The only redeeming factor of this otherwise boring episode was Mike in a cow suit. That is all.
And the intro. I like the intro for this season a lot.
I'd also like to point out that after I posted about my "You Know What I Mean?" counter, Nany decided to not say it for the rest of the episode. Hopefully that trend can continue on in the future.
Soooo...who's taking bets on whether Adam is A) asked to leave, B) forced to therapy, or C) is completely left alone so he can cause more drama? I don't know what's worse, his overly controlling nature over women or his drunken antics.
On the other hand, if anyone truly needs help it's Nany, and that's for her own safety. She's been hit by a guy before, and then she purposely wanted to put herself back in that situation where it could happen again? That's not an accident any more, it's a pattern of behavior that could lead to something really really bad for her.
As for that blond chick...it was just kind of sad. It's like she knew she was getting played and purposely stuck around to make it as awkward as possible for Adam. Considering my dislike of him, I kind of have to give her props.
It's official, Nany is the dumbest broad the real world has seen in a long time. I feel no sympathy for her, she wants this type of attention. She provoked it. Dumb *****.

I am sorry that Nany dealt with abuse in the past, but here she is just provoking a violent alcoholic who can't be controlled and playing the victim later. In that daily he was sleeping she tries to wake him up and yell at him and get him raging again. What was the point of waking him up? Than she tells him to chill after she awakens the guy who was flipping out until he went to sleep. She chose to be in Adam's life. Unlike Leroy who basically says stay away from me i don't care about your ****.
She didn't have to sleep in his bed and make out with him, she could of kept it only friends knowing already he is trouble. She brought the Adam drama on herself knowing all the warning signs were there before going ahead with him. Not saying anyone deserves to be around a guy like Adam, but if you have seen his behavior and ignore it, sorry for you.
No matter what Nany did, it didn't deserve the response from Adam in which he offered (i.e. smashing the wall a couple of feet from her head.)
This doesn't seem clear here...
There is nothing she could have said that would "deserve" such a violent outburst.
She was also intoxicated and acting irrationally, but that doesn't mean whatever comes next is "deserved."
I CANT STAND NANI... I am not sure why the other girls or cast members feel bad for her at ALL!! Her boyfriend back home, could have been real good to her, who knows? We only heard one side of the story, her story. She repeatably gave her Ex attitude, hung up on him all the time was flirting in away where she was not innocence . Her ex seemed to be putting up with all of it. So it looks like she is the BAD GIRLFRIEND!!! I do not feel bad for her. She is crying for attention. She is annoying and stupid. You can tell she is a lost girl. She to me is the least cute out of all the girls and then her personality just makes her UGLY!!!. I think what is happening to NANI is nothing more than karma coming back to her for being such a sheet a** girlfriend. And before we knew if sean (the nice guy) had a girl, she went out on a date and then went and slept in Adam bed. AGAIN KARMA! She gets what she derserves. I hope she turns her act around by the end of the show.
Are you joking? You're not seriously insinuating that her being abused (before she came on this show) is karma for what she is doing on this show, right? Cuz 1) I don't think that's how "karma" works. You don't get the consequences before the actions and 2) Whatever problems she has is not deserving of a) Adam's almost threatening her, b) She being abused.
I cannot see how you can say something like that. Think about if your best friend, sister or daughter was being abused. Nothing can justify that.

