Putting out the feelers early... Who would be interested in doing a March Madness bracket? It would be free to join, probably through ESPN.com (free to register).

Lionsfan are you watching the UM-Kansas game?
I love College Basketball and March Madness !! My favorite time of the year !!
Yes molds I watched the um/kan games. Pretty impressed the wolverines took them to overtime but it sucks they couldn't pull off the upset. They need to recruit a couple big guys, they have a lack of size

I'll do it, I'm definitely ready to see how good this Kentucky team is besides losing to Georgia Saturday :(.
I'll do it, I'm definitely ready to see how good this Kentucky team is besides losing to Georgia Saturday :(.
Man, UK this year is good but they just don't have enough depth... they only go 7 deep and their 7th man sucks bad so they're really only 6 deep. UK should put beatdowns on Auburn and LSU at home this week... really should win both games next week too and I think they'll beat UGA in the rematch at Rupp Jan. 29th. They'll be competing for the SEC East this and they might win it . But as for the NCAA Tournament.... Sweet 16 for the Cats is my bet maybe the Elite 8 if they get a favorable bracket. But next year is the year for UK... they've got four 5 star recruits and they'll probably get one more to go with that and I don't see anyone going pro on this year's UK team Miller, Knight, Jones, Liggins, and Lamb will all be back IMO... at the worst they might lose one to the NBA and that's Terrence Jones because of his potential and that's what the NBA loves taking these guys on and of course they'll still have Hood, Vargas, and Poole on the bench so next year they're my favorite to win it all. They'll have a perfect mix of experience, youth, and talent.

What drives me nuts about Vargas and Harrellson is they're the only 6'10 guys I've ever seen that seemingly don't like to dunk. But I think a big thing of our success is Darius Miller, he's really talented, but he's the least agressive player I've seen of somebody with his talent, and it drives me nuts. I think Jones declaring is almost a given, especially if he gets back to the form he had at the beginning of the year, but according to Chad Ford and a bunch of NBA scouts Knight isn't a 1st round pick so I see him staying hopefully. I love Lamb, if he gets better as a ballhandler he could be a serious scorer sometime in his career, and he already averages 14 a game, lol. Onto next year's team, on paper it's the best recruiting class ever, even better than ours from last year. Michael Gilchrist,Anthony Davis Jr., and Marquis Teague are 3 of the top 6 recruits, and Gilchrist and Davis are arguably the two best, and then Kyle Wiltjer is a top 20 recruit too, he's not a dribble drive guy though so it'll be interesting to see how he fits with us. Our line up would be tough to figure out with how talented we could be. Teague/Knight/Miller/Gilchrist/Davis would be my guess, I have a feeling Liggins might declare, but if he doesn't, with those 5 and Liggins,Lamb,Wiltjer, and the rest of the bench I'm fairly sure we'll be the most talented team in the nation.

Bump to gauge interest before next week. Any takers? 1. Molds 2. Bacchus 3. Fab 4. Spinner 5. LionsFan 6. gjams

Done and Done.
Just signed up. Im excited for the tourny....Duke better not win again....that was a total buzz kill.
On another note...glad that my UCLA Bruins are gonna be back in. I am not expecting much but hopefully its a sign of good things to come in the next few years.
I'm in....can't wait...I'm so damn good at this !!
I signed up too, I'm usually pretty good at this, after the 08 tournament and I got all 4 Final 4 participants, both teams in the finals and the National champion right along with 7 of the Elite 8 right they won't let me join in theirs anymore, but these are always fun to do.
Yeah yeah yeah, let's all say how good we are ;) I on the other hand have never done this at all...fingers crossed for beginner's luck.
There are 7 people in the group right now :) First ever bracket, can't wait!
Have to respect BYU's decision I pulled the Fox story as it is the only "credible" one I could find that would actually back the decision to punish a player for having sex. You have to go to a Murdoch run operation to find bat sh^t crazy. Danny Ainge...You lost some "points" with me today. In other Utah news, two witches were tossed into a local river with rock anchors for being, um...witches.
By the way, I am so down to do a march maddness bracket. I will destroy all of you. Second in the BYU case, I think it is impressive that a school has standards and sticts to them. Think about it, BYU became aware of the situation on monday, and then on tuesday suspended him. It did not suspend him for one game, or something stupid. You break the rules and now you face the consequences. There are too many exmaples of college basketball players just sliding by, and breaking the rules and not facing the consequences, Rendardo Sidney, JOsh Selby, and countless others. BYU should be appalauded in their actions, (though I do not agree with their rules) if you break the code you get in trouble.

Is she pregnant? Did he feel guilty?
I believe he admitted, to it. I am not sure, but since he is still enrolled at the school, and will be probably allowed to play on the team next season he must have told the truth. Also he has showed much remorse about the situation. And Molds I will win, watching reality tv, making lip sycning videos are not the only two things I know and love. I am obsessed with sports, and college basketball/march madness is the greatest month ever. If only their could be money invovled.

He could be allowed to continue his education. He could be reinstated next season. Would a regular student be reinstated with no further punishment? No, because they don't have a sport to be taken away. I would imagine that while Davies' punishment is a big blow to him, if he were a regular student he would be facing suspension and/or expulsion from BYU. I highly doubt they will expel him and I wouldn't be surprised to see him back on the court next season. BYU's decision to suspend Davies the day after hearing about an incident is no different than the countless number of programs that suspend a player after hearing about criminal misconduct. While there are a number of players that "slide by", there are also many more that don't. The honor code at BYU, in my opinion, is nothing more than a stricter version of a contract most players sign when they agree to play for a University that says they will be in good conduct throughout their playing years. It's not as though Davies was a kid from another state who wasn't prepared for the challenges one would face abstaining from alcohol, tobacco, sex, and caffeine for the first time. He was raised this way. He knows the rules. He made the decision, he has to live with the consequences. And while I don't agree with BYU's honor code, I also have to applaud the fact that they stuck by it when it would be so easy to wait until the season is over. This kid won't be facing jail time. It wasn't anything criminal. It could have been swept under the rug until April.
