Does anyone else watch this? It's a great show. I'm shocked the premiere got 7.7 for ratings considering it was on hiatus for two years, thats awesome and I hope its able to keep the ratings up.
My old roommate was obsessed with this show! I watched it a couple times and it wasn't bad :)
7.7 is great! I'm not sure what BET shows normally get, but I'm willing to bet that set a network record!

I don't think BET gets very high ratings for their original shows. I actually heard on the radio this morning that it is a network record. It beat out the '09 BET Awards.
People say that they should have picked up from where they left off. But personally with the 2 years later situation I think they will have a bigger more longer storyline which makes it a great season. Gotta the love the 7.7 million viewers on the premiere.

Holy CRAP!!! 7.7??? On CW it could barely break 1.0.....and I agree it is a great show.
I'm glad to see others enjoy the show, I was afraid I'd be the only one.
I think they should of tied up loose ends before they created all these new storylines. I don't mind the new stuff its just kind of a slap in the face for the old fans who have watched the show from the beginning. I was watching all types of interviews with the cast saying that Malik matured this year and he was extremely different. The first episode was completely out of character for him. Malik can be an *** sometimes, but damn, they completely ****ed up his character. I hope he changes. That was low what he did to TT.
Not at all TJ. And I was waiting for someone to make this thread. Its a great show. I love it. But people I know are tripping over **** like Brittany (Kelly and Jason's) kid being replaced. Lolin.
Im gonna give you a short summary. The show is a spinoff of Girlfriends, and it focuses on the lives of fictional football players called the San Diego or Los Angeles Sabers and the women in their lives. Which features Tia Mowry,
Pooch Hall (Miracle's Boys) and Wendy Raquel Robinson (Steve Harvey Show)
fixed.
They are called the San Diego Sabers. LA and San Diego are two different places.
And I could see why people are trippin out about Brit Brat being replaced, she doesn't even look like she could be Jason/ Kelly's kid. I don't think it will matter, we probably won't see her that much anyways.
Kelly and Malik's characters have been ruined. The first episode was OK, but as a film major I was not impressed.
I agree. I always loved Kelly and Jason together. They were my favorite couple. Although, I still can't figure why Kelly was always so offended that Jason would date a black girl, I mean he is black. It kind of bugs me that the writers threw that bit in there.
I agree, I didn't like how they changed Brit Brat, but I guess the actress has moved on, it HAS been 2 years. I was also disappointed that there was no Rick Fox. They didn't even explain what happened. How do you go from Rick Fox to Terrance J??? Lol.
One more thing, anyone notice that Tasha and Malik didn't say ONE word to each other all episode? He even walked right passed her and just looked at her. I wonder is something happened during those two years between them...hmmm....

I don't know if this is true or not, but I think Coby Bell's (Jason) character is supposed to be the stereotypical black athlete that starts dating outside his race. I honestly don't know why Kelly's offended either.
Also, I hope Malik won't really be this triflin this season.

I didn't like the new Brittany either. I usually don't have a problem with replacement actors/actresses but yhis girl was acting like she was 15. Wasn't she like 8 or 9 when the show first got cancelled?
Yeah I noticed that Malik and Tasha didn't say a word to each other! That was weird because I thought he was a mama's boy.

No kidding, TJ. I never stated that it was one place. I said either or type of thing....
I agree about Jason being stereotypical.

I read on another forum maybe it was because the show is now in Atlanta, where as before it was taped in LA. Maybe it has to do with her parents or something, not sure how old she is in real life, maybe 13, 14?
I noticed about Tasha an Malik too. That's also weird considering how close they are. Maybe it has to do with Tasha being all about Derwin now, cause he's the star.

Only better...... ;)
I have yet to see the renewal of it though, but I haven't heard many good reports so far. I hope they can make it interesting enough to keep up the ratings.

Outside of Vevmo, the reviews by other fans haven't been good. I was reading the fan comments on BET last night, and it seems like a lot of fans are disappointed. They basicially said that the lighting and the camera angles suck, they don't like how Malik has been acting, Tasha's acting like a punk when it comes to Kelly, they miss the old Kelly, and don't like the girl that plays Brit Brat now, there are too many black stereotypes, and they're confused as to why none of the other Sabers and Sunbeams aren't on the show.
Oh yeah they really don't like Terrence J as Tasha's new love intrest lol.
Many people I know personally was a bit shocked at how little things were changed but I can't wait to see Tasha Vs. Kelly round 2. lol Also I hope TT spills the beans on Malik sleeping with his Bosses Wife.

Blasphemy!!!!!!
They better come up with some creative but likable ideas again because it makes not sense to renew a series and lose 75% of your fans. I personally would like to see Kelly and Jason back together, or at least have a lil somethin somethin and then "regret" it after, but realize they're still in love. I felt sorry for Kelly at the ending of the last one. As for Tasha, she was the HBIC, she should stay that way. But I will try to watch the episode soon.