Thank you! I was wondering if I was the only person here to see that. I don't like Nany by any means, but I can't understand why people are going easy with Adam because he was drunk, and Nany was also drunk, yet they're saying "it's her fault."
Come on people, even if you don't like the chick, no one deserves to be hit by any guy nor threatened. I seriously felt bad for her. No one deserves abuse, no matter what mistakes they made in their lives or how badly they mess up.
I personally do not defend any of Adam's actions, but i do wonder on Nany's choices a lot that put her in bad situations. Adam is messed up i can't defend anything that guy does.
Of course she didn't deserve the outburst or potential violent situation, no one does. But she did put herself in a potentially dangerous situation with a dangerous violent drunk. She didn't deserve to be in a situation of threat/potential violence, but she could of just stayed away and not provoked him but she threw herself into an already dangerous situation even if she didn't confront him more. Not to say just because she didn't walk away she deserves to be harmed I do not mean that at all, but i personally don't like agitating psychopaths or want too anytime soon. Because they are capable of anything and he has no remorse admittedly so who knows what he could do. Knowing her past abuse too, I would of thought she would of left the room ASAP when he was all over the place instead of instigating. Could be repressed emotions and the alcohol who knows.
I would say it was all the alcohol, but than again if you think about it, she puts herself around him when she's sober too knowing he is violent and there is something off about him. I think she has a mentality of either trying to save a bad boy/troubled guy or she just is into bad boys.
The biggest question is knowing who he is and how he plays his girlfriend, why even do anything with that guy? i find her hard to like with the whole cheating on her boyfriend first, than flipping out after 1 hang out that Sean has a g/f when she knows Adam does and makes out with him. She says a lot of stuff, but seems to do the opposite a lot. I think it was all alcohol with the devastation over Sean thing.
My only logic behind Nany liking Adam still is she blinds herself to all his faults and convinced herself he is not like that and it is a front. That and alcohol are the only logical explanations for her ignoring the obvious warning signs and girlfriends and still hooking up with him.

I never said she deserved it nor that it was ok. I said she provoked it and she likes that type of attention, if she didn't then she would not have slept with him. And i don't feel bad for her in this Adam situation because it could have been avoided, and she was not drunk the entire time she was there yet she was still acting like a fool.
And im not going easy on Adam at all, i've said what i had to say about him earlier this season and it has not changed. He's unbearable at this point and im just waiting for him to get the boot.
Is Nani the dumbest and most childish person who's ever been on the Real World? I know it's a terrible thing to say, but when she said she had been hit before, it didn't even sound believable to me. It just looked like she realised all attention was on Adam, and she wanted some camera time. So there she suddenly goes "I've been hit before!". I hope I'm wrong, but this is what it looks like to me right now.
Adam, on the other hand, has some serious mental issues.

I could agree with most of this, especially the bolded part. I do think that has been her downfall so far.
I also think sometimes our views of people based on gender are severely conflicted, although we may not realize it. It's not even just about the fact that Adam's cheating seems to be more bearable in the sight of people than Nany's cheating (name callings etc). I firmly believe cheating is cheating. Other than that, I feel as though, everyone wants to justify Adam's actions. I don't even care what Nany said to him or did, fact is, he got drunk, his actions are his fault.
Just imagine in the eyes of the Law. Does it matter if a police officer ****** off a drunk person or says something the drunk doesn't like? No, you're responsible for your own actions. I feel like everyone says "Oh we understand why Adam acts like this, it's his past." Yet when Nany shares her past, it's like "Oh shut up, you attention *****." That's Great standards.....
As for Nany, she tried to pacify Adam in his drunken states too many times before. Had she heeded the advice of her fellow suitemates and disassociated herself from Adam and not condone his subpar behaviour, maybe she wouldn't have found herself in this situation.
While I am not defending Adam's actions generally, based on the daily clip today, it seemed to me that Nany instigated the part where he smashed the picture in his room and cut his hand. They had him in bed and all but passed out and she came in for no apparent reason and got him stirred up again. She seemed pretty wasted to me as well.

