Eh, I didn't think it was any more or less awkward than the other podcasts, I just think CT's the kind of guy with a chip on his shoulder and is therefore very direct. Every other podcast, while nice to listen to, seemed friendly to a fault. Everyone agreed with everyone and it seemed like the host(s) and the guests were trying real hard to not ruffle each others feathers. It's like they were afraid to disagree with each other. There was no evidence of that in this podcast, and to some degree, this podcast served as a sort of parallel for the challenges: the hosts were trying their hardest to contain CT, but as with the challenges that has never been an easy thing to do. Nothing wrong with a little conflict in these happy-go-lucky podcasts, in my opinion :)
I will agree that usually everybody just agrees with eachother, but I would expect no less from Derrick. But, CT wasn't disagreeing with them here and there, he was acting very irrational from the start...
I really think he is going to do another 1. He was hinting towards it, but never actually said it. I really think it was a great pod cast. Derrick felt uncomfortable from the start. Kenny and Ct were fine.
pretty cool podcast but i felt bad for derrick, CT was pushing his buttons for no reason. While CT was keeping it real, he made absolutely no sense at times. "What else do you want to know? How I wash my balls too?" lol
CT, what a joke man. Grow up you idiot. But I love him!:D
I don't think it's a problem when people don't get along with or argue with the host of a show...hell I wanted Kenny to be there for the Tyler podcast just to see what would be said between the two since Kenny has said some pretty mean stuff about the guy. But at the same time that would've been a reason for them to argue...I didn't really get why CT seemed so angry with the two of them, especially since he's apparently friends with them both.
I think CT was just messing with them most of the time, in a jokingly way.

But, CT wasn't disagreeing with them here and there, he was acting very irrational from the start...
You know, I felt that way for the first couple minutes of the podcast, but really as the I continued to listen he just reminded me of that guy in a group of friends who gets off on being kind of an *** and busting people's balls. I think he gets off on saying over-the-top things like putting Derrick in a Boston Crab and sticking him in a suitcase, but isn't maybe a little melodramatic to say the guy was being irrational? It's not like he was flying off the handle. We've all seen him when he's let his temper get the best of him, and that was not the vibe he was giving off in the podcast. Basically, I agree with Adrian!!!!!!'s comment :D
That was an incoherent mess.

I don't think CT was acting irrational. He just didn't like Derrick's questions. Later in the podcast CT asked Derrick for "relevant" questions/questions of "substance".(hahaha) I think CT was caught off guard when they said that they wanted to use the podcast to tell his story. He said he had none, perhaps to avoid any personal questions.
I didn't really get why CT seemed so angry with the two of them, especially since he's apparently friends with them both.
CT said that they only know him from the show. They don't know him outside of it which is probably why he took offense to them trying to get his story since they're not friends
I really think he is going to do another 1. He was hinting towards it, but never actually said it.
I don't know about that. When he and Derrick were comparing the current conditions to the old school challenges, CT said he rather do other things with his time. At the end of the podcast when Kenny asked him directly if he'll be on the challenge if he gets the call, he said I don't know. He said makes his money outside of the shows. He said if he were to do it he'll "like to know if it will be fun at least." He kept Big Easy around on Gauntlet 3 because "it's not about where you end up but how you get there." I think he was using the podcast to see if he can build an alliance hence the "will you have my back" questions. I don't CT liked what he heard. He admitted he probably won't be asked back since he was a liability.
If I'm Derrick and Kenny, I'd toss Johnny to the curb and have CT's back. Make it a Derrick, Kenny, Evan (If he's ever coming back), and CT alliance.... much stronger than they would be with Johnny. They'd have all bases covered.

I think CT is just sick of being portrayed as the bad guy. It seems like he has such a high guard up now.
I love CT. He felt defensive in the interview imo. Maybe he thought by Derrick and Kenny continuously asking him to tell his story, he took it as them probing about his person life story, which he didn't want to share. Idk Derrick is kinda hypocritical. He invites a guy attempting to be his friend on the show and then retweets rude comments that people write on twitter about CT.

Derrick's also done it to other people that he's supposed to have/has had on his podcasts too.

He was probably like wtf at derrick's questions of "do you deadlift" and "can you dunk a ball" lol
I'd personally want Abram somewhere in there too because he is naturally good like Evan and CT and is good at strategy.
If there were ever a challenge with CT, Abram, Derrick, Evan, and Kenny in an alliance and on the same team, my tv would probably explode because it couldn't handle the epicness all at one time on a screen
Well, the thing about Derrick is he really isn't great at hosting a podcast. He's best when he is just bantering with Johnny and Kenny, but even then Johnny and Kenny provide most of the funny stories and jokes. Mark Long could've gotten a good interview out of CT, but alas.
Yeah but CT interrupted him and just babbled within the first 5 seconds when Derrick was trying to introduce him too. They probably didn't want to **** him off and have him just hang up at that point so they just ran with it is what I'm guessing.

