won't do it...

When I said someone with a story I should have clarified more. I meant someone who has pretty much raised themselves, no family, in and out of juvy, worked at a brothel, etc. I want someone who has had it all happen to them but they have overcome it all and are doing well! Also I am aware there have been many meltdowns since Brooke, but she would turn into the exorcist at any given moment. Davis said she wasn't the prettiest girl, she messed up his room and said she wanted to kill him.

They just don't show those stories even when they have them, like with this season.
I dont think I saw Tonya's season, the first San Diego season was my first. And JD, I don't know...I know he was abused (I think). I guess I want someone completely messed up...drug addict/mental ward/prostitute/abused/seen friends die...like everything you could possibly go through.

And yes, I also suggest watching Celebrity Rehab. You have someone who's completely messed up and has also probably dated a celebrity...
La Jolla is not laid back, we only seem that way. ;) People pay a lot of money to live here, and they do so because it's quiet and out of the way of this kind of thing (why didn't MTV go to Pacific Beach where this would be almost run of the mill?). I live up the block from this house, and none of us neighbors are happy that this is filming on our street. The people that live here are either retired or have babies/young kids, and are not thrilled at the idea of the drama that will no doubt be brought to our doorstep soon. Please don't drive by, there's nothing to see. As you've seen from the pics of the house, everything faces west so you can't see anything interesting from the street anyway. Just creates more unnecessary traffic and hassle for those of us just trying to live our life and raise our families. Oh, and yes, filming was to start today and run thru Labor Day.

Maybe it's just Torrey Pine Golf Course and the businesses in the surrounding area have always been happy to take my money, but collectively, you all seem a happy bunch. I'm curious if the production company complied with the requirements of the San Diego Film Commission and notified area neighbors in writing of the their production. In my experience, which goes back a long time with the show, Jim Johnson and his production crew do a good job of being minimalists when it comes to neighborhood intrusions. They don't really want a poor relationship any more than you do. I've always thought that production should hold a private event for local neighbors with the cast and NO cameras, so you and others in a similar situation could better ***** the people who will be part of your community for a brief time. I do hope you will return to vevmo and share your experiences -- whatever they may be.

No, we never received a notice. Maybe that while I'm on the same block, but not directly next door, makes it too far for them to have to. As of mid May, neither did the neighbor who lives right across the street from this house. I spoke to the Film Commission about a month ago who assured me that "there would be no increase in traffic, noise, that they're not allowed to have parties or even music in the house, and we should barely even know it's going on." [Yes, it's ok to laugh out loud - I did when he told me as well]. Well, that's already a far cry from reality. There have been police patrols several times a day already (which is a good thing, but very odd for this street), in order to make sure the crowd is not gathering I guess. Carloads of 20-somethings have been in steady stream (also not the norm - this is [was] a very boring street), and delivery trucks are still dropping off stuff. So we'll see. Who knows -- maybe this season the house will be filled with Rhodes Scholars, neurophysicists and Chess Grand Masters.

CBS' Big Brother had one in their house (in Studio City), and she decided to do Playboy's "Foursome" show late last year. Gotta watch out for the quiet science geeks. [physics minor myself back in the day]. BTW, thanks for the kind comment, but since I have Hollywood credits as a sleezy reality producer myself, only my mother and my daughter would find me "genuinely nice." Thanks for the update on the local scene. If it gives you any comfort, after the initial surge of people visiting the DC RW house, things became normal very quickly for the surrounding neighbors. The more frequent community policing presence was also a welcome, and now missed, contribution.
I'm not trying to be mean when I say this but if they don't like it they can move---welcoming or no welcoming. I don't see why they getting all bent out of shape about a 3 month show.

If I am going to pay four million dollars on a house to live in a nice, quiet, and peaceful neighborhood, I expect to get just that. Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, downtown SD in the Gaslamp area, or even near SDSU would have sufficed just as great of locations for the house, if not better. Those are the areas where they'll be partying at anyways.

Do we know if anyone from the cast is from TX? Friend of mine went to a casting call for real world a while back and she posted last week saying she was going to San Diego.

Either way, I would not permanently move for a nuisance that will be gone by the end of the summer. That's quite the inconvenience. I think that most people are annoyed that they were not given any notice beforehand so that they could voice their displeasure at a town hall meeting. Had they been given the chance...well, they probably wouldn't be filming here. Here's hoping that the cast will be respectful to their neighbors and not create too much of a disturbance. Given what I have read from neighbors thus far, they probably won't hesitate to call the cops.
What a coincidence, or is it?
Haha not sure if you're being sarcastic but I ask because she's a major party girl and would be perfect for RW.