I don't think that was it at all....She said that because Heather kept telling her to stay away from Adam because he could potentially hit her. Nany says "who cares, I've been hit by a man before" basically as a way of saying "I can take it". I don't think it goes any deeper than that.
I could agree with most of this, especially the bolded part. I do think that has been her downfall so far.
She hasn't been trying to "save" him though, she's been blinded to all his faults. At least that's what it appeared to me. Sure she likes these types of guys but i don't buy the whole "she's trying to change him" aspect.
Like Emily from DC, she was one of those girls who would try to "save" a "bad boy". There were actual conversations between her and Ty where she's saying to him that she sees the good in him and wants everyone else to see it too. And once she realized he was a waist of her time, she cut it off. She was smart. Whereas Nany, so far i haven't heard her have any conversations like that, she's been very accepting of this behavior from Adam and it back lashed. She should've cut it off when she had the chance.
I didn't even get Nany's situation with Adam. They were cuddling and Adam clearly likes her. She says i want you to date other people i am sure as hell going to. He's like oh yea, well that blond girl was with me and she's like YOU ******* WTF we are done!!!! Both of them talk and talk about being made to look foolish well i don't feel bad for either one in the situation with them hooking up or looking foolish, they both put themselves in their own situations. I am just talking about the hooking up/dating other people not anything with the violence/abuse.
They both basically say one thing and do another. Adam can't talk because he has a g/f during this so in what way is he getting played if Nany does date someone else? Nany can't talk because she goes on a date with Sean and sleeps with Adam and had that 6 year boyfriend who she was so committed to and that lasted like what 3 weeks in the real world house and there were immediate signs she was going to cheat right away. They should both be more worried about making their significant others look foolish than being made to look stupid themselves. Nany does look bad in the sense she did completely fall for Adam's weak game that he clearly uses on everyone. She even saw it on other girls and still fell for it.
I have a feeling Mike gets less and less camera time as this goes and the Dustin thing comes up. Which is a damn shame. Side note, anyone notice Nany says "bro" when she is drunk like every other word?

I think Mike will get a lot of camera time when the Dustin thing comes up. The first 5 minutes of episode 1 has previews that has Dustin's hands all over Mike like they get into it.
Another good episode. :)
Adam Is a complete ******* and Nany is a Dumb *****.
That pretty much sums it all up.
I sense a love connection! Oh wait.
That clip was funny. He was semi-passed out and she came in to rile him up. Then she's like, "just lay down!"
....what?
Now I guess we all get to look forward to Nany's journey of self-discovery as she battles her low self-esteem, she can only go up from here, right?
This Adam and Nany situation is a mess. I wish she would have stayed away from him. So far, I'm only starting to like Leroy and Mike Mike because they keep it real. I wish they gave Naomi more airtime though.
Holy crap, this episode was television gold. The part where Adam is talking to his GF on the phone controlling every minutia of her life is priceless. The guy is a total tool & the roomies seem tired of babysitting him, but man, it is very entertaining watching his antics.
As for Nany, I didn't realize she had so many deep seeded issues. She seemed totally trashed in that episode so that probably didn't help her emotions. I wanted to tell Dustin to **** when he was yelling and trying to calm her down, but at least he was trying to be caring.
Anyone know when they are going to get into Dustin's background more? This seems like the most interesting storyline and they haven't really touched upon it yet.
This is pretty much how I feel at this point:

You know I really felt like had Dustin not told Heather to go and get Nany away from Adam that whole scene at the house probably wouldn't have happened. Dustin/Heather really should've stayed out of that whole situation. Some people are just dumb and just can't/Don't want to be helped. So they should've just left it alone. Besides they would've probably just had sex anyways.

I am guessing in about 2 more episodes based on some odd things I have read here and there. At least, those things which I felt were clues, suggested in about 2 more episodes.
The title of the daily is "Violence Follows Me" ironically, this video is of Nany following Adam lol. What dumb *****. I would even go far as to say she doesn't show the signs of someone who's been abused by a guy before. When women are abused, they are usually terrified in situations like this. Both her and Adam are attention *****s and are getting what the want right now. Adam has all these girls tweeting him saying how hot he is and they don't care how crazy is gets, he's hot and that's all that matters.
Nany is getting sympathy tweets of everyone telling her how she too good for Adam but is she really? Neither one of them came out of this situation looking good.

If Nany would've just let Adam sleep none of this would've happen, if Adam would not have drunk himself to a pulp none of this would've happened. If either of them had any ounce of self respect, none of this would've happened.
