What did you mean here? Did she say she wont do another one unless it's Duel 3 or just not another one in general. I was aware she was done but this sentence gave me hope for at least 1 more season of her, haha.
No, she didn't say anything about Duel 3. I'm just saying that you can't know what she gonna to do. You can trust people like Emilee, but not Veronica.
In preparation for Rivals, I just got finished watched The Island all the way through. Something funny to me was Ryan talking about how Dunbar thinking the world revolved around him.
Ryan: "Did you know the reason that my parents got together was because of Dunbar?"
Jenn: "Did you the reason I'm on this island is because of Dunbar? Dunbar is the reason I'm here. He swayed their vote and won me my key."
Ryan: "Did you know Dunbar invented me?"
Jenn: "He's the one who came up with the word protein."
Ryan: "And meat."
This totally made me flashback to Inferno III where Susie, Cara, and Colie played the "I Hate Tonya" game. I love Tonya and I hate that everybody treats her like **** on these shows.
Woah, kinda sucks that she won't do another, but after reading that it makes sense.
I'm not surprised. After all her ****-talking during the Challenge before hers, she went on Cutthroat and sucked at it. How embarrassing for her...
Really... with Casey and Shauvon?
I'd put Jenn at the same level as Emily and Cara Maria, with Laurel above them and Camila below. Then Paula and Johanna. But that's just me.
I won't say Paula and Jenn = Casey and Shauvon, but I see it as Jenn has a big bark and not much bite.... Paula has more bite, but she has more of a whimper than a bark (AKA, Paula seems like a better competitor, but seems emotionally unstable, while Jenn is in her right mind, but isn't as good a competitor as Paula). IMO of course.
I'm bored so I'm go to make a list of the most memorable moments that were unique to each season. (I'm only listing the seasons that I've watched).

I probably forgot a lot of moments so feel free to mention more.
CT should be the rookie MVP for Inferno I in my opinion.
Also, I wasn't sure where to ask this so I figured I'd post it here. I might have just been imagining this, but I thought Zito from the most recent RW season was supposed to be on this challenge, and obviously he's not. Did I just make that up or was he rumored to be on originally?

It's been said that Dustin was approached but declined. It would have made sense for BMP to attempt to cast Mike and Dustin.
But, it's okay as long as you pretend to not care about the challenges anymore and write unnecessarily lengthy blogs to prove it.

Don't forget making a statement by changing your twitter name to "NOTMTV"
I don't know if they're changing the general track of the challenges or if it's nothing, but there seems to be an abundance of gym talk on social networks lately.
Brandon said "got to get motivated", Nehemiah talked about the gym, Mike Mike talked about it.

Katie was a rookie on the Inferno.
Alton and Kina were not rookies on the Gauntlet 2.
Frank was not a rookie on the Gauntlet III.
Yes Alton, Frank, and Kina were on the Rookies team, but they were both on their 2nd challenge.

Being on their 2nd challenge and having done 2 challenges before are two different things.

I thought I already established that.
So I was looking through Derrick's podcasts but didn't have enough time to listen to it...but apparently Dustin Zito and Adam King have a rivalry going on too? Does anyone know about what this drama is? Please tell!

Yea I heard that supposedly Adam King got drunk and started hitting on Heather in front of Dustin at one of the parties in Vegas. Dustin didn't confront Adam there but later wrote an email threatening Adam saying that he better not meet him in the streets or something like that.
Both are these guys are cupcakes. lol

Im pretty sure the Inferno was Katies 2nd challenge and not her 1st....
Im pretty sure the Inferno was Katies 2nd challenge and not her 1st....
Rookie =/= brand new person. Not trying to be rude here, but people need to please stop misinterpreting the term. If you've only been on 1 or 0 previously aired challenges, then you are a rookie and paid as such on the challenge you are currently playing. It just a clausal term.
Here's a random question that popped into my head.
Is the cast allowed to bring cameras with them? I remember there used to be tons of picture from the challenges leaked onto Facebook/Myspace with pictures of the cast, but with recent challenges it just kind of stopped. Maybe rules have just gotten stricter, but I used to love to see the cast messing around and having fun.
I would post this in the Rivals thread, but I'm trying to be as spoiler free as possible for the season since it's potentially the last of the series.
Anybody want to predict the ratings for the premiere episode of Rivals? Do you think it will hit the 2 million viewer mark? RW: Back to Vegas 2 got 1.737 million viewers for its premiere episode with a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic. I've seen many advertisements while watching The Real World, MTV Movie Awards, and my occasional stop on MTV while flipping the channels. MTV is definitely pushing this show. I'm hoping for the best, but I'm guessing 1.5 million viewers with a .9 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
If you are confused about ratings this link might help explain things.
Any other guesses? I think the Rivals concept will definitely draw in some new viewers, or at least new viewers from RW: Back to Vegas 2.
It's pretty disgusting to admit this, but I'm thinking the ratings might be a little higher since most of the teeny boppers that love the Real World will tune in to see "dream boat" Adam Royer.
I honestly don't think the challenges will be done just yet, whether they get good or bad ratings. IMO the Challenges will keep on going with the Real World series, as long as RW is around... so will the challenges. It is just one of those traditional long running MTV shows.
On my thoughts with the premiere episode, the ratings will probably be a low 2.___ viewers.
I agree with the challenges continuing as long as Real World is around. I think RW is staple for Mtv as are the challenges. I mean can you think 2 other shows on Mtv that have been around since 1992 and 1998? I mean I also thought the same thing about Road Rules.... so....

Welcome to vevmo. As a new person (and perhaps even as a long-term lurker) you might not be aware of other info elsewhere in the forum regarding MTV's renewal of the challenge production contract with BMP. I'll try to sum it up briefly.
The most recent comment by anyone associated with the show is by Mike Ross (Vegas cast) who wrote on twitter that he expected the challenge to be renewed. With only 140 characters available, he was unlikely to add why he thought this, so we're left to balance his comment against others. Why comment at all if there were not some question about the future of the challenge?
Prior to his tweet, as early as Fresh Meat 2, some cast members had mentioned conversations with production which had raised the question about the future of the challenges. Those conversations were more pointed during Rivals to where everyone apparently knew the importance to the future of the challenges for Rivals to be a great challenge. Thus, one can conclude that MTV must have communicated to BMP that the future of the challenges was in doubt.
The cast has done their job. We can help, I think, by encouraging people we know, to watch on June 22 and at least the following week, either live or by DVR, to ensure the highest ratings possible. It seems to me that there is a certain complacency in believing the challenges will also be around when spinoffs of Teen Mom or Jersey Shore would be pulling from an audience base two to three times the size of recent challenge audiences. MTV exec are not foolish. They can crunch the numbers.

Thanks a lot, man. BTW where was it where Mike Mike said he is pretty sure the challenges are going to get renewed. Can you please send me a link to it.
Also, so your saying they are most likely going to continue?

I have no inside knowledge, and the only evidence is anecdotal that BMP has been worried about renewal for at least a year. If they are worried, I'm worried. Personally, I'd hope for a contract renewal announcement before the 22nd, but I'm not holding my breath. If I didn't think the series were seriously at risk, I would not be be urging people to do everything they can to raise viewership for the premier and the immediately following episodes.
I am not sure what to think about this topic. On one hand, I like the Challenges to get a glimpse of what Real World vets are up to; on the other hand, the Real world vets act like such spoiled, entitled pissy little B's on the show, that I usually end up thinking less of them. I usually can't make it past the second episode of a Challenge season with any enthusiasm for the season.