I was hoping that he'd kind of get the hang of it, but they all still seem awkward to me. But, I still listen, so he must be doing something right!! I only got through about 10 minutes of the CT podcast so far, I can barely understand him! Was he at a bar or something? I could have sworn I heard him ordering a drink in the background...
The podcast with CT is hilarious. CT is making Derrick and Kenny feel so uncomfortable! HAHA. It's funny to see how these two guys, top players, are reacting to CT.
CT is hilarious, everyone else was blah compared to his interview haha. This is how it's supposed to be done, unpredictable and non-robotic. I love how he just randomly brings up the G3 final with Eric and how he keeps cutting them off throughout the entire interview lol.

He sounds drunk.
I just listened to the podcast and there wasn't anything bad... it really just seems like his personality. He has a brash and defensive personality, even in his interviews.

I thought he might be drunk because I thought I heard him say something about paying for cocktails.
Interesting interview dynamics... For the MTV Networks/Viacom attorneys who rightly worry about liability issues, this interview might be problematic. What are they to think about CT in this interview when they know the problem his past challenge behavior has caused them? They want the CT who can be really good TV, but not the guy who can't be controlled and causes cast members to be concerned about their personal safety. How do they know which CT they are hiring? Certainly, one can be entertained by parts of the interview, but given his past, can anyone state with absolute certainty that this interview is proof positive that CT is someone in control of himself who outside of the structured competition of a challenge does not represent a threat to others? I saw "Cutthroat" as an effort by BMP to rehabilitate CT. That is probably an honorable thing to do, both for CT and for the viewers. I can't see how this interview enhances that agenda with a single step forward.

Actually, if i were Mtv/the people who invite the cast i would see this as a positive step forward. Not only was the interview entertaining, but it also showed CT in a better light. We saw the same person who loves to get the last word in and doesn't give two ****s about making people uncomfortable. At the same time, he did his best to shed his "monster" image and made it clear that if he were to come back, he would do it right this time. And supposedly this part portrayed CT in a lot meaner fashion, as Derrick has tweeted a million times that part 2 shows him as a much nicer guy. But its not like an interview on a podcast is going to be the deciding factor of whether he should be invited again. I don't know what criteria the producers are going to look for to let him back - they might base it off the vibe the other cast-mates get about him. However, i think it was to his benefit that there were no red flags in the interview. If he had said something like "ask me another foo foo question Derrick and I will smash your head and eat it" that could have been the straw that broke the camel's back

Thanks. I didn't suggest that it would be a deciding factor, but were I vetting the cast, the interview would not give me confidence about clearing him for the next challenge, because it just seems a little off. Vetting standards across all of reality TV have tightened a bit in the past 18 months.
I think the podcast was "off" for a lot of people because it's not what we expected to hear. It's not the image rebuilding podcast we anticipated. Instead, CT was testing the waters for a possible alliance if he were to be back. He admitted he was an insurance liability and probably won't be asked back but, instead of saying "I want to be back and will do anything to get back", he seemed pretty ambivalent: "I don't know, I'd rather do other things with my time, They're not as fun anymore, I'm getting used to my normal life". Instead of jumping up and down at Derrick's suggestion of a "Beat the CT" at every challenge, CT said he's not an`animal and he's not trying to be the ******. Mark Long's Duel 2 Aftershow interview was successful in rebuilding his image because CT shared something personal. In this podcast, he flat out refused to and got defensive when the first words out of Kenny's mouth was "We're going to pull your story out of you". We all know about his brother's murder but he referred to it as "stuff in his personal life". Even a simple question like How did you get to Prague?, he deflected sharing anything personal with a joke: oh, the tranquilizers wore off. I don't think anyone should take this as CT's serious campaign to get back on the challenge. He was asking someone to stir the food and toss him a cocktail two minutes into the podcast so I think he's pretty ambivalent not only about doing the podcast but doing another challenge.
Just listened to Part 2...he's much more coherent and understandable but he doesn't want to answer questions. They tried to play their name game with him and ask who his ideal team would be for the next challenge and he dodged both. The only person he responded to on the name game was Derrick and a little about Darrell but for Evan, Wes, Johnny, Aneesa, he said "I don't know them". I understand that he has a chip on his shoulder but you're on a podcast with Derrick and Kenny that centers on the challenge, if you don't want to talk about the challenges then why do it?

I think CT prefers his privacy, but I think it's nice he agreed to do the podcast at least.
LOL @ CT bringing up when Big Easy teabagged Kenny.
