The Huskies played great, Kemba is a beast. Anyone watch the UF/UK game? I mean, I don't like UF, but those refs were blind. Sucks for them. Ohio State is starting off well, good Defense particularly.
The field is set!
If Pitt cant get to the final four this year, they never will (at least under Jamie Dixon) It will pain me to do so, but this might be the first year I pick all #1 seeds into the final four. Ugggghh...

I don't see them getting there either.

Everyone is in an uproar that UAB and VCU got bids over Colorado and VT.
I think Georgia getting in is much worse than UAB or VCU.
I think Georgia getting in is much worse than UAB or VCU.
Georgia getting in is about as ridiculous as Florida getting a 2 seed.
I'm still kind of in shock they gave Florida a number 2 seed and Kentucky only got a 4? What is the world coming to?
I'm still kind of in shock they gave Florida a number 2 seed and Kentucky only got a 4? What is the world coming to?
I think UK deserves a 4 seed. Florida should be a 3.
Ohio State by far got the toughest region of any #1 seed, i would say i feel bad for them but I hate them too much so it makes me happy. I don't have any #1 seeds making the final 4, but I wouldn't be stunned if 3 of the 4 made it.
I have to say...Utah State got screwed. They won 30 games. I realize its the WAC, but its not like San Diego State or BYU played schedules that much better. I mean, just a few weeks ago BYU got blown out at home by New Mexico. Utah State should at least be an 8 or a 9
Colorado has beaten texas, kansas state three times, missouri. UAB has played no one. VCU finished fourth in the colonial, Va TEch is better than them. For god sake Harvard has a better resume than vcu and uab. pathetic.

There best win was against St. Mary. Their schedule is crap. They lost to Idaho on national tv. Might be a good team, but played no one. BYU played Arizona and UCLA. San Diego State played a better schedule beat California, Gonzagam Saint Mary.

They also played VCU (W), Memphis (L x2) and Georgia (L) - all teams in the tournament.

Yes, THEIR best win was against St. Mary's, but you can't say they didn't play anyone. They lost by 6 to BYU, and also played Georgetown and lost. EDIT: Not to mention, Utah State is top 15 in the RPI...

Just because they in the pac 10 doesnt mean they are good. St Marys is an NIT team. And Gonzaga an 11 seed. So thats not exactly a great schedule. Byu and SDSU did play each other 3 times. I do give them that. I am not saying Utah State should be a top seed. But 12 is way too low.
DON'T FORGET - brackets need to be done by TUESDAY, MARCH 15 (not Thursday, March 17)
I'm still kind of in shock they gave Florida a number 2 seed and Kentucky only got a 4? What is the world coming to?
Agreed. UK and UF should both be 3 seeds. But how does UF get a 2 seed and UK get a 4 seed when UK whipped them twice ? UF won the SEC outright but UK beat them twice and UK also destroyed the SEC Tournament. For sure UK shouldn't be the "weakest" 4 seed with all of their good wins.

RPI is a joke.

I can't put them at a 8 or 9 becuase their schedule and their wins do not merit that kind of seed. They are a strong 12 seed but will lose to Kansas State. Curtis Kelly too strong inside.
Uconn final 4. Let's go
Lionsfan, please tell me you're watching the Fab Five special...
Looks like a lot of people are tuning in.
watching the Fab Five special...
Can I just call a timeout and you can explain to me what this "fab 5" stuff is?
Can I just call a timeout and you can explain to me what this "fab 5" stuff is?
...are you serious?
Chris "time out" Webber. I am not watching this, I might later. I am honestly not a big fan of the 30 for 30 thing. I watched the ones on SMU and University of Miami football. It pretty much just seemed like washed up athletes talking about how great they were.
...are you serious?
I was just being playful. When I hear the phrase, "Fab 5" I immediately crack a smile and think "Webber timeout." Then I think, booster scandal. After that, I might reminisce on how they had all that wasted promise, but in the end their collegiate legacy is pretty much etched in stone with the first two considerations.
Lionsfan, please tell me you're watching the Fab Five special...
Yeah I watched it, thought it was really good but it would have been nice if C-Webb had been interviewed for the piece. It is a shame they didnt beat North Carolina for the title because they were a much better team, but I guess it wouldnt have mattered because it would have been stripped from them anyways. It sucks that what most people remember about Webber is the timeout he called, he was a very good Nba player he averaged over 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists per game. For a big guy he had good balllhandling and was an excellent passer.
